  1. Yes. How would we not?
  2. Looking good! Are you at the point where your kids call costumed troopers by name. I was surprised that even at a young age, my kids can tell Clay, Dad, Brian, etc. apart in full armor.
  3. Yes, he is. I've been buying from him for years.
  4. Exactly. "What happens in the Officer's Lounge, stays in the Officer's Lounge." That is also why C7 is an unaccompanied tour...
  5. One word: Twi'leks That's all I'm saying!
  6. True that. It's strange when you get on average an email a minute. We'll ensure we clean up the party mess before you arrive. Have boring and uneventful flights.
  7. So, Steve, does that mean you can have your way with the forums 'till then. Yippee!! Let's the party get started!
  8. I really like Rob & the RT - will be great to see this come together.
  9. They were doing them at C6, maybe they will do them at C7?
  10. Also, others have put a plastic sheet on the left side of the belt to help prevent holster sag..., folding it in to the layers.
  11. So, does that mean you are volunteering to make a good tutorial with parts breakdown? ;-)
  12. After you drop your resin one and parts shatter, head on over to the SciFire boys and score a hyperfirm. I haven't tried THG's in person, so can't comment on them. But you can for sure throw our hyperfirm on the ground and not worry.
  13. Well, in ret con they have meaning. Back in '77 it was more like "OK, I need 2 oranges for this shot along with a black and 3 whites. No, move the other orange in front so it looks more striking". "What do they mean? Who cares, it's a sci fi flick." Funny that since then, movies really try to explain things more. Back then it was more "that looks cool, use it in a shot".
  14. Now that the cool boys have all checked in to the FISD Officer's Hot Tub, time to relax and pop a cold one. I'm expecting great things from this year gents!
  15. If either of you want the mini-mag, I'll sell it to you. Needs a little TLC though. Unless they change EI to allow the sandy packs, it's not worth me bothering about anymore and just taking up room in my closet.
  16. Still have my pack, pauldron, pouch, and even the min-mag launcher. I won't be able to go EI with you guys though, as it's not worth it to me to swap out my pack, and mine is my old TD pack.
  17. Well, the bar keeps moving. It's hard to hit a moving target, esp. when the base requirements keep going up
  18. Well, whoever said that was a silly rabbit. Detachments have zero say in how people troop, and never have. Heck, you don't even need to troop full EI or Centurion, or even keep your costume that way. Once you get your EI or Centurion they are one time award. Detachments are advisory boards that focus on costume research, helping new member, and building esprit de corp. It's up to you and your local GEC/event coordinator on how you troop. Anyone who says otherwise is misinformed.
  19. I'd suggest just creating another fire team if you had enough HWT's to troop with locally, and your current fire team wanted to stick to clean TK's only.
  20. And, even if elements are required for EI, etc. doesn't always mean you troop that way. Those packs get heavy, and even as a TD we'd sometimes ditch the pack and just E-11 it.
  21. TE2 is not currently doing runs, but that may or may not change in the near future. Any suits you find now are used. Ah, TE2 armor - definitely for the connoisseur. And yes, I admin my bias, having owned 2 of his suits.
  22. Agreed! I tried to find photos of TK B.I.G. but have not been successful. He ended up sculpting his own armor and got 501st accepted back in the day. Maybe someone will have more success in digging up those photos.
  23. There's a good thread in the Tips & HowTo's on how to do this with a soldering iron. But as noted, it's up to your preference.
