  1. So you've decided you want to be an Original Trilogy Stormtrooper. Congratulations and welcome! But did you know that there are four main types of TKs from the Original Trilogy? We have New Hope - Hero, New Hope - Stunt, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Can't tell the difference between all that white armor? Don't worry- here's a spreadsheet of all the similarities and differences between them! Now all you have to decide is which version you like best. Details for Basic Approval, Expert Infantryman, and Centurion are all included. Original Trilogy TKs - What's the Difference? If you have any questions or would like further clarification, please feel free to contact me. Whitearmor is also here to help, so ask early and often! Interested in First Order Stormtroopers? See this post for differences between FOTKs, including Captain Phasma

  4. Some feedback for adjustments: Your right shin closes incorrectly. The strip with velcro should close right over left for the right shin. Your left shin closure strip appears to go over onto the ridge, unlike the right shin. This needs to be cut down, assuming I'm interpreting what I see in this photo correctly. Your right bicep is rotating. Do you have a strap from shoulder bell to bicep? Your shoulder bells are sitting at different levels. This is probably just a strap adjustment. From the back view, your thighs look like they are sitting at different levels as well. Another dressing adjustment, most likely. Your brow trim is arching, more TD-style. I would suggest ensuring that this sits nice and straight across. Your butt plate is flaring out at the sides. Would recommend a hot water bath to bring this in. Your drop boxes are not staying aligned with the edges of teh ABS belt. Though this is a Centurion requirement, it's pretty easy to just add some glue/velcro to keep these in place. Lots of small fixes but they will help improve your overall look!

  9. I'll have to look for longer lengths! I made the mistake of buying the same kind ukswrath bought without thinking about the plastic belt thing. It's nice though; no sagging or anything.

  10. Hi Stuart, Nearly there. Could you please post clear photos of your sniper knee from left, right and front. We can't quite see the alignment from the images provided so far. Also, to complete the EIB photo check list (EIB Checklist), could we please have the following photos: Left side - arms down Right side - arms down Holster attachment (showing fixings to canvas belt) Neck seal Boots (all angles) Thigh ammo pack - left side, right side, internal fixings Many thanks in advance, Dan

  11. Hi again, I find myself jumping back to the scope build. I've hollowed out more off the edge of the larger end of the scope body. This to better accommodate the monocular large lens housing. The dremeling was very focused this time around with identifying the cut extents with my sharpie =) Thanks again for dropping by! Sent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk

  16. Hey Adi I haven't trimmed my kidney yet, and it's looking like I might not have to. I'm going to put my strapping in so everything can really hang how it's going to hang, and then decide. Are you absolutely sure you need to trim your kidney? A good bit of length can be made up for visually by bending the back plate's shoulder tabs downwards (by water bath) and the butt plate's lower tab upwards to curve under you better (if space allows). Just my two cents. ... Or wait, just my two Yen - my apologies for the delayed reply, as I'm in Japan for a few weeks hopping about, feeling close kinship with every Star-Wars-merch-wearer I see. I am appropriately labeled in our galactic alphabet in case one of these domestic Japanese flights should land us in another galaxy, worry not. Be back in a bit, and keep an eye on the Emperor for me 'til then y'all.

  17. There could be two possible CRL's, animated and movie style, each would follow the screen references so both would be accurate in their own right.

  20. I tried the hot water bath treatment on the butt and kidney plate and bent them in a bit. It was tricky as they were both far too large to fully submerge in the large pot I was using. I ended up taking some rope and tying it around the pieces, pulling it tight to hold the pieces bent inwards. I dipped one end in at a time. I had some success with it, they're curved in a bit more than before. The butt plate might need to go a little bit further maybe. Before After It's progress, at any rate. In other news, I got an email from RS Propmasters, they tried to ship my missing helmet pieces but apparently the package came back with a "return to sender" sticker on it. It was shipped to the same address as the last one, so no idea what that's all about. Looks like my helmet will be delayed further. I did get a lot of other pieces like an undersuit, neck seal, holster, cloth belt, and gloves. I've got boots on order... Still need to order snaps, rivets, rivet installer tool thingy, and elastic. And I think I need to learn how to sew. Oh and a blaster. I'll be needing one of those at some point. This is not a cheap hobby!

  26. Boots are ordered. Other soft goods have all arrived. Still waiting for my armour. My blaster is 90% - It's all painted and weathered. I just need to make and install the clear glass for the counter, and I have to install a new selector switch (actual Sterling one arrives Monday), as my father in law snapped mine off, forcing the issue on installing a functional one LOL. I'll post pics soon.

  35. Hey FISD! It feels like it's only been a couple of weeks since I set up my account here, but in fact it's been pretty much a whole year. I'm all cleared now and working towards EIB and Centurion right now. Had my first official troop today and what can I say - it was just straight amazing To see that all the effort (and money) I put into this project has paid off was an awesome experience for me, and meeting @T-Jay in person who supported me massively during my E-11 build was great fun as well. Now I'm looking forward to my next event already, and merch is on the way as well Thanks for reading, Freddy (TK-19511)

  36. I have used a couple of neck seals and I can definitely recommend Geeky Pink's seal by quite a bit. Teresa is a pleasure to work with and her craftsmanship is amazing. Definitely a high quality product and a fair price to boot.

  37. Definitely hope you do a tutorial on the electronics if you get a chance. Really want to learn more about the voltage regulator and were you sourced it. Electronics is still a foreign language to me. For the chromed parts, did the finish rub off at all? Impressed how nice they came out. I did a can spray on mine and it looked great but then it dulled with time and contact. Really love all the pics too, super blaster build.
