Hi again, folks. I’m Dan. Proud member of the 501st UK Garrison. Thoroughly looking forward to May for the London Comic Con event. This’ll be my biggest event to date. Love the FISD, 501st and UKG community due to the many lovely people I’ve encountered so far. Here’s a coupe of my favourite pics of me in my RWA kit. Best wishes, Dan5 points

Ooo. Me too. I’m Greg. I’m a fairly new member of the Badlands Garrison in Canada. I have my first big troop in a couple of weeks (and it is on my bday!). I’ve been a member of FISD since last summer and have loved every minute of it. I’m working on a sandtrooper build right now but here are some of my fav pics of my TK armour from AP. Good idea Dan! I’ll play! [emoji4] I’m Wayne, TK32945, from Leeds UK. I wear RWA armour and was cleared at the beginning of this week. I’m looking forward to getting out trooping and meeting other members and STILL can’t believe I’m actually a Stormtrooper! [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Did this for my friend's TK build. Gap was not as big but I jsut stuck some spare ABS pieces inside the ridge and fill with paste. Worked pretty well!3 points

Can we keep this thread about getting merch out to those who’ve already ordered it. Further sales of merch will happen in due course.2 points

Is there any way you could post some photos of the problem areas, Jon? Even if the pieces are just held together temporarily with tape it would give a better visual so that we can better assist you. If you don't have one already, I would highly suggest getting a imgur (imgur.com) account. You can edit and post photos really easily (and free)! If you have any trouble trying to post them here, just PM me.2 points

The goal is to get this CRL complete as it's never been done before. I've asked Ingrid Moon (LadyInWhite) and Misty Melillo to lead this. Along with Teresa, Jana, Molly and several others, this is what they have so far. Yes, this is the TFA as the base and I'll make changes based on what they have posted in their GoogleDoc as updates, but wanted to get the base post started. NOTES: 1. This first post will always be the master list. Any agreed upon changes will be reflected here. 2. I will cite any change, e.g. [TFAL2] as something that is copied from the TFA L2, or [Ingrid] as an Ingrid change. 3. Goal is to have this 100% complete by the end of the year. Alrighty, so, let's get the party started. // Helmet *The helmet is mirror reflective and shall not be weathered. *Lenses are smoky brown or gray in color. They may be bubble in shape or flat and must be sufficiently dark enough to obscure the costumer's eyes. *The frown is solid black and covered in black hexagonal mesh that extends to the tears. *There are three slight grooves that circumvents the helmet above the brow, which is the same color as the helmet. *There is a slight groove that circumvents the helmet along the bottom and over the chin. *The bottom of the helmet flares slightly outward and is horizontal and flat on the bottom. *A “Mohawk”-like ridge is raised along the center of the helmet from the brow to the bottom back. *Parallel to either side of the raised ridge are three slight grooves; the third groove may cut back toward the trap. L2 *Grooves in helmet are not black or otherwise colored in. Neck Seal * Black with horizontal ribs, fitted to the wearer, and extending from the base of the neck to conceal the entire neck. L2 *Neckseal has a bib on front and back. *Neckseal shall have 11 ribs. Chest Armor *Chest is mirror reflective and shall not be weathered. *The chest plate overlaps the abdominal plate. *The “cut-out” in the center-top of the chest plate is recessed and black on the side and upward facing edges. *A small clasp greeblie shall be present on each side of the chest, just inside a small indented area the size of the greeblie. *There is a groove running vertical on each lateral side of the chest that angles toward the center. *Six recessed black ovals are on the wearer's right side, left of the greeblie. L3 *Channel on sides of chest should show clear separation. Back/Yoke *Yoke is mirror reflective and shall not be weathered. *The back plate contains a "O II" design. *The back/yoke is one seamless piece. *The yoke portion extends over the wearer's shoulders and curves under the armpits. Thermal Detonator* The thermal detonator mounting plate is mirror reflective, unweathered, and sits under the back plate and rests above the belt.* The control panel is black.* The right-hand recessed end cape is black.* The left-hand end cap extends from the detonator assembly and is black all around the cylinder as well as the end surface. A silver stripe is present around the end of the cylinder that extends slightly onto the circular surface.* There should be no visible seams. L2 *Small section of black around the base of the left extended end cap shall be present. Shoulder Gaskets *Gaskets shall be rubber or a shiny black material with ridges. *The shoulder gaskets must cover all exposed areas under the shoulder bell, between the bicep and chest, and between bicep and back. L3 *Gaskets shall be made of rubber. Fabric gaskets are not acceptable. Shoulder Bells *One on each shoulder. *Bells are mirror reflective and shall not be weathered. *The shoulders are considered effectively symmetrical. They may be worn interchangeably on the left and right shoulders. *Shoulders have small round extension at the top under the bell itself that butts up against the yoke. The two sides of the belt are symmetrical. Undersuit *An undergarment must be worn such that the space between the thighs and the belt shows a black material. The black material may be shiny or matte. *The reference photo shows the type used on screen but is not required for basic approval. L3 *The shorts area of the undersuit should be shiny. Thighs *Thighs are mirror reflective and shall not be weathered. *There are seams on the inside and outside of each thigh. *A clip greeblie is present high and across the outside seams of each thigh. *The wearer's right thigh includes a base for a weapon holster. Hi everyone, There’s been quite a bit of action on the forum of late, some of which has been of a more serious nature (elections etc.). So, with that in mind, I wanted to start a light-hearted thread where we can all say “hi”, share something about ourselves and share some pics if we want, allow new members to see what long standing members are about, and generally just get some good vibes going. With May just around the corner, a busy month in the Star Wars universe, there’s no better time to remember why we all dress up as white plastic spacemen. So, if you want to say “hi” and share a picture of yourself, (perhaps your favourite pic or moment as a TK), feel free to speak up. :-) I’ll start there ball rolling in post #2 Best wishes, Dan1 point

