  2. Hi Trina, and thank you for your Centurion application! Before I go any further, my guess is you and everyone else who reads this approval thread is wondering why I am making this post, well you are about to find out. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION. Congratulations! That's right, you are Centurion500!! As it is a very special occasion, the deployment staff, Mario, ShaSha and Joseph have given me the honor of announcing and welcoming you to centurion rank. it's not every day we hit a milestone like this nor the detachment leader gets to make this kind of announcement, so I am honored to be the first to congratulate you. Thank you to Mario for putting this review together and being peer reviewed by the deployment team and staff. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. The brow trim of your helmet, as you can see in the reference photos, should be a bit shorter, this is a very easy and fast adjustment, just be careful to do it little by little so as not to cut too much. Reference Images For more accuracy, you may want to trim the shoulder bridges back tab a bit. Reference Images Next, just a strapping issue here , we suggest to consider lowering your biceps and forearms a bit if possible. it would decrease the gap between your wrist openings and hand guards. Reference Images Looking at your Holster's rivets position, the rear one looks a little angled, we are suggesting to move it a bit forward Reference Images Finally Trina, this is a dressing issue that you may want to take care every time you put on your armor and it's a noticeable gap in the top section of the ridges of your calves closure. Looking closely , it's noticeable a velcro section uncovered. Reference Images Once again congratulations, but that's not all! The staff would also like to join in on this auspicious occasion and offer you congratulations. Congratulations #500 Centurion !!! Thank you for your effort and for being part of this new FISD milestone . Mario TKSpartan. Deployment officer It has certainly been an exciting journey that I have had here at the FISD, and that journey has included my own Centurion application and approval experiences. I remember very well, my excitement, and that of other members who had encouraged me along the way. Well, this is a very exciting day for all of us, but especially for you Trina! This is like a surprise birthday party at the office, as truly, the entire Detachment is joining to celebrate your achievement in having earned the title of Centurion at FISD. 3. Joined the 501st Legion in 2018, became Expert Infantry in 2019 and now… the 500th Centurion. This was something my husband and I wanted to achieve for the longest time but a lot of things - planned or unplanned happened. When I saw the forum thread of less than 10 remaining slots before Centurion 500, I pushed myself to work and submit my Centurion application and inched my way into the first 500. I remember panicking while seeing the other guys getting approved one by one and I’m like here still working through project deadlines. But this girl is a goal-getter and finally the most coveted badge is now under my name. I am deeply honored to join the elite ranks! But this would not be possible without the support of you guys… FISD, Detachment staff and DOs. I truly appreciate all the hard work and time you give for advices and suggestions to improve each and everyone’s armor. Even the simplest cheers from fellow members gives that extra boost of confidence. All comments and suggestions listed by Sly11 are well-taken. Thank You Very Much Everyone! (in Filipino: Maraming Salamat!) Special thanks to Sly11, TKSpartan, TheSwede, justjoseph63, ShaSha… and to NINJAM0VE for achieving our #AdulthoodDreams together. Slow clap to all the men and women before me… the Strong Centurion 500. We all did it! Congratulations FISD! Cheers! Well, it seems I’m not too short to troop after all. - TK18112

Though Moon had only officially become a member the Belgian Garrison and Tornacum Squad in March of 2020, she had been active in the community for years. Helping others was Moon’s passion. Be it as costume designer, trooper support at events, or in bringing smiles to children at hospital events, Moon was happy. May her energy and joy continue to inspire her trooping family. "Buckets Off" Greetings fellow members, and welcome to another exciting edition of the FISD Newsletter! 2021 is a huge year for the detachment, as we just hit another milestone with our 500th approval for Centurion, yep that's right, We have done it!!! and you can read all about it in the special section further down the page. It's also our 15th anniversary in a few months time. That is going to be a year long celebration in itself starting in July. There will be merch to celebrate both these occasions but first, keep an eye open for the C500 exclusive pin sales thread open now on the forums. As you may or may not be aware, we have a design contest currently running for our 15th anniversary coin so please also go check that out and submit your design for a chance to become part of our detachment history. Because we like to keep changing things up, there is always something new to see on the FISD forums. Much work is ongoing to revitalize and refresh as much as possible, and because we have so much to celebrate this year, that also means building and refining some of the older sections. For this