  1. I'd like to thank everyone who participated in this challenge. While we didn't hit 200 by the end of the year, we got awfully close (195) and are now at 196 - only four away! Nearly 1 of 10 Legion stormtroopers are EI. Can't wait to see what will be done in 2012!
  2. Excellent to see another AM EI. Who says it can't be done?
  3. The answer "why bother" springs to mind...
  4. IMHO, it's easily good enough for 501st acceptance. If you want EI or Centurion you'll need to invert the button plate. It's not a hard mod to do, and adds accuracy so as Steve suggests it's worth doing for it's own sake. I also think you did a great job with shimming the thighs
  5. With Vultren (also in my garrison)
  6. Looking really good. This is the culmination of an awful lot of work on your part and it will be worthily achieved when complete.
  7. Congratulations again Noel - you take the cake with this one. TIme to get out of garrison duty and go "escort" the Princess... Also, I know you've been working on this a loooong time and you deserve every kudo as you've pulled out the stops.
  8. It's still 2011 here in Seattle
  9. I'll try to get more pix in the next few days - the photog took a few dozen, but here's a first look. NOTE: this is the first time I've put this suit on out-of-the-box. Still need to make some adjustments on the strapping.
  10. 2012 is for certain going to be a good year with Pat back
  11. A TM is slightly larger than TE derived helmets prior to assembling. Not sure about the armor match though...
  12. Congrats Eric - great to see the first ever EI in Hawai'i, and a good looking RT as well
  13. Yes, she did. Looks better than the costumebase for sure.
  14. Great for a sticky! Good work gents
  15. I think both are a cotton type fabric. And yes, she did the pants as well. On a plus, she added pockets and stirrups to keep the pants from riding up. I had an IC that I wear with the pants out and sometimes add a rank bar. Still have the IC, but retired the IN part of it. This is my first ID.
  16. All, The ohter day I took my kids to see a gingerbread village display created by architects and chefs to help raise money for JDRF (Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation) (http://gingerbreadvillage.myevent.com/). They asked for a $5 donation per person. It reminded me that JDRF is the unofficial charity of choice here on FISD (as we can't have official ones), and we've raised money in the past for JDRF via coins, or when people want to donate money to FISD we point them to JDRF. Why JDRF you may ask? First as it's a wholly worthwhile charity that does much to help young kids with a horrible disease. Second and more personally, our first Deployment Officer Scott Magerfleish is a Type I diabetic and the first charity raising we did was JDRF. Diabetes runs in my family (my Gran was Type I, my Dad is Type II, guess where I'm headed...), and so I had a certain sympathy as well. In the sprirt of Christmas, and in the spirit of putting my money where my mouth is, I'm offering up a beautiful, complete MTK ESB helmet for auction. This is normally a $245 item if you buy direct from Mike. Photos of this beauty are here: http://s767.photobucket.com/albums/xx316/flyinghome/Items%20for%20Sale/ If you are interested, just reply with your bid amount. Highest bid after 2 weeks wins the helmet.
  17. Hi All, I submitted this ID for approval and am still awating word from my GML (guess I need to bribe her better!). Debbie did a super job on this and I'm please to show the results: Attention to detail is outstanding: And, to make it even better, there is a white jacket as well! All pix are at http://s767.photobucket.com/albums/xx316/flyinghome/Officer/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ24 I did a troop with it a fortnight ago and it was very comfortable to have a soft costume for a change. Thanks Debbie!
  18. 7 left. One a day (plus a bonus) and we'll be there. Almost...
  19. Congrats indeed! You've put Centurions over the top of 1%. Historically a Centurion was in charge of a century of Legion soldiers, meaning the top 1%. With you being Centurion #24, we are officially at this metric.
  20. Utter rubbish - send it to me for proper disposal. I'm green with envy - a beautiful suit!
  21. These are awesome guys! You have me wishing for snow this year
  22. Merry Christmas one and all. If it's not wrong for others to wish good tidings of their faith, its not wrong for me to do the same. Heck, at work we had Hindu celebrations, so why is Christmas bad?
  23. At times I forgot you had them. I think it would be helpful to explain what you feel this provides over the mold you already have. An interesting discussion, to be sure.