### UPDATE 03/02/2018 - for any new readers, (spoiler alert), this blaster is now complete. There is a link to my ‘highlights’ video below; Happy reading. ——————————— Hi all, Excitedly received news today that my DoopyDoos E-11 kit has been dispatched. Ordered on July 28th so under a month. The team kept me up to date and advised that the moulds they had were past their best - as such, these new moulds will hopefully lead to a crisp and detailed moulding. I've had T-Jay's completion kit for a couple of weeks now and look forward to starting my build. I've seen some outstanding builds posted on here but will be going a little more straight forward for my first build. I still want to create a lovely looking blaster but not sure mine will be quite as fancy as some. :-) Might not be starting straight away as I am in the middle of my armour build (below): Can't wait to start. All the best, Dan :-)1 point

Thanks! I noticed that as well, after I had already glued it of course haha, but then I realized there doesn’t seem to be much room available to cut it down to size without removing some of the buttons themselves or at least having the edge be flush against the buttons. I’m not sure if this is unique to AP armor? I’ll have to check some other AP threads to see what others have done.1 point

Me neither but I don`t care much for the promo trooper (such a silly gun for a Stromtrooper) maybe it`s made to look like Han in disguize with his rebel gun....ah well....just recived word that my canteen is in the mail, super-fast by m4vrick (Vincent) at MEPD Gonna look great on the field pack Also ordered the pouches from blaster 8266 (also MEPD) the other day, always a step behind1 point

Nice progress Just noticed that you smaller ab button plate is a tad to big, it should look something like this with no return edge.1 point
-
Hey Dave - nice looking RS suit and as others have stated basic approval is a slam-dunk And I think you are right to fix the ab buttons and shoulders, althoug the general public would never notice it looks so much better I do have a question about the shims, do you even need them?1 point

Great thread and build, i have a helmet on order that i am thinking about making into a Sandy display helmet, might just be generic as i dont have the patience to go as far as your going. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.1 point

If you could post some photos of the various parts of the helmet, Chris, we can help a bit better. We can then show you the areas that need to be trimmed using imgur. (Example below in red).1 point

