  1. I think you look great, IMHO. I'm at a loss why you're not EI already...
  2. You can go centurion with a 2 piece. I mean, it's not like we could tell anyway..
  3. In time for Halloween? Or is that not a concern?
  4. This is coming along really well - great job
  5. Word - these are excellent pieces of advice that most of us learn the hard way. Every new trooper should read and abide by them. Oh, and BTW, I *love* to get kissed by the hotties - check out my avatar
  6. Wish game designers would take cues from real world military more. I mean, having a big thing on your shoulder to indicate specialty or even rank is a great way of saying "shoot me first, shoot me first!". It's why officers wear subdued rank in the field. The best pauldron a TK can wear is No pauldron
  7. Wow, one would think that for armor, esp. with a wait time, one would be all over keeping you up to date.
  8. It can certainly be done. My garrison mate did that on his old TE2 - speakers behind the aerators and everything. I think it's not common as it's hard to get the wiring in there as well (his wife did that part, smaller hands). That, and getting the balance just right. 2 fans, RomFx, speakers, mike. If you really want to go all out, you'll have the earpiece that can hook to your blue tooth device, so you can talk too. I've even heard of some people putting an FRS in their chest or back so they can chat with others, though I think containing it in your O2 cylinder may make more sense.
  9. Wow, I should have someone pimp out my helmet interiors. All I really have is some mesh on the frown and that's it. Very sparse...
  10. Great - get 'em while they're young
  11. I think it Er...I don't think this is right. 20% smaller? If so, you'd never get it on your head! While the ATA may be fractionally smaller than say an TE2, you'll experience far more variation in how the pull was done and even more in how it's trimmed and assembled. I've had several ATA, TE2, MKT, and even put it side by side with an RT. In the end the smallest & largest were TE2's, simply in how they were assembled. I have two ATA's now, one is made pretty small and I can't put it over my glasses. The other was made by a different person, and I can easily get it on/off with glasses. So, YMMV...
  12. It's all good - real life always takes precedence and the hobby is always here, welcoming you back
  13. Email is correct - he has a day job and doesn't always reply right away.
  14. I agree with Patrick. Personally I have always preferred leather pouches, and that fact that I have a canvas one was only because it was what was left over after I sold my sandy. The CRL model was the best we had at the time I created the CRL. There are certainly better looking HWT's now and we should probably swap it out.
  15. Wicked! When this costume was first proposed I was quite leery of it, but we've had so many excellent builds that it kind of grows on one, doesn't it? Well done
  16. Agreed - these are great shots. The advice you give is spot on. And, while the rivets may not be 100% Centurion these days, they are still a very valid way to build kit. Heck, if people get tired of it they can always put on a new sniper plate later...
  17. Awesome NL - congrats team! Awesome photos to the MG & Italian Garrison.
  18. Hey Mark - I don't see this thread as bashing anything, as the consensus reached is that you can make your armor both accurate and troopable, e.g. disagreeing with the original poster.
  19. What does it look like on the inside? I'm now expecting each piece to have it's own foam area
  20. Totally fake! Enlisted men can't afford houses like this. ;-)
  21. Why not - as long as it doesn't suck...
  22. I think it looks great! Don't worry about making tweaks - it's normal and I'm glad to see more HWT's out there.
  23. There are a ton of relevant threads stickied in the "Getting Started - Read this First" forum. You may want to check there. This thread in particular I think should answer it... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/7275-what-is-recasting-and-when-is-it-bad/
  24. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing
