  1. I'm sure I'll get smacked and the other LMO can redact or move to 501st only if this cannot be shared on the open board, but I felt it was exciting enough and the reasoning sound enough to share: Status - Approved
  2. Closing in on at leasting hitting the double ton. Only 19 EI left to go and we can at least do 200 by end of year. C'mon troops - Mason is bored. Give the man some work to do
  3. Another EI in Star - well done Kevin
  4. Luis - your suit is awesome and you do the Spanish Garrision proud. I can't wait to see you hit Centurion as well.
  5. Sorry for the delay - congrats Kyle!
  6. All the makers we have listed on the "where to buy" thread have proven themselves numerous times to be reliable, so there should be no issue there. If you do have an issue or question with a particular maker or prop seller, feel free to post and get opinions first hand.
  7. Agreed on all counts. In fact, the more you wear it at major cons, the more chance some SW artist will think it's cool and put you in an official source Great job on the build - can't wait to see it in person sometime.
  8. Learn something new every day. Man, I love FISD
  9. A good idea. The upgrades to the vac table produce amazing results, and holding my TE2 and my ATA ABS side by side they look very close in terms of detail.
  10. The stripes aren't painted -they're tape actually.
  11. It will happen for all with multiple EI's unless their profile pix is replace from a jpg with a gif. The reason is that it was presumed that for multiple IE winners the picture would be an animated gif that shows both costumes. You can list which ones don't have it and ask the IPM team to get on it
  12. Yup - if it's good enough for MEPD, it's good enough for us. The standards will allow any MEPD approved pack, as well as game-based packs.
  13. The pouches should match the same as used by sandtroopers, as we copied HWT accessories straight across from MEPD. The pack is a mandatory item, but we recognize that at times while trooping people ditch the pack, hence the note that they can wear it if the pack isn't worn.
  14. LOL - *you* are a priority. The Birthday Droid is, but of a lesser kind.
  15. I'd suggest just getting new ears from RT if feasible to do so. If you pushed for it, you can get EI without them but you'll run the risk that at some point the det wil vote to tighten up this detail and you'll just replace them down the line anyway.
  16. First off - happy birthday Mark!! Hope it was a good one As for the Birthday Droid, it's a bit like having to wait for dessert until you've eaten your dinner. The priorities for the staff are - before we add new items: 1) All CRL's complete on the Reception Center 2) All tutorials completed and updated on the Reception Center 3) Get new visual references created 4) Get EI page to pull from the database 5) Get Tips/tricks page on reception center to pull from the database 6) New member welcome PM Only once the items that are in progress are complete will we take on new items.
  17. Wow! That was fast. I like how it turned out. Would you say it was easier or harder than a TK to do the animated clone?
  18. I believe in the past we've not worried about the flat ear bumps for EI at least. I also understand that moving forward RT will only be providing ears with bumps. He did in the past, but it was only when requested.
  19. Kev's ANHv2.5 is larger, but not quite as accurate. There is also the MRCE if you can find one.
  20. Mike Appling (trooperbay) sells standard FISD t-shirts. There are no other runs planned for this year. As Legion merch, they are for sale in the 501st only area.
  21. Actually ANHv2 should be OK for EI, just not Centurion.
  22. That's certainly OK. If you want the HWT your choices are pretty much replica off the game or else we use the same standards as MEPD for packs. If you want something else entirely, then this is fine for informal events/troops, just like any other unapproved accessory like blue pauldrons, etc.
  23. Yeah, I was able to just buy shins. Replacement parts are always expensive though (aside from ATA). As for TE derived suits, it's really a personal preference as there are some differences between the suits. Anyone on the approved vendors list we have are reputable.
  24. You could actually get away with most any TE-derived suit, but be aware that the legs will be challenging and you may want to swap them out with RT parts. I'm 6'0" and use RT shins, for instance with both my TE2 and ATA suits. If you can find the old GF FX thighs...ahhhhh those would be even better for you.
  25. And she's still got a few surprises left in her FISD pushed over 200,000 posts as of today. If you look at other 501st forums you may visit, you'll realize that this is quite a lot. And the quality is there too... Yes, there are 17k posts in New Member Introducitons (we're friendly!) but there are also 18,000 posts in Hard Armor, 16,000 posts in Assembly, Mods, and Painting, 13,000 posts in ANH Stormtroopers alone. And suspiciously, 501 posts in The Foundry (prop making). I'd like to thank everyone who has ever made even a single post in helping create this fantastic community and the beset stormtrooper costuming resource that the Legion has ever seen. There is no way any single person could create the body of knowledge that is contained on this board, let alone keep it updated. Thanks everyone - time to kick back at "The Twi'lek's Delight" drinking hole on deck 42 and have a cold one of your choice.
