Hello and welcome, you will find this thread very helpful Good luck with the research and hope to see a build thread from you soon

FYI just noticed you don't appear to have Stormtrooper access you can request it here

Very nice, was great to see the stock extended in the show, a goosebump moment. I flick mine out from time to time, younglings get a kick out of it as they see a lot of weapons these days in films that use stocks.

Looking for TK Armor Parts Maker/Vendor
gmrhodes13 replied to TK-9510's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I think you will find many makers will sell separate pieces (or have when I've requested) I would however try to purchase from the original maker of the armor as there can be quite a lot of difference in color from make to make. In saying that 17 years and your armor may have discolored a little so matching pieces may be a little difficult StormtrooperStoreUS armor looks to be FX or recast, name comes up a few times in the Where, What and Whom to Avoid Thread. You can find a full list of Vetted Sellers here, doesn't hurt to reach out and enquire -
Looking good

Connection strips (Abs Plastic)
gmrhodes13 replied to Dave0095's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
This doesn't really fit under forum help & support so it's being moved to Assembly, Mods, and Painting You have to be careful purchasing ABS sheets from anyone other than the original supplier as there can be some large differences in color, I would suggest speaking with the armor supplier to see if they can help, other than that I would suggest to reach out to your local garrison to see if anyone has offcuts or try a plastic supplier near you. Taking a look through some Centurion RS threads will give you a better idea of what they provide and their commission builds have been approved in the past Here's just a couple The DO's (deployment officers) have spoken to RS about a few details and they weren't interested in making any changes to FISD's standards, they build it their way or not at all

I'm not sure when AM reworked the FX armor, a lot of info would be prior to this forum being created in 2007, here are a few other threads in regards to FX and AM From 2010 Hey Ryan, "The true crime with FX armor is the oversized helmet. If you are able to buy an FX armor kit currently, then it is probably someone who has recast it since the original maker has redone the moulds and called the latest version AM (Armor Master) armor." 2010 "I would suggest if you are looking for inexpensive armor, FX armor, ATA armor, there is also a new armor out there, AM which stands for Armor Master and is the next generation of FX armor." 2010 "Armor Master - or AM armor for short - is widely known as a major update to the FX armor commonly used throughout the 501st Legion. The makers have created new molds for practically every piece of armor, culminating in a very complete and fairly easy to build TK, TD, or TX costume. The armor is fan sculpted and thus has no screen lineage to any of the movie suits. While some may view this as a negative, the AM kit is very sturdy and recognizable as a Stormtrooper, making it a great choice for trooping." 2014 Armor Master armor availability 2014 NE-AM armor Armor family tree

Hello and welcome to the forum, for stormtrooper research you can't go past this thread Good luck with the research and hope to see a build thread from you soon

Hello and welcome aboard, with joining the 501st your costume must reach basic standards, these are known as the CRL's (costume reference library) make sure you reference these when you are building https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL There are also FISD's higher level approvals, EIB and Centurion, you will see these in the CRL's as blue and red font, easier to build to the top level from the start. Good luck with the research, hope to see a build from you soon.

That image is on page two of this thread was an early release by Disney, here is the partner to that image, notice the overlap of the thighs on the cods, one nearly hitting the belt. In the previous image the thigh is covering the drop box.
