  1. Please forgive me for not jumping in here sooner Paul, busy time of year for us. It was a genuine honour and pleasure to have you visit and troop with us in Edinburgh. You are the reason us guys in white have a place to play without all those other costumes getting in the way . Legend. You may be from another garrison but you are family to us, as is anyone who comes to play with us, even that Ryan fellow. He's good people. I'm touched by your kind words about how my guys welcomed you with open arms. I'm incredibly proud of each and every one of my troopers as they all strive to be the best they can and live up to the ethos of the legion. I hope that we will troop together again in the future my friend, my brother. Oh, and I'll get all the pics on to my google drive and share them with you as soon as I get a chance. Much respect and love from both Lynn and I. Bri
  2. Many congratulations Joseph. I know you'll lead us to great things. Also thanks to Sly for looking after us until you got here
  3. Yes it is my friend. Brian Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Tony. Unfortunately my little friends family have moved away so we don’t get to see her at events very often now. She has also outgrown her FO so is rocking a Dinky Darth at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks Andrew. It’s nice to be back among family and see what’s happening with everyone [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks Darren. I think that photo is my absolute favourite ever. Like you say it always raises a smile with everyone who sees it (even people that don’t like Star Wars!!!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks Q. Wish it still looked that good but after 18 months of trooping it's in need of some much needed TLC. Need to spend some time fixing up the paintwork. Never ending trooper troubles
  8. Hello there Sorry for being away for so long but so much going on and only so much time. SPOILER ALERT Managed to get this armour finished in time for the midnight premiere of TLJ but my clearance didn't come through until December 19th 2017. I was TLJ FOTK number 8 in the world. I will get the rest of the build thread completed as I have the full build over on the UKG. I was in so much of a rush to get the armour finished in time for the premiere that the online stuff kinda fell to the dark side. (the only way to go) Since then there has been a smelly filthy Jawa for my wife, the start of a Shoretrooper, many blasters and the beginning of a Clone now. I will try to get this build thread finished soon and get my online presence back up to where it was. See you all soon Bri ps. This is how I trooped the midnight premiere of TLJ with a young friend (with great taste in costumes) Untitled by brian.mcdavid, on Flickr
  9. This is really coming together now buddy. Looks great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hey Daniel I did cut my thighs but not in length. I had to resize my thighs so they were not rattling about on my legs. You can see from this image that I cut down the back and removed excess material before glueing in a strip of ABS then filling and sanding the outside before paint. 11. I'm right handed so blaster is in my right hand [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. This is another good reminder for everyone. I know I for one don't always take all the correct precautions when working on my armour even though I know I should. We all need to be safe to troop on our not blood covered armour Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I based mine on where the straps drop down from the harness I got from Teresa @ Geeky Pink Gaskets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