Thankyou for the further follow up, and clarification on the shims. I'm focusing on basic approval so I can actually join some local troops, but I do now intend on addressing the button paint & shoulders as well either way. I know, I AM over thinking the buttons but now that it's been pointed out, that's all I'll constantly remember. I'm concerned about movement constraint with shoulders pressed up against chest.... I'm a reasonable candidate for "too short for a storm trooper" and the constraint on my ability to move much physically such as... run (no way), jog (not really), crouch (great difficulty), lunge (difficulty), sit (no way and will crack butt plate) is already an issue. I'm still learning to "walk" with armour on as at the moment it looks like I basically walk with a pole shoved up my behind as I over compensate for the armour size constraints.. My next practice run will be at the local miniature railway for maybe 4 hours or so - I'm a volunteer there but no chance I'll be driving a miniature train or riding one on the day1 point

The answer is indeed zero. A lot of innocent people died but none of them were actually witches. But since Harbinger is extended staff, he doesn't get to play. So email me your address and I'll send you his patch.1 point

Tonight’s work. Here is another composite of my helmet and the original. I put tape on according to the measurements I did with the marked tape. I realized that the original appears to have extra plastic trimmed from the bottom- good news for my big Mellon. Made some marks and trimmed Adjust the locations of the bottom screws. I might shave a bit more off in the centre part of the brow but I’m pretty happy with how it is looking. I had to shape the sides a little so the brow ran parallel with the top and bottom of the traps. Compared with my TK bucket. Oh yeah. This came in the mail a couple of days ago. Thanks m4vrick (Vincent)!! The TKs are probably going “what the...”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Seen quite a few applicants use ABS paste here. As Frank said it's perfectly fine.1 point

Thanks I’ll have to give that a try with the rest of my drilling. I have been using a soldering iron to make the holes in my strapping and sear the cut ends to prevent fraying. As for the belt snaps, I found a $25 snap press tool at Hobby Lobby that works with Line 24 snaps. I’m thinking I can use it to place the snaps instead of the anvil because I agree with you, it would be an awkward angle! If it doesn’t work I might use your glued strapping method and/or industrial Velcro.1 point

Hengstler Counter Update Dennis Blue Snaggletooth Hengstler Parts Damn, what have I gotten myself into this time... Always start with the easy stuff! Starts to look like something! Recreated the Coil in Adobe Illustrator Printed and cut out. Looks good, but not real enough! Sanded some plexiglass. And voila! Looks much more realistic in my opinion. Pretty happy with the result! But then Dennis told me this window and side wall were all wrong... Back to scratch then... Coil side 2.0 Thank you Dennis Blue Snaggletooth for all the parts, information and reference pictures! I'll try to update sooner on the further progress of my build! Until next time! Kevin1 point

Time for another update! It has been a while, but I have used all my free time for building and forgot to write updates! Started working on the Front Sight Carefully cutting with a small hacksaw. Glad this part was over! It took me about an hour! Added the Pin and Knurling Pattern. Bolts from the folding stock - BEFORE Bolts from the folding stock - AFTER Reinforced the End Cap Placed the D-Ring on the End Cap Star Wars Identities finally in Belgium! Can hardly wait! Hi David, What a beautiful set of armour! RS really do make amazing kits, and you’ve done a really good job with it. Personally, I think you’re a shoe-in for a quick clearance. Should you want to take it further after your basic clearance, you could probably make some very minor changes to take it an extra step. You could shorten the shoulder bell straps to bring those bells closer to the shoulder bridges. Your painted ab buttons are possibly a tiny bit small (yes, I’m clutching at straws here as you’ve done such a good job!!). These are easy changes should you wish to make them, and it looks like Expert Infantry is well within reach after you're cleared. If you wanted to go for Centurion down the line, you’d just need to look at making those shims seamless. :-) As I mentioned, great job!! Can’t see any obvious clearance concerns. Bet of luck with clearance. Dan1 point

