  1. Hey folks! Well I just got notification that my BBB has flown its way halfway round the world from Walt’s Trooper Factory to Sydney, now it has a quick 300km road trip south and we’re off! I have spend the time since ordering, preparing and accumulating bits and pieces, my boots from imperial boots are here, a little on the snug side, but I’m working on that... bucket electronics from ukswraith are on their way, belt and neck seal from trooperbay. I think I’m on the right track. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this build, it has been a long time coming. It’s a real bucket list thing for me as I’m sure it is for many of us! Anyway, pics will come when it all starts happening! And thanks in advance for all your assistance! Cheers Sam Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Hey troopers, I think we all know that this very forum is a hot bed of experienced troopers and helpful information. Years of experience and TK knowledge. To that end, here are some of the key features, (sometimes subtle, sometimes obvious), that I feel really make an iconic ANH Stunt Stormtrooper, all in a simple, easy to digest video. Topics include; -brow height -eye trimming -ear trimming -vocoder painting styles -hovi tips ...and more Enjoy the video, and please feel to ask any questions or comment. :-)

  6. Hi everyone, I am a 5'6" 20 almost 21 year old male. Been a die hard fan of Star Wars my whole life and after long enough I've been wanting to apart of Star Wars like the 501st. But I have no clue where to start when it comes to making my costume. Granted I am a college student so I don't have much extra money. The build is going to take some time but eventually I want to be able to dawn the costume and participate in all the 501st does. Obviously I'm going to choose the original bad guy, the storm trooper. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start or how to formulate a plan on how to build my costume? Thank you

  9. Hello All, I'm a new Academy Cadet with Garrison Carida (East/Central PA) and I'm looking to put together an Incinerator Trooper. This will be my first foray into costumes. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! I'd like to aim for Centurion level right out of the gate as I'll be the first in my Garrison to attempt this costume. I do not have access to a 3-D printer or sowing machine so I imagine most (if not all) will have to be bought. Any leads on where to get a bucket or flamethrower? I'd like to start with those to help keep me motivated while I piece together the rest. I'm researching boots from CrowProps, gloves from Endor Finders and the undercut from DarkSide Closet. In the meantime I'll keep searching the FISD for info TIA!

  15. Thanks Mario and Brian. Many thanks, that is what I indeed hoped for. And after these years your MUJI box made it onto that helmet and soon into my collection. Closer to the finish line but the aim is to put the maximum possible additions / alterations onto a single helmet, so yes, there is still something more to come...

  17. Most do, they also confuse Area 51 (which is in Nevada) and Roswell. It is an ... interesting place to live I guess.

  26. I would definitely change the type of snap you are using on the belt. I too found them insufficient if there was more than a slight amount of pressure applied across them. I changed mine to the same type you see in Glens post above and they have never been a problem in the last 6 years.

  27. So today the final internal cover strip for the thigh is done cooking. Installed the loop in the right thigh as I don't have enough magnets to do both. I also am attempting to correct the misaligned outer cover strip for the right shin. Although it doesn't leave me but a sliver of room for a velcro strip at the bottom. Ordered some Line 20 snaps last night. I'm not sure what is wrong with the button snaps but they're just plain not holding the belt on. I don't know enough about how these snaps work, but it's just not a firm snap so looking at replacing both with something a little more robust. Could be a pain to drill out if I catch that cloth of the belt with a drill it could ruin it.