one, the plan was to make it very easy for you to take a walk down memory lane and see the foundations of FISD, how the detachment has grown in size, developed and transformed over the years. With that I would like to officially announce the launch of the The Newsletter Archives! Seemed fitting to announce that in the newsletter lol. This is a new sub section of the forums found Here This sub forum of the Announcements section, is a compilation of our Newsletters from the very first edition in 2010. Now while searching, unfortunately some of the older newsletters were missing but we pieced together what we could from various old threads where newsletter discussions had taken place to recreate the ones we could. We believe it is much easier having them all together so you no longer need to search through pages of other posts to find any of them. They tell a great story and each one is a mini time capsule of the month to month life at The First imperial Stormtrooper detachment. We hope you take a look and enjoy some of our history. I hope you enjoy this special edition of our monthly newsletter and until next addition, stay safe and well and we look forward to celebrating with you all. With Unquestioned Loyalty Andrew Franke TK11469 "Sly11" Detachment Leader Greetings once again, Stormtroopers, and Stormtrooper enthusiasts! This is truly an exciting issue of the FISD Newsletter! I mean, just look at it - it even looks exciting, doesn't it? Speaking of looking at the Newsletter, Glen does tremendous work, and we are truly fortunate that somehow, he also managed to find his way to our happy little Stormtrooper corner of the internet. We all benefit greatly from his presence, in ways most of us never realize, so a tip of the bucket to Glen for his amazing work and dedication over the years. We probably don't thank him enough, so thank you Glen. You rock, brother! So, here we are at last, Centurion 500! Be sure to check out the approval thread, and share your congratulations before you head to the merch page, and share your hard earned Imperial Credits...I know that for many of us, the opportunity to troop is starting to happen as the weather begins to get nicer again. Be sure to think back to what you used to do for troops and prepare for any new ones in a smart and responsible fashion. Make sure that you hydrate, use the facilities before armoring up, all that good stuff. Some of us may find that our armor has shrunk... To paraphrase King Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones, get the armor stretcher out before you head to the event, and make sure that everything still fits in a way that you can wear it comfortably. As I mentioned last month, I will be attending the ICCCon in Nashville, TN next weekend. An FISD milestone, and history-making moment you should be very proud of! A.C. NoVATie Taking a look back at the history of the Centurion program Like the march to 1000 EIB I went through the forum looking for information on how the Centurion program first came about. First time I believe it was mentioned was in the Paul's election Q & A back in February 2009 (thread can be found here) There was next a poll in March 2009 to decide whether to keep the name Elite or change to Centurion (thread can be found here) Lots of names came up in the discussion and in the end the poll was closed with Paul commenting a new poll would be posted. Next came a conversation in February 2011 with the program named Centurion (thread can be found here) And another mention end of February 2011 in staff area with goals in 2011 for creation of the program, also conversation about artwork and discussion of the name either Legion Centurion or just Centurion. March 2011 and Paul posted in the announcement area the creation of the Centurion program (thread can be found here) and also the Centurion program overview (thread can be found here) First Centurion standards are added to ANH CRL in April 2011 and announced in April's Newsletter (thread can be found here) Some of the early artwork, variants in color and font Unfortunately I can't find any record of the final design of the Centurion logo that we see today, It was added to the draft Centurion certificate design in May 2011 FIRST patch run of the red FISD detachment logo May 2012 (thread can be found here) It was thought that there had only ever been one run of the red version detachment patch BUT after doing some research for another newsletter piece I discovered there was also a run in 2014 and also 2015 which makes three runs total. 12" Version was produced in both blue and red 2016 (thread can be found here) If you are one of the lucky ones you may have purchased a 12" version which was produced in 2016 which also had an option of a larger centurion rocker, the 12" version and rocker where only produced once. Aren't you a little alien to be a Stormtrooper There’s no truth to the rumors that Kathleen Kennedy is being replaced as the head of Lucasfilm, Disney CEO Bob Chapek assured shareholders on an investor’s call recently. Chapek was asked rather bluntly if Kennedy was being replaced by Dave Filoni or Jon Favreau – both of whom have been building out the Disney+ Star Wars realm with shows like The Mandalorian and the upcoming The Book of Boba Fett. Taken aback, Chapek responded: “We’ve been absolutely thrilled that we can have the kind of talent like Kathy Kennedy to direct Lucasfilm… We look forward to