  1. Step on is complete! Armor and helmet kits have been ordered from RS Prop Masters. I am beyond excited about starting this build. Now on to buying: Boots Holster Under suit Gloves Blaster I also need to buy some more supplies for the build. I have secured a dremel from a friend, so I am good there. I have found a list on the forum of what supplies I should pick up...can't remember who posted it, but I will take stuff from there. My goal is to be totally built by next November so that I can be in our city's Christmas parade. So, when the BBB comes in, the pictures will begin! Can't wait! Sent from my LG-H873 using Tapatalk

  3. Hey buddy, Welcome to the FISD!! :-) I don’t think you’ll have enough excess on the Ali from Tino’s kit. However, it’s easily sourced from a diy shop. 2mm thick I believe. Jesse, (Dracotrooper) kindly provided some handy trigger guard diagrams. I’ll post a pic if I can steal it from my thread. (If not, page two on my FISD thread). And DD vs sterling You’re making solid progress. Looking forward to watching your build. :-) Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Request 501st status changes here. You must be an approved legion member with an official TKID to request higher forum access, or you can request TK higher access if you are an approved legion member with an approved TK version costume. NOTE: we (the site admins) will periodically check the list of people in this forums database against the list of 501st members as kept by the Legion COG. People will be added or dropped automatically, so it's a good idea to ensure that the email address you use for this board is the same you use in the Legion records. If you need your status adjusted in between database checks, please post here. UPDATE 05/04/2026 NOTE: You must include a link to your 501st record as per below, else your request will be ignored: With the recent legion website updates the link has changed. Please add both TKID and the User ID to your request, you can find this in the legion Holocron NEW INSTRUCTIONS There are 2 ways to find your membership profile: In the navigation bar post this link https://www.501st.com/member/85421/ and replace 85421 with your TKID then click enter OR Go to the Legion Forum https://www.501st.com/forum/index.php Then Holocron, (enter your legion forum username and password) https://www.501st.com/holocron/login?returnUrl=%2Fmember%2Flegacy MEMBER SEARCH on left side menu Enter your TKID (in this case 85421) CLICK MORE Copy the link in the navigation bar and paste into your request https://www.501st.com/member/85421/ (this will show your primary 501st costume) A.C. @NoVATie will then check the members costume list for TK costumes and update access accordingly **Please test your link when you post your request to make sure it goes to your legion profile page. We cannot use links for the Legion forum or Garrison pages.** Thanks to @gmrhodes13for pointing this out. Swapping your TKID into the link below no longer works http://501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=4733 Using the link below, replace 12345 with your TKID: https://www.501st.com/members/searchresults.php?searchfield=12345&criteria=tkid Paste that link with your status request post to have your FISD profile updated. Thanks to @revlimiter for pointing this out. 1. Go to https://www.501st.com/members/searchform.php 2. Input your TK number and "Search" 5. On the "Results" page click "More" to the right of your name 6. On this page that lists all of your costumes, copy the URL and paste it into this thread with your request.

  13. I agree with this wholeheartedly. I want their business to succeed. I honestly want them to be a successful business. I enjoy the idea of a company that can create some of the best consumer level armor kits and that will ship products with respectable timetables. I would like to believe Anovos still has the opportunity to do this but it seems to get harder and harder to hold onto that belief the longer the waits get. I run a business that produces and sells products to the consumer directly and their business strategy seems to be skewed by all means. They should be investing and completing a sellable prototype before they even take preorders. Not during the process of the design. They say the prototypes are completed but let’s be honest, they are not and only make matters worse when a problem arises. They should halt any new prototypes temporarily until they catch up to their previous ones but they don’t. Instead they are distracted with other new toys to make and only delay the products that were promised to the consumer. This is frustrating and it makes me even more mad because they are terrible liars and the whole industry knows it. At this point I’m ranting. I have not asked for a refund and will continue to wait but my goodness, when will this madness stop?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Great progress so far Tom! I'm one of those guys with the Doopydoos kit / Completion set as well. What an exciting journey you've embarked on. Glad to see Dan drop in even though he's finished his blaster. As for the trigger guard, my hope is the PDF Dan forwarded could provide you with some dimensions to work with, that is all. The shape and end can be made to how you want it. I can't speak from personal experience on the trigger group as I've not done the guard for my build yet. Your in good hands with Dan and Tino

