  1. No, you got it spot on. From the neck down, it should take about $50 and a few hours of work. At least, that's how we designed it to be, so that there really was no excuse from any FX trooper from going EI. The helmet though has to be replaced in toto. Also, for many older kits it was normal to rivet the shoulder bridges to the chest/back. If you've done this, you need to drill out the rivets and replace the shoulder bridges.
  2. Yup, pretty much what I do too. If your suit is dialed in correctly, you should be able to suit up in about 5 minutes unassisted.
  3. It will be quite impressive. I believe soon you'll have enough costumes to start your own garrison. The trace amounts of blood are a very nice touch.
  4. Actually good they made it through.
  5. Thanks Erid!
  6. I think it looks great. You'll get used to the weight in short order, I bet.
  7. My suggestion is to help build others armor. It's fun, social, and will prep you for your own build.
  8. I just use touch up spray, e.g. the same dye that I got from to dye them white. Maybe once a year or so? Depends how often you troop (in your TK).
  9. +1 FTW! Sandtroopers only ever appeared in one movie, and they are still very popular. Why would you ever give up the iconic OT TK?
  10. Excellent - another build thread. The Emperor will be pleased
  11. I am not omniscient, but I've not heard any complaints about his product quality. Delivery...well that's another matter entirely...
  12. Personally I think it's a good thing. The intent is that the armor is the same, which is why we wrote it that way.
  13. Well, it doesn't appear in the game render ;-)
  14. Did you get approved? The armor looks great
  15. Good eye!
  16. Yeeeaah! We're all on the same page now - group hug
  17. The short answer is that MTK has not been 100% transparent on the origins of his molds to the staff's satisfaction, and we do not list people on the sellers list if there are unresolved recasting disputes.
  18. I'm still 100% against this. There is so much wrong about how this is being done, I think this is the first time I've ever come out against an FISD policy. I hope it gets reversed next year.
  19. The former. It's been that way since day one, and it is how the charter of the program is written. Centurion was created for those that wanted a higher standard.
  20. I'll still disagree. The point if EI was to be a step above base, especially when base was out of the box FX, and the point was to resolve the most egregious visible bits, such as ab plate buttons, etc. Centurion is for pimping out a kit as far as Legion standard allows. This should really start as a Centurion nice to have (as it's not visible), and if people are finding it way too easy to do, one could always make it mandatory for Centurion. Going to EI makes no sense. It's like the bracket assembly method. Should never be part of Centurion, as the goal of the legion is not to replicate props, it's to replicate what is seen on screen. You can always make such things optional for now and see how it plays out on Centurion. But when we have such a low adoption of EI already, it seems at odds to the point of the program to spend time adding yet more requirements to it rather than trying to get more people to hit the existing bar...
  21. Not the same. The belts were always canvas in the movies, people just used plastic as it was convenient. You can clearly see this detail in the movies. This is a non visible detail.
  22. For the record, I do not believe this should be part of EI. We don't make any requirements to non-cosmetic details, I don't see why this is different. It serves no purpose. Why not keep it with Centurion?
  23. Wow - that should be posted on FISD's facebook page - awesome!! It would even make a great coffee mug...
  24. Also, are you going to include just plain white helmets, or every variation such as ARC clones?