having Kathleen Kennedy running the Lucasfilm organization for many years to come.” Rumors have been swirling about Kennedy being replaced for years, but it has largely just been some wishful thinking on the part of disgruntled fans. George Lucas chose Kennedy as his successor when he sold Lucasfilm to Disney, and she oversaw the expansion of the Star Wars universe with new Skywalker Saga films, spinoffs, and TV shows. Things got off to a pretty great start with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the first spinoff Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was a huge box office success, but the Force Awakens sequel Star Wars: The Last Jedi rubbed some fans the wrong way (despite the fact that it’s a brilliant film). The divided fan reaction to The Last Jedi was exacerbated by the accelerated release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, which became the lowest-grossing Star Wars movie to date by a wide margin, and which suffered its own production problems when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were replaced during film by Ron Howard. The rumors of Kennedy’s seat being in jeopardy even extended to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, and we asked Feige directly earlier this year if he was involved in upcoming Star Wars movies beyond the one he’s production, and he flatly said no. Chapek’s affirmation of Kennedy’s position should hopefully put those rumors to rest, and all in all Kennedy has been successful at relaunching one of the biggest franchises in the world while also steering its expansion into the live-action TV realm. Currently (as of 5th April ) there are 31,045 approved costumes in the legion, out of these there are 5,661 under the TK ID which is 18.28% of all approved 501st costumes. Interestingly if you look back through previous totals Stormtroopers equated to over 20% which shows a decline in our ranks. E-11 Prop Details I ran across this video quite by accident and was amazed, I must have looked at these images 1,000's of times but yet missed these. Check out the video below. You can find some in depth discussion and more images here Currently these detailed pieces are being looked at as an optional extra not a higher level requirement, there are a few different variations of the detailed pieces and also the blasters can be seen by different actors at different times, Han can be seen in the same scene using 2 different blasters so there is no real consistency. (It’s an addiction) I’d really like one costume in each of the 16 Detachments, and I’m working on that! I have a Pink BB unit, and hope to also complete costumes in a couple more Sibling groups to also be apart of every bit of magic we can offer to the world. And I LOVE the color pink. And glitter. This past year and half I’ve struggled alongside the rest you, and somehow, we are going to make it through. Together. It’s been REALLY hard for so many.As far as costuming goes, maybe it’s harder to start a build because you’re just drained and trying to survive-Perhaps you decided you need some joy and said this was the year to be a Trooper!!! Whatever has brought you here, WE are here. The FISD is full of information, Attaches, Command Staff and fellow Troopers willing to help you, or even just chat with to converse with. Someone is always awake!Rat, Ripper and I are always on the search for content. Many countries are still on a ban and may be doing Virtual Trooping. Some of you are out there again. As requested from Rats posting, he’s hoping for some Autism photos.I would humbly request MORE!!!! (In my best Kylo voice...) dust those costumes off, or whip them on and I promise to make the effort worthwhile... why not dress for several events all at once! Dig out craft supplies and make posters. Drag out the vinyl cutters and create decals for your armor, shop for costume accessories. Gather all you need, and have fun with a photo shoot of yourself.I would love to see (and need) photo submissions for 501st Day (May. 1st) May the Fourth, Revenge of the 5thAlso anyone that celebrates Canada Day, Independence Day, your countries days as well as Pride Celebrations. All these events and celebrations are coming up for May, June, July etc.If you’re going to dress forone, dress for them all!!!Heck! We’ll take any of your favorite photos and troops. Just send them over! When submitting, please do add all the info Rat mentioned.Garrison/Squad/Outpost.TKIDPhotographer if applicable.Event or occasion with a bit about the day or why you’re trooping. You can get photos to me here via PM. Or on the FISD Facebook page tagging myself, or through FB messenger. That’s about it for April’s newsletter for me. We’ve now been officially introduced! This is like a surprise birthday party at the office, as truly, the entire Detachment is joining to celebrate your achievement in having earned the title of Centurion at FISD. Thank you for taking this journey, and becoming part of a detachment milestone, to not only join one of the 500, but to become the 500th centurion. Stand by for your deployment order Trooper Andrew Sly11 DL Taking a look back at the history of the Centurion program Like the march to 1000 EIB I went through the forum looking for information on how the Centurion program first came about. 