  16. My belief is that innuendo, side accusations, complaints in other areas, etc. is not conducive to the mission of a detachment, which is to provide a place where all members can feel comfortable and that the boards are drama free. I would prefer that if there is a disagreement that it be discussed on the 501st only area so that we can hash it out openly, and everyone has a chance to weigh in and clear the air. I don’t know when thing changed, but these days so much 501st business – and this isn’t just FISD but other 501st forums too – seems to be done via PM, private FB group, etc. whereas in the past I had a lot less PMs/emails about Legion business. Life is too short to stay in a place of bitterness, resentment, and negativity.

  20. Cheers Dan! I've just heard back from Marc at the G, he's suggested taking some off the back of the trigger to give more space. Considering my very particular lack of skills, I might try that route first before resorting to the Alu one! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

  23. Well, as I headed to my basement this morning with grand ideas about what I was going to accomplish today, I was reminded the kids have a PA day. No school. Dang it. I did, however, make some decisions based on the helpful advice from Daniel and Randy. I'm pulling off the 15mm cover strips I glued on yesterday and going with 20mm front and back. I need the extra room. Uniformity and fit over canon. I'll see what I can get done today, if anything.

  24. Hi Daniel I'm going to try 20mm cover strips on the back. I might need to do that on the front too if the 20mm on the back doesn't make the armour big enough. The return edge on the elbow end of the forearms will have to go completely too.

  26. Woo-hoo! John is IN OUR HOUSE! If anyone has done their R1 and wants to go dirty - this is a once a blue moon opportunity. Man, if it were my younger days when I had all the cash in the world to blow on armor. Sigh, someone else will have to take up this torch. John - I'm updating the title so it's more clear what you are after.

  33. Thanks Christine, it was your build thread that made me think, perhaps I can do this, and I’m so glad I tried.... mine you both you and Frank and the guys on the UKG gave me so many tips on how to do things, and encouragement when I hit the inevitable brick walls, I really couldn’t have done it without you all.... thanks Haha... riding without a crash helmet on is illegal over here, might try it in the garden when it’s warmer In the mean time.... my impression of a biker scout..... I don’t think it will get clearance Have applied for EIB... so fingers crossed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  36. In between waiting for e6000 to dry I have made up a few additional costume extras. The DLT19 Is made of wood and plumbing parts as per happy troopers guide and the E11 is 3d printed for accuracy. The e11 is not 100% accurate but it’s the best that I can do as I am still learning about everything related to becoming a stormtrooper. http:// by -matthewwormleaton- http:// by -matthewwormleaton- it fits into the completed belt nicely

  37. Hi Freddy. Here is a good link for some reading. Essentially the conversation is always the same with TKarmour, TKUK, TKUS, Stormtroopercity which are all different names for the same company. Everyone says that David (owner) is a "nice guy" and the price is good. There are mixed reviews as to the quality of the armor. Some say it's okay and some say it's not that great. The ONE thing that has never been shown by David is where he obtained his molds from and pictures of his molds and sculpting process. If he has done none of the previously mentioned, then was he given permission to cast another set of armor which he has not stated he has. For those reasons he won't be a recommended vendor. It is likely he recasted another set of armor. This will be the case until he can show some type of proof that it isn't. I would stick to the armors mentioned in the first post.

  39. I HAVE DECIDED TO WITHDRAW MY APPLICATION FOR EIB STATUS BASED ON ETHICS. THE ACTIONS OF ANOTHER MEMBER WITHIN THIS GROUP, AND THOSE THAT SUPPORT THEM, HAVE DEEMED THE STATUS OF EIB - AND INDEED, CENTURION - WORTHLESS IN MY OPINION. IF YOU WANT TO ASK ABOUT IT, I'M HAPPY TO TALK ABOUT IT.
