Thanks a bunch!! Mark, I appreciate the suggestion! And I almost did that when I first built the biceps as I saw you suggest it to someone else too, but I'm glad I tried it this way first. When I'm holding a blaster two-handed and one arm is bent, they get pretty tight around the top of the bent arm. I'm not sure I want to make them any smaller as I stand and walk like that a lot.2 points

Diversity Props is continuing to refine their molds and it sounds like they may be in the home stretch to get that completed.1 point

Whatever is easiest. Not everyone has a vise or some ability to clamp down the cap while cutting. Leaving it on the tube accomplishes that1 point

Oh yeah, sorry Tino, I should have noticed that too. Your builds are like pages out sacred texts. Never leave home without them!.1 point

When building my first set of power cylinders, I had also worked with Andy's great document. It simply is the best resource out there. But hey, the photos in that binder on top look familiar to me - did you really print the steps from my first build to refer to? Wow, I am out of words, man.1 point

Very clean submission and good job on the armor. Keeping fingers crossed for you.1 point

Aw, yiss. Time to start Fire Team Slanted Shoulders... Re: snap plates, I have not yet had to re-place them, but I'm also kind of terrified of doing anything even moderately irreversible on my kits, so I stuck (ha!) with E6000.1 point

Jesse, you nailed the scope paint job. I own a few real ones and must say that your scope paint is spot on. The lighting really shows that subtle sheen. Your hard work and attention to detail continues to pay off. Got popcorn ready for the power cylinders. With Andy's awesome research I am sure your cylinders will be epic.1 point

It's just so *visible*. And iconic. Percentage left to do? I have no clue. 20? Maybe less. It seems like it could all fall into place quickly, or I could discover so much more I didn't even know would need to be done. It'll definitely be a bit before I can go EIB and Centurion because I have to fiddle with my E-11, but basic approval shouldn't be tooooo far off. I think others would agree that maybe, just maybe, we like you anyway, Frank. SO helpful to see your torso strapping. Thank you!! I have mild scoliosis, like you, and I'm a bit generally concerned about the top - hanging even, not hurting, etc. I just need to see how heavy it ends up being. But if you say the normal strapping has worked fine, I'll just stick with that for now and modify down the road if need be. Sketching in snap plate attachment points now! Did you guys have to re-place your snap plates ever? I'm thinking I can just use ca glue to attach them and save much time and angst about them sliding around but of course e6000 is removable...1 point

Great job!!!!! the only thing I see is you should narrow down the biceps, to be movie accurate trim off completely the raised edges were abs strip is glued on and reglue strip, the biceps are made a bit bigger to fit the average person, if you look closely at the original movie biceps they had no raised edges like the forearms, thighs and calves. Finally! My scope is done!!! Oh boy, it's something else to have it all completed and painted as well. The small lens installation was finicky. I stuck it to the ends of the lens spacer with electrical tape and placed it in the small lens housing. With room to boot in the housing, I filled in the extra space with some pieces of a red rubber band and glued everything with E-6000. As for the reticle lens, I used green stuff following Tinos example. Using crayon to highlight the scope text was very fun to do! Patience and perseverance paid off!1 point

The gaskets are wrong on the arms. Theres a huge bicept gap sticking out. The gasket should attach all around. May just need a seam let out, or entirely new gasket. I doubt this was ever approved competently. Vote to avoid.1 point

For eBay, it looks pretty impressive. I agree I think it's one of Jimmi's older kits- so it's more likely than not fiberglass, and therefore heavy. His new ones are fiberglass, too, but they have been lightened. There is a significant cracking/break in the shoulder/back/yoke area, which would concern me. I personally don't think it fits the model that great (biceps are way too big and awkward). Those gaskets look suspect. For the price, I'd go with someone here, someone definitely vetted. And you would know 100% what you're getting, vs. gambling with your hard-earned credits.1 point
