Your right at the max for WTF. I'm about the same size as you and I'm using Walt's kit for my TKC. That left bicep will need a hot water bath to shape it rounder. Remove all the return edge will help also. How wide would back strip need to be? Are you wearing your compression gear when fitting? For me the kit fits like it's made for me. Except chest. It could be bigger. Don't tell Walt I said that. He gave me a look the day I said it in his shop. Did you get the bigger ab and Kidney pcs.?3 points

Thank you very much Tony! Thank you Daniel! loved your build threads. Approved Centurion reporting for duty So, Stunt will be next or perhaps TFA2 points

I used elastic to hold my shoulder bells, doesn't seem to be an issue with pulling, but then my biceps and forearms are just touching so don't pull. Elastic is strong enough for your chest/ab so on, helps when you are moving, I did try nylon on another build and it's not as easy to move, in my opinion. I haven't had to replace any elastic as yet, all has stayed pretty much the same as 5 years ago.2 points

So, finally my SBB arrived in the post today [emoji4]. After weeks of looking through other members builds and seeing this kit dozens of times it feels really weird (in a good way) to actually have one here in my hands! As it’s my first ever attempt at anything like this I’m not going to try get clever or ambitious ...in fact, if it turns out half as good as the blasters u guys have constructed I’ll be very happy! Using Tino’s finishing kit with the Doopys resin kit and a lot of the ideas I’ll be taking on board from previous builds I’m hoping to end up with a half decent E11 that I’ll eventually be able to troop with. Any advice, creative criticism and encouragement will be most welcome! Thanks, Wayne [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Hi everyone, Below you will find a list of the various ANH kits (for now, I could look into ESB/ROTJ/etc. if demand is there) available and what hardware/accessories/soft goods are included or available as an option. This list was born out of a recent question PM, so I thought I'd expand it out by adding other armor makers and posting it for all. This list is meant as a companion to Joseph's excellent supply list, which I encourage everyone to take a look at: Additional vendor information can be found in this thread: Hopefully this will help all of you with your shopping/builds, as well as act as a resource for those aiming for EI/Centurion in knowing what to expect in terms of additional purchases that will be needed. Magni is correct. Keep the forward cover strip around 20mm, or whatever works, then you use the aft strip to fit your body better. I went with 24/22mm for my return flange and cover strips after taking all my measurements (twice or thrice). Don't despair, a WTF is totally doable for 6' 194lbs. I'm in that range as well. Elastic everything. Also, the arms aren't actually hanging off of the shoulder bell on the original suits, so the bell straps only need to support the weight of the bell itself.1 point

hey there, i just finished building my sandtrooper kit from rs, they order in the pauldrens so im sure it will be no problem to get extra different coloured ones from them, the commission can take around 6-8 weeks "we don't need to see his identification" ------------1 point

I used nylon for: - shoulders - kindey/posterior - with elastic the sides of the posterior kept flaring out and giving me wings - ab/kidney, left (rivet) side - to keep it cinched tight - thighs (w/ garter system) Elastic was used everywhere else for range of motion reasons, and so I can actually get IN my armor.1 point

Apologies for taking so long to get these done -- been wanting to get back to DHS for quite some months. I haven't changed the contrast or exposure on these for fear of altering the color balance. As shot, the colors are pretty accurate to what I saw with my naked Eye. I will bump the exposure a bit in a second set to bring some details out of the shadows. Grateful for the opportunity to serve private gallery of images - Shoretrooper - November 20171 point

Yeah I second elastic for torso. Imagine bending over and nylon and snap holds and armor cracks! I use nylon for shoulders though. Keeps it tight against bridge.1 point

I hate to be that guy but those look labeled wrong. The long swoop should be on oitside and high bulge on inside. I think the right is left and vise versa. With some brands it's easy to identify with longer sides to the outside. Gotta protect that vulnerable ankle! Hopefully Tony chimes back in to clarify. Plus sniper knee would fit better on one labeled right. Ah... Shingate! Sent from my LGMS631 using Tapatalk1 point

Hey Sean, you know what time it is!!, thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present. Thank you for adjusting those drop boxes, they are sitting pretty now. Tony and i are pleased to say your armor displays all the elements as set out in the Centurion CRL. Congratulate and welcome to Centurion rank!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: The only things we have to mention here are simple dressing issues. Watch the non rivet side gap between your Ab and kidney, plus the gap between your shoulder bell tops and shoulder bridge. The photos in your EI applications showed smaller gaps on both so we know they do sit correctly on you. Shoulder Bell Side gap Great job on your build. Time to head on out and make your garrison proud. as their newest Centurion1 point

Decided to update my images. Took some beef of my biceps and they feel much better. Made a shorter elastic between forearm and bicep. I tried to adjust my shoulders as best as possible but as mentioned earlier i have crooked shoulders.1 point

Ha, thanks. Yeah, the wrists are a little on the large side - there was a balance of fitting it to my delicate little wrists and still being able to get my hand through the opening. I think once the gloves are on it isn't so bad, but I must admit it doesn't look good in the picture (I didn't notice that at all). I'll have to check it again when I have everything on. No apologies necessary! That is why I post.1 point

I personally would recommend what I did, Shea. I first got my ANH Stunt approval, (all the way to Centurion) and then I applied for HWT basic and above. You may not need to change the belts, but I found it much easier. The MP-40 ammo pack worn on your left side may hide the holes in the belt if worn right.1 point
