Received my FOTK armour and red pauldron shipping notice yesterday. No helmet or gaskets yet but it’s a start. Hopefully others will follow.4 points

Hello, My name is Crookknight. I have built over a dozen sets of TK armor and I am offering any free assistance or advice to newcomers who want to build there armor so they can get Centurion status. I am a Centurion Level HWT and am looking for ways to give back. Post on here if you want any assistance with your build. There are not strings attached. Admins, if this is not the appropriate place to post this, let me know. I did not know the best place to post this. Thank you.3 points

I've already begun work on a 3D model for the blaster, the second I caught a glimpse of it yesterday. Will see what I can cook up in the little free time I have. Doesn't look like there's any good images of the right side of the blaster for now so i'll be interested to see what the other side looks like in the future.3 points

Hi MMELENDEZ, This by far is the most popular option people are going for - one made of resin that you put to gather on your own. Do explore completion kits available, notably T-Jays offering here on FISD, you won't be disappointed. Hope that helps [emoji106][emoji6] https://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-complete-anh-e-11-blaster-kit-offer-2685-p.asp Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk2 points

sith trooper is gonna look horrible on an abs pull, hoping Jim takes this on he gets some detail in fiberglass. 3d printing is way to go but seems like its gonna be a prep nightmare2 points

Well in all my costume prefixes I don't have a TX so suppose I'm looking at getting one now It would have been nice though to see out the new trilogy films with the final Stormtrooper version falling under the FISD and TK designation, YER I know Spec Ops get's specialist troopers but it is still the base of a Stormtrooper. Reading the Phasma comic yesterday and there's a Stormtrooper with the id prefix DB, I want to be a Dead Beat too2 points

Your images are a little small so it's hard to see some details. You have a big gap between your back plate and kidney, you may need tighter elastic there. Big gaps in the tops of the thighs, can you trim to fit better, showing a lot of black on the sides. Also something black hanging down over the thigh, perhaps a strap? Thighs could do to come up also as they appear to be touching your shins. Try to bring your shoulder bells in more, you have a lot of black showing Left bicep needs rotating, also adjust the gaps on our arms, one forearm is sitting under your hand plate, the other has a large gap. By the looks your ab plate appears it could come up more which will give you more room to bring your thighs up. TD not centred and belt slipped down over your butt plate There is also a gap at your sides, perhaps tighter elastic there or shims if you are aiming for higher levels. As I say some detail is hard to make out your images are 240x320 pixels and they could be at least 3 or 4 times bigger, you may also need to upload your images to an online photo host like Imgur, then copy and past into your thread. Looking forward to seeing some bigger images, if you get time try to do a few of the adjustments mentioned before hand.1 point

I’m looking for a e-11 blaster that can be level 3 centurion approved, I was wondering if anyone makes them in foam or where to buy a kit and assemble it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hi Derek, looking excellent for an easy basic approval. For EIB and Centurion levels, you may want to check the CRL statements at http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt so you can read in detail and work on it. Looking at your build I would suggest as CRL states Correct 'Hovi mic' aerator tips are present. Screens used shall be of a wide type mesh, with the rim of the mic and the inside white or painted white. I know there's experienced people here that can suggest a few more adjustement later. Good luck Derek .1 point

[Maybe someone can make hard wavy sponges with ridges molded specifically to fit between those decorative line molds and sell them to us [emoji6] (We’re all looking at you Tony , just send us a complimentary water bottle for the soap, water is scarce for us cali’s). Don’t know if clay bar would help..... Just use a head lice comb [emoji1787] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

The stems and slit on Option 1 may be a little long but I've use similar and just added a washer or two. You can also hit Joseph @justjoseph63up for a set https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34902-centurion-level-rivet-sets-for-sale/1 point

Thanks. I might still build it and just make an assumption. Maybe one day we will see the entire set of armor all the way to the feet.1 point

I wasn't able to hit Canadian Tire for the clamps due to family commitments, but I managed to due a little bit more gluing. Shoulder strap edges trimmed slightly as per lucnak's suggestion (forgot about this, so BIG thank you). I couldn't find a definitive measurement for the edging, so I eye balled it. Second strap being installed I did a little bit of aggressive trimming on the left calf armor, so I have to glue this bit by bit, then install an internal backing plate. Small oopsy Right forearm almost done Armour pieces waiting to be worked on. Thighs only need the back overlap trimmed, then cover strips installed. The bottom front of the thighs had a largish gap that I filled with ABS putty. It needs to be sanded smooth. Gloves are finished with silicone armour. TD is slightly long, according to the CRL. I will cut it down. then install new aluminum strapping of proper width. Shoulder bells will need to be given a hot bath for better fit over the bicep armour. And for some fun and perspective, this is my office, model workshop and armour modding center. And since I have to wait for glue to dry, this is some other armour I am working on... These kits are by BAn Dai. They are relatively inexpensive, easy to build (snap together) and look great once done. I bought this kit since I am building Hero armour, and am waiting for my DLT-19 to basically make a version of me as Solo. Pretty good detail. Cheers!1 point

lol. E6000 is a life saver, I still use it on a majority of my projects.1 point

Yes, it would be SpecOps. FISD is the home of white armor troopers (and painted white armor), using standard armor. All colored troopers go to SpecOps, as well as those troopers that have customizations. In hindsight the Sky trooper for instance should be in SpecOps, and one could argue the same for Legacy Era and perhaps even the McQuarrie trooper.1 point

No comment on that they're called Sith Troopers?1 point

Hi Bradley, you can move the strapping closer to the outer border to correct the shape of the buttplate. Alternative you can correct the shape with a warm water bath. I favour the first solution. Cheers Christian1 point

Thank you, gents. It's great seeing it in this state. Whilst it's a little hard to explain, it makes it feel so close to the originals and gives it a real nostalgic vibe. Can't wait to get the next coats done.1 point

On Saturday there was a local armor party which I am always happy to join. This time I asked for help with making my belt, which seemed daunting to me as it involved punching holes in my belt and armor. We started by setting the snaps into my armor for the butt and kidney sections, holes already drilled by Mark at AP. Then we adjusted the belt to sit at the back with proper overlap and maybe some room to expand along with my weight if needed. Following advice from wook1138, I changed the snap location measurement from 59mm to 40mm which seemed much better for alignment on AP armor. I took the nervous step of punching the holes into the belt and using tape with pencil rubbing combined with some extra pencil markings I found the right spot to set snaps into the belt. Then I put the center hole into the belt and lined it up with my center mark. Using a members rivet gun I nervously locked the abs to the belt, the rivets did not come out too clean but they should hold well enough and will be covered with those dome caps. I was also reminded to give the belt a natural bend when placing the side rivets so the belt when worn would not be under extra stress. The position is good but I would have ideally wanted it a fraction higher on the button panel. If this becomes a problem I might consider using a magnet as seen in Simes's ANH TK Build to get it up that last little bit. Also the photo angle is slightly from above, so a more straight on shoot might look better aligned.1 point

Hey Bradley, talk about a ”super-Trooper” Here’s the general guidline for approvals 1. You must have started (and documented) your build here on the FISD prior to June 1st. 2. You will have until September 1st (approximately 90 days) of this year to submit for Expert Infantry and then Centurion if you opt to go for higher levels with that particular set of armor. 3. We took into consideration that an average set of armor takes approximately 3 months (or less) to build and that "life happens", but if you find that it will be taking longer than the 90 days, you will be required to contact the D.O. staff if you are aiming for EI or Centurion and explain your situation.1 point
