  1. Are you volunteering to lead the Almoner's Department Matt? Before we can be accused of negligence, one should have given staff the courtesy to be aware of the fault. It's not like there is an automated report generated by the Legion's computer that let's us know. In fact, could you not have let us know via PM and we could have created a memorial? Stephen - congrats on reaching the big tonne. Even more important is the number - some members fill up counts with me-to posts, but yours are filled with advice and help, embodying the spirit of Troopers Helping Troopers When FISD was smaller it was easier to spot the 1000 post members - they were few and far between - moving forward I'll talk to the staff to figure out how best to ensure we don't miss this significant milestone in a troopers history.
  2. LMK how that goes. I say that in some cases even the soft velcro can abrade plastic when rubbed with enough force.
  3. Oh - and I took the liberty of upgrading your membership - the blast doors are open and you'll see a whole bunch of new areas. Congrats in getting 501st!
  4. I haven't figured that out yet either, as on a sandy it makes no difference. I'm thinking that putting some white gaffers tape or similar may help, or else break from canon and put a little soft fabric (silk?) on the bottom rail of the pack frame.
  5. From the CRL (http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt) - you have a bit of modding to do. Luckily, there are tons of really good Hasbro mod threads. Some do the minimum, at least one person has done such a phenomenal job it's close to Centurion worthy. Folding stock (does not need to function). A real or replica ammo counter - based off of a Hengstler counter - shall be present. D-ring mounted on the rear. Correct style scope. Two power cylinders on the magazine housing. Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters shall have a total of 6 T-tracks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the magazine housing side uncovered). If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster and you cover all the rows of holes, the blaster will have 7 T-tracks total. But, if you want to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total) with the lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side, then you shall cover the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, and grind off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side and drill a new row of holes in its place. No ESB/ROTJ greeblies are allowed on the blaster.
  6. Looks good to me. If dashrazor isn't on soon, I'll make the call. FWIW, if you put the drop boxes & holster back on and remove the pack, pauldron, and pouches, you should submit for ANH Stunt EIB if you have an E-11 as well.
  7. I think you look great too and to echo an older reply by tkrestonva, attitude is a big part of being a successful HWT as it is for a sandtrooper. From first blush I think you'll make EI no problems, but I didn't do a formal review and can't see all the details, so those are my caveats.
  8. I think it's a pass too. If Mason is not back online soon I'll give the thumbs up but am hoping he gets Internet to make the call personally.
  9. +1 Pretty neat idea
  10. TE derived helmets are pretty much the same size and you can make them larger/smaller by how you build them. We once did a local comparo between an AP, a few TE2's, and an RT and the "largest" and "smallest" were both TE2, so... RT on average will be a little bigger than TE derived, but much again is how you build it. If RT is not big enough, you can go MRCE or ANHv2.
  11. I tried to hold off from posting but could not. Wow that is a thing of beauty!
  12. Wow! Almost looks like two different packs, but I'm thinking it's really one pack that was worn two different ways, e.g. the one on the right being correct/intended, and the second they just rigged it lower down in the strapping, and thus the hose looks different, and also that one of the bottles was falling off but perhaps they didn't care at that point.
  13. EDIT: what took you so long? ;-) Hi Luis - about how big is that side gap. It looks fine on the bottom but I think you're just squeaking in under the 1/2" max on the top Mason is out but I could find nothing that prevents you from your own EI.
  14. I don't know when Mason will return and don't want to keep you hanging. I approve this directly. Well done
  15. Looks good to me. Mason's Internet is down, but he should reply in the next few days.
  16. My Imperial credits, FWIW... RomFX is hands down the best sounding vox solution you can get. OTOH, they are expensive and you can have a good sounding vox for much less. In the end it depends, are you on a budget or want the best at any cost?
  17. The host does provide this data - just need to log in and get the reports is all. And yes, I can do this post-October to see the spike if you like.
  18. Looking awesome - well done
  19. If that's what the CRL states, that's what it states. You can use snaps or Chicago screws instead of rivets for the holster and then simply unsnap it when not in use. Or, use rivets on the outside for cosmetic purposes and then use snaps or even just velcro on the inside of the belt to affix the holster. The external rivets/snaps will be covered by the ammo pouch in any event.
  20. Good to hear! is starting to ask for extreme measures.
  21. Bad paint job != intentional paint job.
  22. You can try - I never have. What I have noticed on my two sets of TE2 is that I've worn out and replaced an ab plate, and there are cracks in the tubes of a few helmets. Also, I have some cracks at the return edges on the tops of the thighs. Other parts are holding up OK. It's true that my old ABS armor took far more abuse in stride than the HIPS, but with spare parts being cheap (thanks ATA!) so far the HIPS has proven just as cost effective given that it's cheaper to buy in the first place.
  23. I don't have any comparing a completed TM, but I used to with an RT & several TE2's. I'll see if I can dig it up. FWIW, there is more variation in how you assemble the helmet than in size between the TE derived helmets (99% true). The RT is a wee bit bigger but you can make a TE2 seem larger than an RT. If you really want size then you have to go for an MRCE or better yet MRCE Brian A. improved.
  24. :like:
  25. Success was due to a lot of hard work and attention to detail on your part. This thread started in June. It shows what a person can achieve when they set their mind to it. Well done
