UPDATE! It looks like we are one step closer! While doing our research, we somehow we missed issuing a Centurion number to Charles Ecton (Templar726-TK 72627) for his insanely cool Death Trooper armor (link here) in 2016. We have rectified that, and he is now Centurion #478. With the recent addition of Rob T., that puts us at only 21 spaces remaining...... getting close now, so get those submissions in soon!4 points

Next stop, bucket painting. The main references I'm using as a guide are @CableGuy's ANH Stunt - helmet painting tips thread and linked YouTube vids (what a glorious helmet!) and starswarshelmets.com: http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-Stunt-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm Sample references of the Dave M (L) and Brian R (R) helmets: So far I started with all the black (Humbrol 85 Satin Black), as I was hoping for feedback before I continue on with the grey (Humbrol 5 Dark Admiralty Grey Gloss. I know I painted more than I needed to here, but it was mostly pulling excess paint from the borders during application of 2 coats. Ear bars are done too, forgot to take pics.2 points

Hello! I've been watching this forum for years now looking at different people's builds, but haven't made an account until today. Off and on for the past 7 months, I've been teaching myself 3D modeling. Starting with little things (like wargaming piece modifications) and gradually moving my way up. That being said, I'm not one who is able to easily and quickly create things 100% from scratch just yet. So something I started doing was using old low-poly video game models and turn them into something actually nice to look at. I plan on continuing this process for different helmets throughout star wars games. Would I be able to upload pictures and links to the 3D models on this thread so other people can use them even if they are for costumes not yet approved by the 501st? Will this be ok or does the armor stuff on here have to be 100% good stuff? The models will be 100% free and stored on thingiverse when I make an account there, so I'm not trying to advertise or make a profit on anything. This is just a hobby of mine during my days where I'm not busy with life or college. Thanks for reading and sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I don't step into dark territory!1 point

Oh sweet! I figured it wouldn't be right for me to try and cash in on models that are: A. Modified from old low-poly models (so not scratch built) B. May not reach other peoples' standards Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!1 point

Hello and welcome (finally) We do have a 3D section just for sharing models, you can find it here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/201-3d-parts-and-technical/ Files can be specifically posted here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/202-3d-file-depository/ Many thanks for your kind offer to share files, don't see this very often these days, most seem to want to case in on the 3D designing, hat's off to you.1 point

I really liked what you did and I did my best to copy how you did it. Thank you for all the help and great ideas. Now I’ll need to wait till Monday to retake photos on the count of the weather, I want to let everything set and dry now. That was the last thing I think I needed to do. I mean I could have left it like you said it didn’t look bad before but why not make it 100% if I’ve already put this much time and effort into it.1 point

Forearms: Belt snaps were too tight to allow the belt to stay any higher so I removed and raised their position.1 point

I would certainly leave some return edge, I have just on 4mm on chest/ab and back/kidney areas. The TD colour looks much better in outdoor light, I was concerned it looked almost black in earlier shots. Solid work trooper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Posting this to make me feel better. I found a glass cup that was going to be thrown out, so I chromed it to ensure that I'm taking the proper steps. I did the process so many times I just slammed through this in like 10 minutes. If my costume were made of glass, this would have been a cake walk.1 point

It is going to be a while before we have this build thread repaired. If you are building a pack and need information or photos we are still updating our back pack Facebook page regularly. We have just published instructions for making the longer antenna variant. There is also a half price sale on the Hook greeblie. PM me for details if you are interested.1 point
