  1. Pretty much has all the info you would need As for ABS well.color may be an issue, I have found RD a little off whiye compared to other makers, you may need to check around with ant local ABS plastic suppliers, I found a few here but they were very white.
  2. There's never too many questions This is S trim, goes around the bottom of the helmet This is U trim, goes under the brow on the helmet
  3. I've had a look through and I've never seen these files before, they could have been added to the forum pre my signing up, from there on anyone that references templates are the Zeroroom ones, no mention of the ones in your links. Even going through the template areas I still can't find anything, could mean the original thread had broken links and was moved to archive sections. Funny when you hover over your link it shows only 115 downloads so couldn't have been used very much. There was also another site BBC which unfortunately is no longer available http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/, this was started before I joined, had lots of blueprints and templates so they may have come from there. Web archive link: https://web.archive.org/web/20080228020330/http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/ Blueprint area: https://web.archive.org/web/20120905200812/http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/community/viewforum.php?f=3 https://web.archive.org/web/20100113215907/http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/community/viewforum.php?f=9 I'm pretty sure the "best templates" was completed, there is a link in the first post, I used those for my first build but that was some time ago and my memory is not as sharp as it used to be.

  5. I have no return on the sides only on the top of the butt plate and top and bottom of the kidney, this image may show a little more detail Also note if you find once you have strapped and your kidney or but plate flares out you can add V tabs on the ends to hold them in alignment. With a heat gun you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. I do mine just like Joseph and like him prefer the double snap method, always great to have a spare snap if one lets go, nothing worse than not being able to troop because of a snap failure
  6. Just to make sure as you have some overlapped pieces in your images, the shins need to be but joined as you have your thighs, you may be aware but just in case it doesn't hurt to mention foe those following the build Also thumb print bicep is worn on the left and swoop of side ridges on the sides of the shoulder bells points forward Front
  7. Looking forward to seeing the progress of your build
  8. Can't say I've seen those specific versions but my go to has been There are multiple pages as well as some zip files on a few pages
  9. Lenses info added to first post: Green Rogue One TK lenses to fit the Nico Henderson helmet Mr Paul's Shoretrooper Build https://www.facebook.com/totalgrunt
  10. This is just too good not to share, added to this months newsletter, well done Robert, amazing work ----------

  13. Using heat does take some practice, I use different pieces of wood, some curved some flat, when you heat an area you can use a piece of wood either side to hold it and move it around to keep the plastic from deforming. Having thin arms I had to add a few pieces of foam to the insides to help keep them in position, not the biceps, once you have strapping attached they all sit nicely and don't move around. I also did heat the round forearm and carefully applied some pressure to help make it a little more oval, ATA's are pretty large and I wanted to have them appear roughly the same. You also don't need a return edge on your thighs. Just in case you haven't seen this thread
  14. Depending on the paint I normally add a thicker final coat of clear, auto acrylic is good for this, helps settle some of the orange peal. Does look very nice though, well done, almost there
  15. Trooperbay has a headliner on his site, may not be exactly the same https://trooperbay.com/hard-hat-liner-for-helmets I tried a head liner once and found it too too rigid, I much prefer just a maple leaf of foam for the top and a could of thick pieces either side of the temple Trooperbay has those also but looks a bit thick to me, mine on the top is only 10mm thick https://trooperbay.com/yellow-foam-helmet-liner-and-straps
  16. Not on this forum, the images are not showing, it's been this way with Google for some time, only the person who posts the images can see them This is what I see
  17. Hello and welcome aboard, here is a great thread full of info which may be useful Looking forward to seeing those BBB photos, here's a great thread on adding images from online image host Imgur Good luck with the build

  19. No requirements there. Unfortunately you can't post Google images into the forums, most use Imgur or Flickr
  20. You are better off having your photos in your thread, many won't follow your link elsewhere, plus it's hard to go back and forth to provide any feedback to your references

  22. There are definitely different shades of white with makers ABS but as I have found there can also be different shades from one maker depending on what the factory has supplied. You may be best using any ABS plastic you can, with the seam with ABS paste and then paint/color match what you have, not ideal but a few have had to do that in the past. Perhaps if you could post a photo of your armor it would give people a better idea of the shade of plastic you have, still won't be a perfect way to match up but at least it may help.
  23. Great find Mike, thank you for sharing, I'll add this to our next newsletter. Also ran across your video on youtube, very intense intro
