  3. THT And if I can make a few suggestions to go along with that you could consider open up the eyes a bit and extend the paint on the frown for some added ANH-magic EDIT: perhaps also open up the teeth some more and the lines are just a rough guide and even though they go all the way I did not mean for the paint to go all the way - just on the teeth

  5. Correct screws are in place and drying. Thanks again, @TheSwede, for your help on that! I think all that I have left to do on this helmet to be Centurion -ready is paint the hovi tips white.

  6. Yep, AM kit myself. If you are having to wrestle anything, just do a hot water bath. Before bath: After bath

  8. No way I could get mine to follow the ridge and still be able to troop. This was mine below. If I didn't angle it out (thus not following the shin line) AND pad the front of the shin to further push it out, I could not march. Note that I did trim the top part. Save this step for last, you really want to be able to kit up and walk around comfortably first before adding in the sniper plate.

  9. Weighing the drop boxes down by inserting something inside is brilliant. Thanks for the tip! :-D Keep it up, Linz! That sniper knee is a pain in the rear. *Please* don't just take my word on this, since I don't have an AM, but to me it does look like your knee has a return edge that was trimmed off in those AM Centurion photos.

  12. You're right, I'm pretty sure those are indeed panheads. I wish I had known this before I went out and put panheads on my TD. Haha! But this is exactly why I've got the build thread. I guess I'm headed to the hardware store for #6 slotted flatheads, today.

  13. I got he same canned response on the FOTK kits, but was told also that the TLJ helmets are delayed again so hopefully it is true. That being said they gave themselves the rest of the year to get them out........

  14. I might be mistaken but that looks like a pan head, Anovos usually has that on the bottom screw so I would double-check, if indeed a pan head it work great for the TD

  18. Hi again David and thank you for your EIB application! In this review I will ensure that your armor follows the requriments set out in the CRL L2 Expert Infantry Badge and also point out what I can to prepare you for Centurion, should you choose to apply. I hope you do! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and we are very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for ANH Stunt Expert Infantry. On behalf of the entire D.O.Team, Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. As we navigate through this review we are going to start with the helmet and work our way down. We start with the left ear and though there are exceptions, for the majority of the Stunt-helmets the ears were assambled with an angle to them as seen by the ref pic. If you can repositioning the ear without damaging the helmet we suggest you do so for a bit of extra ANH magic. We keep focus on the ears and although they are very flush with zero gap we suggest you give them a light shave as they seem a tad thicker than screen used ones. Just something to consider. Looking at the tube stripes and comparing with screen helmets the front stripe should have a bit of a lean forward. Just another one of those small details to look into and it´s a fairly easy fix by adding a stripe with a slight lean to it. We drop down to the thighs and a small dressing issue to keep in mind the next time you are beeing called into action is to even out the gaps as best as possible. The posterior plate seem to be getting ready to ride up over the kidney plate so we suggest you shorten the strapping and that should do the trick in keeping that loose canon in check. Another small dressing issue and easy fix is to raise the right shin to even out the black showing and to double check the closure on the left one before boarding the Tantive IV. That was the last of this EIB Review so we move on to: Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustment etc. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Below you will find areas that will need to be adressed for a future succesfull Centurion Application. We start with the Shoulders and as per L3 CRL there should be a minimal gap between the shoulder armor and the chest and back plates. Suggested ways to acheive this would be to tightening the strapping, remove more of the lower return edge on the shoulder bells or it could be as simple as the way you have your arms. Next we have the ab buttons and the CRL states: no separate buttons are allowed so we need those changed for Centurion. We move on the the sides and as per CRL, ideally there´s no gap between the ab and kidney and by the looks of things a simple strapping adjustment will sort this right out. And that´s it! Again congratulations - head on out and serve proudly as the Empire´s newest Expert Infantry man

  19. Pretty sure its generally just some grey guttering down pipe, so 68mm which is 2.68". edit: @philas you appear to be in the UK just pop to B&Q/wickes etc and gray a length of the 68mm down pipe. It's about a fiver for 2.5m.

  20. I've been looking for those as well. I think there isn't any around, but keep up the search! For now, the armor kits should be good.

  21. I contacted support about the First Order Kits and received this response. Ryan: Thank you for reaching out and waiting! As per the last update, the FOTK kits will be finally shipping in waves starting in march and continue throughout the rest of the year. We here in customer service do not have access to nor are given any customer order lists though our fulfillment team will send them out in the order we got the orders in. Furthermore the teams will update you via email when they are headed to our warehouse and when they are shipping. I asked about the date March 19th. Ryan: The website was never updated since our last update a month ago sorry to say.

  29. Hi again Miguel and sorry for the delay so let´s not drag it out any longer! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present and first we like to thank you for making the changes suggested in your EIB application and for your patience during this one. On behalf of the D.O team I'd like to welcome you to rank of Centurion - Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this area we discuss any areas still needing some improvement. Apart from what´s already been mentioned in this thread we have nothing more to add. Head on out and make the Empire proud

  30. Some notes for whenever the INC review happens: Only left dropbox is present on model but this appears to be for the lightsaber when attached to belt. I would argue that unless one is wearing a lightsaber on the belt, both drop boxes should be present. ABS belt should not cover the ab buttons I am not sure how specific we typically get around colour, but I believe that describing the unit markings as dark red is better. Pauldron looks to be more red to orange-red. Ammo pouch on chest plate should be worn vertically, not angled. Almost all of the recent TKC changes are applicable here, which is great as that means that the language has been settled.

  31. That is the plan but there are some outstanding CRL updates still to be completed so we don't want to start too many projects before these are done

  35. Congratulations to Jason / TK-16142 / “DeathTrap”, the winner of this contest! You had the command staff’s favorite design. In addition to mucho kudos, you will also be getting two free patches, a Kylo Ren bobblehead and a TLJ baseball cap. We’ll be reaching out for somewhere to ship these to. Thank you to everyone for entering and donating your time and talents! We hope to have this patch run for you soon.
