Hydaggar requesting pre approval (ATA Works)
gmrhodes13 replied to Hydaggar's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Nice work, a couple of tweaks you could look at Try to have your shoulder bells with the same gaps, your left has a gap. Kidney appears to be sticking outwards on sides, adding a tab system can help A couple of threads on side sticking out Here's another using magnets Shoulder tabs could be central on rear. You could adjust your armor for rear photo, pull in your shoulder bells Can see one shoulder bell elastic strap on left but the right appears to have popped above your bicep. You may also want to add a little more foam inside your helmet, it is sitting on top of your shoulders and will make turning your head a little difficult Gap on kidney to ab is a little large, check with your GML in regards to approval, some like to see very little gap and it's a higher levels requirement. Some helpful threads https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29077-adding-the-kidney-shim-not-bad-but/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30226-side-shims-on-abkidney-help/ Brow trim ends a little long Paint rivets white on your thigh ammo strip. Cut off excess belt, normally belt stops under or on the end of the detonator . Note: your chestplate has come up and slipped behind ab plate. You have a lot of gap between the ridges on your armor (shins) between the ridges and coverstrips, again this is something to speak with your GML about, some don't like big gaps, some it isn't an issue. You could also bend your plastic belt section to curve your ab, notice the ends are sticking outwards and will catch on your arms. Also even out gaps between your forearms and biceps, no gap on your right side but a gap on left side. Thighs could come up a touch, will allow better gap and movement at knees A tad too much paint on your teeth, should not be on the gums: Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. Shoulder strap not quite held down on front. Black line around ear bumps is a little thick and rounded As I say a few tweaks and you should be fine, but definitely check with your GML on some of the items mentioned -
A few other tweaks: Your butt plate is sticking backwards and overlapping the kidney, I came up with these V brackets which can help: With a heat gun (or oven) you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate. Ideally there should be no gap between the kidney and ab plates but you will be ok for basic approval. Boots have the front seam which should be ok for basic approval, would need to swap these out for higher level approval. You could also drop your thigs just a touch, this will reduce the large gap at the knees Drop boxes should align with the ends of the plastic belt section, keep an eye on this when kitted up, a full length mirror helps Backplate is overlapping the kidney, you may be able to bring the backplate up a little, depending on how much room you have around your neck/shoulders Also watch the rotation of your biceps and forearms, Note bicep coverstrips should face to the front Just a few tweaks and you should be good to go, good luck

You will find one forearm is more rounded and the other oval, foam will definitely help. For a very small member I ended up using a heat gun, warming on both sides then applied some pressure to make the round forearm a little more oval, using a heat gun though takes a lot of practice perhaps the same could be achieved with a hot water bath. I still have two small pieces of foam in my forearms too, just to help stop any rotation, having the correct strapping in the right place can also help, which is mounted on the top of the forearms, many add it to the bottom

ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
gmrhodes13 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
UPDATE 9th July 2022 It's been nearly 5 weeks now and no further response since 28th June 2022, sent another email yesterday and the reply was: "We normally send return labels through UPS. I am working on a way to create one for you through AU Post. I will let you know when I have something." I'm starting to get the Anovos vibes, another 3 weeks and you can't work out shipping return from another country, why not let me send through Australia Post and reimburse me for the shipping. Hopefully next update it will be on it's way back on the way to them, HOPEFULLY -
Nice work, definitely a little more off the large ab plate

Hello and welcome aboard, good luck with the research -
A 2" rectangle block of foam either side of your head will help keep the helmet in place.

Requesting Pre-Approval ANH Stunt TK AuthenticProps
gmrhodes13 replied to techdesco's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Looking good, just need a few tweaks to make you look the part. You are just nudging over the correct size for an AP kit, a lot of people over 6" go for either an AM or RT-Mod kit as they are made for the bigger/taller trooper. Saying that you could reduce some of your gaps, I would bring your biceps up a little as they would pop out from under your shoulder bells when moving your arms. Then space your forearms with equal gaps at elbows and wrists. Your thigs are very low, your right one appears to be touching your shin, I would bring these up and reduce the black showing. Shoulder bells could come in more at the front, adding snaps further forward on the elastic helps the shoulder bells to pull inwards when moving the arms reducing the gaps. Note your drop boxes are not aligned with the ends of the plastic belt in some images You could remove the excess material from your belt, normally they stop under or just at the end of your detonator. Shoulder straps could be bent down so they sit flush, can't see if you have elastic loops there or not. Your bicep has come out from under your shoulder bell on the left rear. Try to bring your backplate down to reduce the gap between it and your kidney plate. Gaps in the lower ridge of the thighs could be filled with ABS paste or Sugru https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/51767-how-to-fill-thigh-ridge-gaps/ Right rear shin not quite closed, normally a heat bath (or heat gun for the experienced) can be used to help them sit flusher. You may also want to just knock off the corners of your coverstrips as they look quite sharp and you may get armor bits. Gaps on TD look a little small You could also add a little white paint to the rim of your Hovi's As I say just a few tweaks, also some of the items mentioned are for higher levels. Good luck with approval -
Nice work

Very neat in there, I think that's the first time I've seen 4 fans, I normally add 2 and only use one at a time.

The TLJ CRL's are going through some updates currently, some things may change at basic or added for higher level. Here are just a few common items. Some of the details with TLJ Cod Forearms inside, also grey screw on TLJ Detonator The TFA TDS were solid resin and weighed 1.5kgs. For TLJ they completely redesigned the TD, cut-out the apertures and created a lightweight insert. TLJ blaster has a picatinny rail. There are a few more items with the blasters which may or not be added like the endcap, D ring, color, cocking lever either not there or on other side, you can see more research in this thread End cap D ring Rear sight Black standard trooper White heavy weapons trooper site is white TLJ and TROS Neck seal zip at front Another reference front facing zip TROS Armor overlaps and is curved on biceps And of course helmet, clips/recesses and teeth/nose area Tube stripes open

ANH Stunt, Rubber Gloves and the Heat of Summer
gmrhodes13 replied to Zinfer's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
10 years of trooping I've only had one pair of rubber gloves rip, not sure about how others have fared. Just make sure the inner front ridges of your forearms are sanded and polished smooth -
ANH Stunt, Rubber Gloves and the Heat of Summer
gmrhodes13 replied to Zinfer's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
I use cotton inner gloves, they soak up the sweat and stop your fingers pruning, I use a couple of pairs through a troop, nice not to have to put soggy ones back on after a break. Some use Nomex gloves and not the rubber gloves. From the DO: The Nomex type of gloves are 100% acceptable for Basic approval. but not for Expert Infantry and above, -
I have heard you can loose quite a bit of weight in the first week or two then this can start reducing, at first you are burning off the easy to get rid off fat. But in saying that it doesn't hurt to speak with your doctor, just to be on the safe side