28. Seems I'm overdue an update. I've spent some time working on my blasters in the last week as I had some time off work. Since my last update I reprinted a number of parts on my Elegoo Mars resin printer which gives a far cleaner finish. Some of these are just better versions of the previously FDM printed parts, others have been modified to better suit my specific build. I still have a few bits to print, mainly the detailed hand grips, but they failed on previous attempts and I have yet to re-try now I am better at setting up resin prints. So first up is the Hengstler box. This was modded to make it fully hollow, as I did intend to put the battery here, and a hole was added for the wiring between the screws. I also had to modify the mounting bracket as well. Next up the other side of the rifle for the magazine. This has been modified to add a slide switch. This will be the on off switch for the lighting. It's subtle easy to access and I believe reasonably accurately placed. This was a bit of a pain to mod, and I was only able to get 1 screw in. I have also finished up the basic wiring for the torch at the front, this also has a resin printed ring. To get the torch to fit I had to hollow out a lot of the mount and add some reinforcement on what was left. The wiring is a basic connection commonly used in RC I think. It clips in nicely and will mean I can remove/replace the torch if needed with out having to cut things. As the bore is larger I also had to Dremel out some meat in the main blaster section too. End result should look pretty nice I hope As I now believe I have all the needed holes for the wiring in place I have started sub assembly so I can start looking towards final paint. Basically all parts that need to be glued in place have been. So the hengsteler connector, front hand grip mount, side mount, barrel rails, flash suppressors etc. It was also time to check the fit of the barrel tip. I have 2 of these, one FDM one resin. I drilled the holes to 1/4" as I don't have a 6mm and a little clearance isn't a bad thing. I like to have through holes be clearance holes where I can as then there's no mucking about trying to line up threads later which can cause them to get stripped, which I did on my 3D printer. Finally I have started figuring out the power situation for the blaster. Based on a design from the BlastFX community I came up with my own version. I am using a 650mAh LiPo battery as they are small and powerful. To charge it I am using a TP4056 board. This gives USB micro charging with over charging protection. This updated version has separate connections for the battery and the output which I believe means it protects against over discharge. You hook the battery to the B+/B- connections and the circuit to the OUT connections go out to the circuit. The original idea was to put the battery in the hengstler where it would be easy to remove. I didn't like the long power lines from the charger this would mean though. So based on the other design I have created a mount that fits in the end of the barrel. This has a slot for the board to slide into, which is then secured by an M3 screw which keeps things simple. A small hole next to the USB socket lets me see the status LED of the charging board. Still a bit loose. I need to adjust the design in a few places, this was a first test. Above the USB socket is a 2nd DPDT slide switch. This will allow me to completely disconnect the battery from the charging board for storage and transport. It does mean I'll have to remember to turn it on to charge the battery. The extra length is intended to be a place to mount the LiPo battery. I am not exactly sure how I will do this yet, maybe cable ties or some adhesive foam tape? I need it to have a small amount of movement as I don't want to crush the battery with a clamp. The 2 holes top and bottom are for neodymium magnets, 4x2mm at the moment. There will be a matching plate in the end cap that will have magnets in too to allow it to clip in place but still allow access to the charger and main power. I am yet to work out how I'll attach the inner section as I would like to avoid glue to allow access to the battery when needed. Grub screws may be an option if they can be hidden but I'm not sure the wall is thick enough. Other than the last few parts I am almost ready for paint. I'm hoping to try go to Halfords and get some matt black and Appliance white soon now that shops are opening up again. All parts are sanded to 320 which should be good enough for the colour coat. My primer is quite coarse so if I've missed any spots I'll need to go back after the first coats and fix those.

  29. I must say, Daniel from Hellhounds does an excellent job on these blasters. The craftsmanship is excellent and well worth the wait. Thank you, @Hellhounds for a great E-11!!!! P.S. If there is a problem with the Hengstler position, that is my fault. It broke off in shipping and I reattached it - not Daniel's fault.

Only 2 small suggestions right now (and you may just have not reached that point yet) but the hand guards and wrist openings could use a little "Dremel love". As per the CRLs for Level 3, all return edges need to be removed from the "hump" at the wrist opening. EASY! Keep it up, sir!

Ross (RWA) and Paul (TROOPERMASTER) , both from UK, also take on commission too, if you want an option beside RS. Look them up in Facebook and ask. Here on the forum we have some wonderful build threads on both of them too, just head to the ANH build section and see for yourself. Good luck and have fun.
