  1. I want that suit. My ride is a silver '02 Triumph Sprint ST.
  2. Realize I used snaps and snap plates. It's been so long I don't recall, but ABS cement cures in an hour or so for light weight duty - I'd not touch it for 24 hours though for something weight bearing.
  3. I think you can pull it off too.
  4. Is this HIPS Or ABS? I ask in that i did the same thing (strap from thigh to bottom of ab plate) on my old FX kit and did the Rose Parade and a few downs of football and been OK. That was ABS and I used ABS cement. I do a garter now for HIPS though...
  5. Agreed - this is an easy pass. Heck, hit up for your EIB when you get your 501st TKID. I still have 30 gold coins sitting around.... ;-)
  6. Should be an easy pass, and you can then look forward to EI afterwards
  7. Yes! Still the best thighs that ever fit me and I'd love to buy another pair should one ever turn up.
  8. This was the backbone of the Legion circa 2005. Hard to believe - eh?
  9. For myself I only noticed the weight on my de-ac for the first 5 minutes or so. It's pretty balanced and perhaps being former military (though it was 15 years ago) it felt natural to me. Mine is not a true de-ac as it was based off an airsoft though still looks good (also, I did not pay 400GBP - more like 400USD). I'd like to see side by sides of a good de-ac vs. an MR in terms of accuracy though - I mean I can read through the text but it would be nice to see pix. Oh, and mine does have a folding stock and working charging handle, though not quite 100% as functional as it could be.
  10. Yup, either AP or ATA will be fine. There are variations between the two - but you can feel confident in going either way.
  11. Rather than getting custom lenses, perhaps they can be mounted behind the TK lenses. You'd have to craft a mount for them - perhaps just some putty or sculpty. Ideally the frames would be intact I think and you'd break off the side stems and then just create a mount for the nose bridge. I think the hard geometry part is that your glasses are designed to be close to your eyes, so maybe something spring loaded?
  12. Wow, only 8 to go. I wonder who will be the next troopers to push us over 200?
  13. Amazing! Very well done and a shining example of what can be achieved. Can't wait to see it on a trooper.
  14. They will when there is a solid track record of reliable quality and service. They are still pretty new.
  15. Looks all good to me. The straps are sthing to fix for Centurion ;-)
  16. Mathias is correct. Just needs to look good
  17. For submission pix, you should be fully in the format that you're trying to get, so for your all up pix we need to see the pouch gone on the belt and the addition of the holster.
  18. Here is CMANavy - all 6'4" and 260lbs in TE armor if you can believe it. Looks good to me. Here is his photobucket with more pix: http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a98/CMANavy/TD/ in fact, he looks better than some of the smaller troopers next to him.
  19. Thanks Ryan for the updated shots. I know these are small details, but it's in the details that Centurions are made and separate them from their brethren. Actually with two more Centurions we'll actually be at the point where 1% of the TK's in the Legion have this rank (a Centurion led a group of 100 mean, so with 2300 TK's that would be 23 Centurions). Congratulations on becoming Centurion #21. You are certainly in the top 1% of the Legion!
  20. Question - how firm/flappy should the holsters be? I have one of thick leather that is very rigid, but in the movies at times they seem to flap around more. Thoughts?
  21. Congrats Eric! I really like the look of RT on taller/bigger troopers - it just seems more natural that trying to squeeze in to TE type armor. You did a great job and should be proud
  22. It can be made to fit, but would take work. I think the largest fellow who ever got TE derived armor to work was Joe Kurley who at the time was up in Alaska. He was just a little taller/heavier (IIRC 6'3" 240lbs). While it *can* work, at his height/weight RT or AM are more compatable with that body size.
  23. Recast AM I believe. Fiberglass will be heavy - you can get better lids for less via sellers on this board.
