  1. Another pass for the UKG! Glad the boots were an easy fix. Congrats on making Centurion!
  2. I think you are close - really darn close. Here are three things I noticed: 1) The elastic tie downs on the shoulder straps are too wide - they should only be a 1/8" or so - about the width of a shoe lace. Should be an easy fix. 2) The power pack on the right thigh should be rounded on the bottom - you can see this on the other EI request thread. Also should be a quick fix. 3) What may not be a quick fix is the shins. They almost look like they are on the wrong legs, and in either event it would be good to see how the shims are done so they are clean. The shims on the thighs look great - overall a nice and well done fitting it to your body. Lastly - I think I have the same wedding band. Reminds me to get my wife's name on there so it's clear who owns me. ;-)
  3. Outstanding Karin and an easy pass. You Nordic Garrison members are really going EI in a huge way. Centurion should be a breeze for you. Approved!
  4. Oh, and 2 is your lucky number. You are EI #202, and your date of EI is 20120212. Amazing!
  5. As Mason is out sick this weekend, I'm clearing this as one of my final acts as DL. Well done!
  6. It should be really straight forward. * Use TD decals on the helmet instead of TK * Ditch the shoulder bridges * Get a diamond sniper plate * No drop boxes/det on the back * For the ab plate, just don't add the button detail or you can cut it out like we did in the FX days Done!
  7. Seems an easy pass on the road to Centurion to me. Well done!!!
  8. I can't stop looking at mine. I ordered another to put up at work. Geez - these are truly works of art. Kudos all to Jesse & Tray
  9. Congrats Mike - you're the first of the new century of EI TK's in the Legion and it's only fitting that you're leading the way for your garrison. AP looks nice on you
  10. If you are applying for 501st membership, you need to have a holster affixed to your belt for your costume to be approved. Weapons are not required for 501st approval for any trooper costume, so yes it will be an empty holster. Once approved, you can remove it from your belt. You'll still see the rivets externally, but I suppose you could always just have snaps on the inside only and thus they are not visible on the outside of the belt. Or if you want to get really nutty, you can do have the snaps on the inside of the belt only and then just double sided tape on the outside of the belt to affix two or four rivet heads for cosmetic only purposes when you want them.
  11. If you are applying for 501st membership, EI or Centurion levels, then yes you need a holster. If you are attending a troop - that's between you, your GCO and the event coordinator. The holster is a required element for ANH/ESB/ROTJ troopers for 501st approval.
  12. Remember there is a difference between what was seen on screen vs. what was intended to be seen on screen. There are numerous wardrobe flubs and oversights of many costumes particuarly in ANH. How you troop at casual events is entirely up to you and the event coordinator. However if you're looking for 501st requirements that's another story, and they are spelled out in the CRL's.
  13. Looks great to me - just need the official word from Mason.
  14. Now that the 200 milestone has been marked, where do we go from here? There are 2300 TK's in the Legion but getting to 10% only means 30 more EI this year, which doesn't seem a big enough challenge to me. I know many troopers are just a mod or two away from Expert Infantryman, and with armor getting better and cheaper EI has never been easier. I'm going to issue a standing challenge to the Legion Stormtroopers to meet that 300 goal. Other detachments are gearing up for C6 - the Biker Scouts in particular are over 730 members, and their standards just went up big time to where the base CRL is pretty much near Lancer quality. Are we going to let a bunch of traffic cops beat us? Never! C'mon - you guys know you want to. How often can one say that they are immoralized as being part of the 300?
  15. It should be good. I have one and have had a series of comedic errors that are preventing the picture for hitting the CRL. Both game & regular versions are approvable.
  16. It will probably when we see some good RDSProp build threads and there is an good established history. Hearing things is hard to gauge - I've heard things too and not all positive. They are still pretty young - if you look at the list all have been in the biz for several years. SDS has so much bad stories I can't in good conscious recommend him as a vendor. Too many people screwed over the past few years... In the end, this thread is not meant to be a list of *every* armor maker - just those that over the years have a sterling reputation for quality and consistency of service. And, there is no guarantee that once on people will stay there - sometimes good makers go bad and have to be pulled.
  17. I think it looks awful and you need to send it to be for first-hand evaluation. ;-) You look great - congrats!!!
  18. Woo-hoo! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! Congrats on making #200 - you've completed the second century of FISD Expert Infantryman. Lord Vader is most pleased. :vader1:
  19. An incredible feat and we came really, really close to hitting this in calendar year 2011. Thank you to every trooper who worked even in the smallest way to make this happen. The Emperor is most pleased. And now, for 2012, perhaps hitting 10% of Legion TK's as EI? Or, go for the gold and hit 300?
  20. There are two points that need to be clarified and now's a good time to do so: 1) Blasters are never required elements for 501st acceptance, as various countries have tough laws. As the CRL is intended to be what you troop with, it has to be that way in the base CRL. 2) EIB & Centurion are optional levels. You don't have to troop that way - we're not the trooping police - and instead are meant to recognize achievements in costuming. You can just have the blaster on display in your house and only use it for photos if that's how your country works. E.g. you could convert a Hasbro in your house and never take it out. If even that is restrictive, perhaps it's possible to have a country exception list, but that would be for the membership to decide.
  21. And I agree with that as well. I count myself fortunate I was not one of the victims...
  22. Agreed - far easier than down the line. Looks great!