Okie dokie well Spring Break came and went and I was on a hell of a roll. Would have been done guranteed! But... my TRamp mini scope display took a crap.[emoji21] had it all installed glued in the scope and then tested it and nothing. I about cried , worked fine before install. So I mailed it back to dude and maybe he can fix it? If not I will be buying another... blamming it on my 3.7 lipo. It was puffy and putting out over 4 volts now that I diagnosed it... but who knows. I will be trying a lithium ion next.. i sincerely hop it still fits in my magazine otherwise im screwed! So up until then I etching primered, 1 silver coat, 2 flat black coats and then weathered with light sanding. Wasnt getting that chipped look I wanted with the sanding just a bunch o lines, you can still see them. Then did a couple coats of Hammered black. Tried sand weathering again to no avail. Hit it with a light coat of hammered and then used silver run n buff to achieve that silver undertone. Can get carried away with the rub n buff, amazing stuff! For the scope I did a coat of gold and then flat black and hammered. Sanding didnt work so I ordered antique gold rub n buff. Just finished hitting it with that and i'm happy!! Flat black on the grip and half of the counter box. So my goal for the gun was to match the weathering on the real folding stock... I think I hit it pretty good and so happy I dont hate it lol the hammer finish dries heck fast and hecka hard. Still has a lil bit more of a shine than I wanted but we will see... Im sure there was a better technique for weathering than the sanding which I will now look into after the fact lol Now to wait for the battery and new Mini scope and figure out the holder and charger for it... soo close! Trying to think of a name for my sweetie... Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk1 point

