Many of us use an Aker amp with a head mic for normal trooping, some use a wireless system and I've not looked into the wireless mic's before. I use Aliexpress for a lot of electrical pieces and components and doing a quick search there are lots of small mic options, a clip on may be able to be used inside the mask, here is just one that may suit https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004100437731.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.31501cbfwq2RWB&algo_pvid=08524df2-24e2-4a08-8e24-77d0a6898944&aem_p4p_detail=202205171823471893055529452800008758301&algo_exp_id=08524df2-24e2-4a08-8e24-77d0a6898944-19&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000028031814301"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!AUD!!51.36!!!!!%40210318c216528370270075756e35dd!12000028031814301!sea Or something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001627067887.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.13b2530bBKjguk&algo_pvid=0d0668f8-3afe-410c-b381-ccba17f7276d&aem_p4p_detail=2022051718224845916712130840007656478&algo_exp_id=0d0668f8-3afe-410c-b381-ccba17f7276d-9&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000016875781629"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!AUD!!30.65!!!!!%400bb0623f16528369679364285e170b!12000016875781629!sea You could add a cheap amplifier to this setup so both could be heard through the same unit. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003931897869.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.289d2b481kxQWA&algo_pvid=671dda70-31bb-4627-a70d-5d176f17acb4&algo_exp_id=671dda70-31bb-4627-a70d-5d176f17acb4-23&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000027496740834"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!AUD!!6.92!!!!!%400bb0624316528374027788097e2789!12000027496740834!sea FYI I've moved this to Electronics for helmets-blasters area you may get more a response there

Flexible fiberglass would that be Jim's? The materials list was made prior to more recent costumes and the use of flexible fiberglass is somewhat recent and the initial list mainly covered original trilogy armor and makers but no reason it can't be added to the material list. Sorry to hear you have not had a good experience and have encountered issues. I've no idea what may be happening between a supplier and club officers and I've definitely not heard locally of anyone receiving freebies or discounts from suppliers but that's not to say it doesn't happen. As a GML for some years (about 8 from memory) I can tell you that every costume I review is unbiased and nobody gets a friendly pass, but again that's not to say it doesn't happen elsewhere. I would encourage you to message our Detachment Leader Andrew @Sly11 if you would like to talk about your issues in depth, I can't say whether he would be able to help or not but it is always helpful to know if there may be issues with a particular supplier. If you have issues with your GML and the approval of a costume again you could speak to Andrew or contact the LMO's (legion membership officers), I'm sure they would be able to assist, email for them is [email protected]. If you do have solid evidence of some impropriety with your garrison command you could reach out the the LCOG's (captain of the guards) and ask to remain anonymous to protect yourself from any reprisal, their email is [email protected]. I hope some of that information may be of help to you.

Tim’s first time build (RS Prop Masters ESB TK)
gmrhodes13 replied to TrickyT81's topic in ESB Build Threads
Here's a good reference of the "front fall/angle" from one helmet Just out of interest this is what it looks like swapping sides of the decals. Note no real change on one side but on the other the fall/angle increases Yet in this comparison of decals and helmet there does not appear to be much of a front fall/angle It's not as easy to change this fall/angle with ESB decals as they are one piece BUT with ANH being separate stripes you can tweak how you like. There are lots of other references with very little front fall/angle Sorry to hijack your thread -
Just a tip, although the press studs are accurate many find them difficult to use, I prefer snaps and double at that, I found one let go at an event and if not for the spare my trooping would have been done for the day. Another tip is to mount the press stud (or snaps) further to the front on the shoulder chest/backplate elastic it helps bring the shoulder bells inwards on the front when you move your arms

You just click on the 3 dots in the right corner of the page then click edit. Appears you do trim that line. John's @sillyfacebuild is an imperial surplus for reference

I must admit I've never listened to the whole file, only used it a few times in my pack. But yes I agree if you would like to share your edited file I'm sure many would be interested in a copy -
Great tutorial right there, nice work. For anyone following Humbrol paint does not like to go on thick, it can wrinkle when drying so two light coats are the best option, also letting the coats dry fully before applying a second coat. Not sure if you have a similar tape in your neck of the woods but stumbled across Frog Tape and my local hardware a few year back, this has a finer layer of adhesive and great for fine masking and less bleed, could be something to keep an eye out for.

Car looks awesome, best wishes for your recovery. Yes putting the weight on is the easy bit, getting it back off is another matter

They can be a bit of a problem to get just right. I normally test fit the chest/backplate and add the elastic between, then place the pieces over a box (or mannequin if I can be bothered getting it out of the shed), doing this is similar to what you have done with the coat hanger, the difference being it holds the pieces outwards so makes aligning the shoulder straps a little easier. Once I am happy with the position of the straps I add masking tape to the sides and the fronts so I know when I remove and add the glue they with be in the exact same spots. Take note occasionally a clamp can slip due to strain or pushing glue out from under the straps so it pays to check from time to time while drying

Yes the belt can sit differently when worn so better to do final fitting when you are wearing the hole armor

His friends have written an eulogy for him, as follows: It is with great regret that our dear friend Sebastien Veidt joined the Stars to become one of them. Also don't miss the 501st Legion's 25th anniversary panel, saturday 3pm - right before our detachment group photo at 4pm! We close on saturday evening with a swag trade event for all club members at the marriott ball room, 8pm. The many appearances of “Mr No Stripes”
gmrhodes13 replied to CableGuy's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
The Mr No Stripes conversation comes up from time to time, he did get around but then I guess most of the costumes did with only so many costumes on hand Here's an old thread from back in 2007 noting some of "Mr No Stripes" appearances https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12-armor-trivia/page/7/#comment-11158 Former DL Terrell RIP @SuperTrooper "I'm still surprised no one has tried it with Mr. No Stripes. He is in the movie, promo poster, action figure photo, and the original action figures had no stripes either." And "I understand bloopers don't count, but Mr. No Stripes was not a background trooper, had quite a bit of screen time in multiple scenes, and was used in a promo poster. As a rule of thumb, promo posters tend to be perfect." Here's another thread on "Mr No Stripes" to consider for basic approval from 2008 https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/2664-mr-no-stripes-and-basic-standards/ -
I normally cut my large tab down on the back to the same size as the other tabs, you don't really notice any difference in appearance of the tabs. A couple of references Some references from Josph NOTE: As seen in the photos below, there are no large tabs on the rear of the shoulder bridges. This is not specifically mentioned in the CRL, but removing them is highly recommended if possible.
