Greetings troopers! For a while now FISD has been hosted on the Legion web servers who cover our hosting costs along side those of the Legion. We do still have costs we cover ourselves, the big one being the email service. Over the last few years this has been generously paid for by members of staff, who have already covered a chunk of this year. In order to fully fund the email service we need to raise $150 to keep the emails going until the end of the term. We would like to let as many of you contribute as possible, so we are asking for a $2 donation towards the running costs from any members who are in a position to do so. Now you might be asking what do I get out of this? First we all get emails! You also get the warm feeling of knowing you are a trooper helping troopers. Fellow Troopers, I started my build 3 years ago, and finally as of 3/6/24, I am finally approved. Doing my 1st official troop on 3/21 or 3/22 and can't wait.

This is so exciting seeing all of these builds come together! Since I'm starting a Captain Enoch build for my husband, I figured I'd post it here so that I could get assistance and also offer any assistance I can as we work to complete this costume and CRL. I really liked the layout of @Lidocaine build thread here, so forgive me, I stole it to be the format for mine as well. I'll come back and update and edit and fill in blank spots as I get those resources pinned down. Helmet: Resin printed by a friend of mine, he's actually looking to sell finished helmets and raw kits, I'll have him finish his listing and link it here . Edited to add hyperlink to kit. Neck Seal: It looks to be a R1 neck seal and undersuit but in a different color, so I may reach out to Jim and see if he's interested in making his undersuit/neck seal in this color for Enoch. Undersuit: see above Belt/Kama/Holster: The friend who printed the helmet for me is also a leatherworker, so we are going to work on the leather parts, I'm still searching for a source for soft parts. I've reached out to Sheev's Emporium and Geeky Pink's Phantastic Gaskets, but I've not heard back from either so far. If that changes, I'll edit this to reflect that, or a friend and I will be working to try and recreate it ourselves. Chest/Back: Since the consensus is that these are custom, I'm going to be printing Galactic Armory's Captain Enoch armor 3d print files Arms/Legs/Abd: I'm getting the rest of this armor from Jim Tripon Gloves: I saw it mentioned that these also might just be recolored R1TK gloves, if this ends up being the case I'll add this to the list of soft parts to see if I can get made. Handguards: Thinking that they are the same as the R1 suits, just with the custom coloring. Included with the 850 armor. Boots: Just going to order a pair from Crowprops or KeepTrooping, anyone have any thoughts/preferences on either? Blaster: One of the threads I've read mentioned this blaster , any thoughts on if this is indeed the correct one? If so I will order this one. Both myself and my husband are absolute perfectionists, so I want to build this correctly, which is why I'm documenting it here and on my IG, I want to be able to correct course as I work to make this perfect, and I absolutely welcome your feedback as I build this. Now to go make a build thread for my Night Trooper build since I'll be doing these simultaneously.

Thanks for the feedback! Ill make modifications 1)The first small rectangle that appears to have a ridge could easily be achieved by weathering. Easy fix 2) the rectangle on the left is in between the 2nd and 3rd circle. You are comparing 2 different angles. My pic is a straight on look , where the Enoch pic is at an angle. 3) Seam line, Must be lighting. All of my armor is resin prints. Resin doesnt produce print lines. 4) I also think I need to bring the sash down farther to expose the 3 cirlces and 6 of the horizontal lines on the center ab piece. These pics were the first time trying on the upper section. Definitely still have work that needs to be done. Thanks for the help!

Yeah for sure, Mine houses a speaker and passive sub in that section of the abdomen. I dont disagree with the circles need to be solid.

Troop 48 Toronto , Ontario March 17, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 3 This was the final day of the con and was again a lot of fun despite being exhausted and sore. We were visited at the booth by Roger Christian (Set decorator Episode 4 , Second Unit Director Episode 1 and 7). Always great to see Roger. He is very down to earth and loves to share his stories. Total donations raised for Make A Wish were around $5,500.

Troop 47 Toronto , Ontario March 16, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 2 Day 2 started bright and early and was again a very fun day. We were visited by Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles), Eman Esfandi (Esra Bridger - Ahsoka ) and Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elisabeth - Ahsoka). All were amazing,y friendly and excited to visit us at the booth. My son also trooped with me in his scout costume.

Troop 46 Toronto , Ontario March 15, 2024 Toronto Comicon 2024 Day 1 This was the first of a 3 day troop and my first troop at a con as part of the garrison command staff. It was fun to see things from the organization side of the con as well. We had a great auction with 3 lightsabers, a citizen Star Wars watch, 6 Rsvlts Star Wars shirts and many other items thanks to generous donations from vendors. I didn’t manage many photos this day but served as a target for blast a trooper.

Awesome tip. I will check out the mineral spirits approach. As for the patching, that is kind of how I felt about it as well. I picked up the Novus plastic polish and will be working on restoring the luster with that.

Nice job on the patching - I don't think it will be noticeable from a few feet away. The fine line on the paint is tricky, you can clean it up slightly with a toothpick dipped in mineral spirits (just DO NOT USE acetone)

Troop 36, 37 and 38 GalaxyCon Richmond all three days were full. Sunday I wore my TK for 8 hrs. Friday we were honor guard for the Emperor's Q&A. Saturday we met Bo, Moff Gideon, The Armorer and Captain Carson Teva. Sunday was meeting Cara Dune, young Boba, the Emperor himself, and the voice actors from Clone Wars, Obi Wan, Skyguy, and Snips.

[14] 2/9/2024 Night To Shine (Special Needs Prom). MY FAVORITE TROOP EVER!!!! As part of the Imperial Sands Garrison troop that included the other clubs, Star Wars characters were requested to help provide fun photos and cheering for the nearly 200 honored guests. Call time of 4:30 with our portion ending at 8:30 pm. Great smiles and memories and even a few tears of joy.

This has been in reality a 15 year journey. When I initially got approved back on the 6th of March, I posted a pic in the Carolina Garrison FB group of me next to a TK from an event in 2009. That TK actually identified himself. He's in retired status. Hoping he comes out to troop at SC Comicon next month. Words can't describe how excited I am.

These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on. I didn't use anything on my fiberglass Sith trooper, just gave everything a good wash with warm soapy water. With wearing full undersuit I really didn't feel any fiberglass or suffer any itchiness. However I painted the inside of the helmet though, more to cover the smell, I used an industrial enamel as it is a slightly thicker than a lot of paints. I've seen some use truck bed paint for the inside of the armor, which goes on quite thick, does look a lot cleaner if all painted black.

It's an interesting idea for sure. Here's a guy that uses it inside helmets. I am going to try it inside my chest armor.