In Memoriam Detachment Leader Executive Officer CRL Updates Pre Approval Forum Costume Totals Hall of Fame Just For Laughs In Focus In The Media Notable Troops Trooping Opportunities Imperial Attaché Program EIB & Centurion: What do these terms mean? Advanced Tactics Awards EIB - The March To 1000 Merchandise Public Relations Follow FISD Not one of our shinny troopers but still a brother in arms, MEPD Police Officer TD83314 Art Liu passed away at the end of March 2018. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and members of the 50st Taiwan Garrison Buckets Off Hi everyone, Well, it’s been a busy month for sure, hasn’t it? There are two important things going on that I wanted to address directly in this newsletter: CRLs and merchadise. CRLs Late last year we created an updated a bunch of CRLs: Rogue One (new), TFA (update), TLJ (new), TLJ-E (new), and Rebels (new). That took up a bunch of time and this year I wanted to streamline things a bit as we still have a lot to do in the pipe. I’ve created monthly “CRL Update Request” threads that people can post suggestions for changes that we can review. The March thread is here The April thread is here We know that the TLJ Phasma is still not done. Unfortunately this is due to a lack of photos and we are working with Misty on getting those complete. It will have renewed emphasis, along with the EU TK’s getting some past due attention. The FN-2187 CRL text is done as well, but we are still waiting on photos and hope to have them soon. Did you know we also updated the ANH Hero CRL model? I won’t give away the details in this email, but do suggest you go check it out and congratulate that trooper on a job very well done! We keep the LMO’s informed of all the changes, and they are now sending out a monthly summary of all CRL updates to your GMLs. You can ask them for a copy, or else ask them to put a reminder on their calendar to copy it to your garrison boards when they come out. Merch It’s hard to bat 1000 forever. After 10+ years consisting of hundreds of successful merchandise runs, and thousands of satisfied customers, a run went a little sideways, and boy did it. The FISD silver coin run was supposed to be a masterpiece for the Detachment and ended up being anything but that. It started with problems with the vendor (who is now being sued), which caused a series of related problems that ended with the coins NOT going out as originally planned. While FISD staff was trying to sort that out, things just exploded on a Facebook group and totally caught us by surprise. Unfortunately, we were left dealing with that distraction instead of focusing on ensuring we communicated clear information directly to our members here at FISD. The staff has been working very hard to address these concerns as we never want you, the FISD membership, to have to go through this again. On behalf of myself and all of my staff, I offer up our sincerest apologies and a renewed commitment to make this right not just for the short term, but long term. FISD has a solid track record of delivering, and we will continue to make this right for you. Where are things now? 1. Wyatt has posted his own apology on FISD and also re-affirmed that he will refund any items for a full refund. 2. Wyatt has started shipping out all the Phasma coins that were ordered. 3. Wyatt has also started shipping out all the patch orders that are outstanding. Needless to say, we’ll not be working on any new items for the short term until we have had a chance to review the proposed changes to how merch is handled Legion-wide and implement best practices as formal policy. Thank you all for your patience and understanding though this trying time. Please do reach out to us anytime with any questions or concerns you may still have. With unquestioned loyalty, With Unquestioned Loyalty Paul Hoeffer TK8020 “Daetrin” FISD Detachment Leader Hello all. I would like to add L2 and L3 to 2 different CRLs and it will take me off of my comfort zone that I'm used to. I can do an ANH or ESB with one hand behind my back, but, the FOTK, not too much. So I will need help for the Phasma CRL. I'm doing some research, but, my eye is not trained enough. I know we have some amazing Phasma in the FISD and I will get in touch with some of you to see if you can give me a hand on it. Same thing with the Legacy Era Female TK. The only thing I know about this costume, it comes from a comic book and a statuette. I would like to improve and hopefully make an L2 and L3 on it. Any takers? * ANH Hero CRL Model - updated! Congrats to Gareth TK-31225 on a job well done in getting us a more accurate model to work from. The FISD is pleased to announce the addition of a new area in the Advanced Tactics forum dedicated to those ready to submit for basic 501st TK approval. This section will allow future Troopers the opportunity to submit photos of their completed build to be reviewed by the Staff, Imperial Attaches and others in preparation for forwarding it to their GML for approval. Any and all advice/suggestions given will be specific, constructive, helpful and respectful. Please note that this program will NOT take the place of your local GML, as Detachments are not chartered for costume approval and can not override a GMLs decision, but is instead a peer review program designed to help you look your best and offer guidance and positive feedback. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about your completed armor, weapons (if applicable), accessories, etc. and get accurate information from the experts here at the FISD.. the definitive home of TKs worldwide. This was the first live demonstration of interactive, real-time, ray-tracing with Unreal Engine. Nvidia announced RTX, a real-time ray-tracing solution designed for their latest Volta GPU architecture. We were treated to a live stage demo using Unreal Engine, Nvidia RTX, and ILMxLAB’s Star Wars assets. Aside from some slight connection problems (the image was being streamed from a PC to the iPad on stage), this was a stunning demonstration, and seemed to be far less noisy than the Northlight footage from Remedy. Tony Tamasi, Senior Vice President of Content and Technology at Nvidia explained some of the technology behind the scenes, describing ray-tracing as “the holy grail” of rendering that solves many of the fundamental problems of traditional rasterization. Despite the fact that this demo was running on a supercomputer (an Nvidia DGX Station running four Volta GPUs connected with NVLink), Tamasi thinks the technology is not too far away from reaching consumers. “We are at the crux of real-time ray-tracing being a practical reality right now, he said. “I expect you’re going to see games shipping with real-time ray-tracing this year.” Want Your Troop to be Included? At certain times of the year this embargo is lifted, generally around Blu-Ray / movie releases, May 4th and Force Friday, the recent correspondence from LFL outlines the lift of the embargo dates to be between May 1st and May 31st. As always there are strict rules, speak to your Garrison Commanding Officer, Squad Leader or if you have one Garrison Events Coordinator before organising any event. *REMEMBER* Always follow your garrison/squad's guidelines when in comes to organising Disney/LFL promotional troops, only command staff can deal direct with LFL. http://i.imgur.com/REASe78.jpg Serve proudly, gentlemen, and as Tim (Dark CMF) says: "Keep doing what it is that got you here"! Are you an approved TK that spends more time on the boards than the average Trooper? Do you enjoy using your knowledge to help out future and existing Troopers? If so, we would like to invite you to join the Imperial Attaché program! Members of the I.A. team are chosen to help out not only those here on the boards, but on a local level as well. Our aim is to have at least one in each and every Garrison, Squad and Outpost in the entire legion to be the eyes and ears of the FISD on a local level. A suggested level of EIB or above is preferred, as part of the duties include assisting those aiming for levels 2 and 3, but is not a requirement. Being active on the boards on a regular basis , welcoming new members and helping out where you can is, though. Some of the benefits: 1. Access to exclusive Attaché merch., including patches, etc. 2. Having the Imperial Attaché title under your name. 3. Being a part of the team that welcomes new and prospective members of the FISD. 4. Being the "go-to" person in your Garrison, Squad or Outpost. 5. Exclusive access to the Attaché HQ area, Imperial Propaganda Machine (newsletter) and merchandise discussions. We are currently in need of Attaches in many units, especially International Garrisons/Squads and Outposts. For more information on this program, please head here and if you should have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at any time. (justjoseph63) For a complete list of Imperial Attaches, go here Attaché Patch Becoming an attaché also gives you the ability from time to time to purchase specific merchandise not offered to the general membership, one such item is the limited attaché patch, sales thread here (sorry only Attaché's may order) Imperial Attaché Award for those attaché's who have gone above and beyond [minimum 1 year of service] So what exactly are EIB (Expert Infantry Badge) and Centurion levels? These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! It also works on giving a better look to the Legion as an entity, and you can bet others will take notice of your hard work. The 501st has a list of detailed requirements for Basic approval, (level 1), EIB, (level 2) and Centurion, (level 3) which can be found here in the Costume Reference Library, (CRL) http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL Here are a few of the questions people may be wondering about: 1. "I am a (tall/short/heavy/thin) Trooper. Can I still apply? Of course! These programs are open and encouraged for all sizes of TKs, as long as the costume is correct and meets the guidelines. There are many specific build tutorials to every option, as well as a vast network of fellow TKs on the FISD to help you out and offer suggestions. 2. "How much extra will I have to pay for extra items"? The cost is actually quite reasonable, considering the few extra supplies you will need, which are listed in the requirements area. While it may run you a little more to implement these additions to your costume, they will go a long way to improving accuracy. All needed items can be found for sale on this thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/16-ongoing-sales-project-orders/ While blasters are not required for basic approval, for EIB and Centurion levels they are, and may need upgrades (also listed in the CRL). 3. "I haven't even got my kit yet, is it too early to start planning"? Actually, aiming for Centurion is easiest to do right out of the box. 4. "I have my basic TK approval, can I still get in these programs"? In a word... absolutely! 5. "Are there any "perks" to this extra work and cost"? Besides knowing that you have a great looking set of armor, the 501st and FISD believes you should be deservedly recognized for your achievement(s), and allows you to wear the appropriate embroidered "rocker" badge of rank (available for a very minimum cost) on your shirt, helmet bag, etc., as well as rank decals to put on your armor bin. You will also have access to select "challenge coin" runs, receive (free) a cool certificate for your new rank, and have your title posted below your name in your FISD signature. Plus, once you reach these levels, you will have the extra knowledge to help out those who are looking to apply as well. 6. "Is it hard to apply, and what happens then"? After basic approval, all you do is make sure your armor is up to the standards set forth in the CRL, post a thread with the required photos in the appropriate area (see below), and wait a bit for the D.O.s (Deployment Officers) to address it. (Hint: Studying other people's threads before you submit can be a GREAT help). These are also listed on the main page of the FISD site. While waiting for approval, you will get some comments from others who will offer suggestions and constructive advice to help you out. If you should need any changes, the DOs will let you know, so you can adjust accordingly. Don't be dismayed if you do need changes... it's all for your benefit! After you are approved for EIB, then you can submit for Centurion. EIB https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/ Centurion https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ Note: You will see some suggestions in the existing submissions/approval requests that, while not actually part of the CRL, are highly suggested items, (for your benefit), such as "flat-head screw heads on the TD (thermal detonator) should be painted black" for Centurion, etc. Those small details all add up to closer screen accuracy. Just remember that the FISD is here to help you every step of the way with whatever other questions you may have, but if you can't seem to find what you are looking for in your research, just post the question, (or PM justjoseph63) and best of luck on your build! This area lists all those who have gone above and beyond basic approval toward screen accuracy. As many of you are aware, the FISD is currently in our March to 1000 program. Our goal is to reach the one thousand mark of Troopers who have earned their Expert Infantry Badge, and although we are well on our way to this goal and have just passed the 800 mark! The amount of approved submissions is increasing (over 80 this year alone) thanks to the dedication of those willing to go the "extra mile" toward screen accuracy. Here is a brief description of EIB as written by Paul (Daetrin), our founder: "Expert Infantryman status is not required for members of this detachment. It should be viewed as an optional set of requirements for those who wish to take the accuracy of their costumes to the next level, and be recognized accordingly. We're a costuming club - think of it as an award for costuming excellence and you get the picture. The requirements will not replace or supersede 501st standards, but only serve as an inspiration for the level of accuracy that can be achieved. The standards are meant to be high but achievable..." Besides the added pride you will have in your armor, those reaching this level can purchase exclusive EIB gear (patches, decals, coins etc.) and get a free certificate for your accomplishment. If you are interested or would like more information about the program head here that will help. So I had my first troop on 4/7. It was a 5k event in a neighboring town. I was so nervous I barely slept the night before. Got there early and met some of the Garrison people who were awesome. Original forecast was for snow and rain but all we got was some wind and cold. There were a few other TKs and a TD so I had some good company. After getting geared up, we went out and started walking around and found it amazing to see the magic happen from the other side. Usually I’m the one asking for a pic now it was me getting asked. Had some great interactions with kids and got a few hugs. Even the teens were all about getting pics. As for my armor it held up well. Nothing fell apart but my biceps were falling (fix in progress) and my shins turn (still working on that one). Had to do without the hearing assist after an hour cause the earbud cord kept falling out (still can’t find speakers that work in the helmet without feedback). About the same time the mic got lost so I took the helmet off and readjusted it only to lose it again (think it was the balaclava position). It’s crazy how a kid can run up to you and you don’t even see them, sight line will take getting use to but luckily I didn’t walk on any kids and the whole walking thing takes some getting used to. Also couldn’t get my gun out of the holster (not a deal breaker) just not used to moving with all that on. And of course I ended up with the groin/arm armor bites but not too bad. For a first troop I think it went very well. Next troop is this weekend, 2 weekends in a row! Hopefully the fixes will correct the issue. And lastly I ordered some scout armor for a second costume. Think I’m addicted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Got a bit of time last night after SVCC to do some more trimming work on the kit. I realized I'd left too much edge on the flat panel on the inside of the right forearm, so I trimmed that off and also trimmed the left bicep and forearm as well as both shoulder bells. It's been an interesting experience working on a kit I know I'll be repainting later. While I agonized over every little scuff and mark on my OTTK, I freely draw cut lines in black sharpie all over the FOTK. ------------ I will say that my experience with the KB kit so far has been in line with what I've read in other builds, in that the cut lines tend to be a bit ill defined, and the pulls are quite soft. The trapezoid bicep details, for example, are barely there. Also, the indent on the chest is very soft. I was going to try to make the cutout detail in the ABS rather than using the resin insert, but it being as soft as it is, I may not have a choice. Now that he's moved to a new shop with a bigger vacuumformer, perhaps the pulls are sharper. And maybe I'm just getting used to the ridiculousness of the sizing, but I will say that the arm pieces don't look *too* crazy to my eye. --------------- I'm definitely going to have to significantly resize the biceps, but I'm less worried about it now, especially since I remembered that the inside seam is filled, so I don't have to worry about the inside and outside seams being lined up. Lastly, I finally saw a FOTK in person at comic con! I think he was actually visiting from a neighboring garrison and I didn't actually talk to him, but I definitely creeped on him (well his suit anyway) a lot. So if this is you...sorry. ---------- Both Praetorian Guards are from my garrison, and I thought they looked amazing.1 point

Congratulation on the Kit! This was my first Blaster build. Good Idea with the screw solution for the folding stock. As an suggestion; you can add a little more detail to the Blaster master Kit when using most of the parts from the Kit T-Jay is offering. Just ask T-Jay to offer you a kit with the parts you need, than he can make you an offer. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28444-fs-completion-sets-for-e-11-resin-kits-with-worldwide-tracked-shipping-and-paypal/1 point

I think they're genric sound loops, but specifically generic if that make sence, for example during our last visit to Hollywood Studios, my daughter went running up to them and one of them said "woahh, slow down there youngling!" I wouldn't be surprised if most of the responces are controled within a glove remote and some are controled by a handler.1 point
