  1. So basically if you order now, it’ll be easier to transfer it to your kid because you’ll probably be too old once it ships Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. Thanks Yoshix. Ok so a little update on the shoulder straps. After pondering options other than Velcro for attaching the shoulder straps to the breast plate, I came up with several possible methods. I considered everything from snaps to a hook latch but nothing really jumped out to me, then out of the blue I came up with the simplest idea of them all, a simple pocket. So I took some left over HIPS about 1/8” thick and cut two small pieces to fit the area behind the raised portion of the chest plate. I had filled this area with PC-7 originally to provide an angled surface for Velcro so I needed to mill all the PC-7 out and reduce everything back to the way the chest plate came. Next, I used Bison contact cement to attach the HIPS. Once the Bison cured, I blended the outside of HIPS with the inside of the back plate with PC-7 and let is cure. After the PC-7 cured, I painted it white and added the Velcro that holds the black elastic shoulder straps that run from the back plate to the chest plate. Next, I did a test fit of the shoulder straps and the are perfect. The only thing that holds them in the pocket is friction; however, the pocket is about 5/8” deep so I do not think they will come out hen wearing them. So, I feel this has solved the attachment to the breast plate. I am working on building the new master bucks to cast. Once they are done, I will make a silicone mold then cast some new shoulder straps. Thanks for the interest.

  3. I think they say it’s 1.5mm think. I’m 6’4”, about 200, slim to medium build and it seems to be working out. Designed for larger trooper but definitely workable to get slimmer fitting. I particularly wanted the tougher, thicker armour so it feels more armour like Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Words cannot decribe how excited I am! After many setbacks, a lot of frustration, it is finally working! This is my personal cast with a test insert piece that I just did after I modified the mold Next week, I expect to get a lens test. If that fits, shipping out kits will follow immediately I learned a lot during this project, made (expensive) mistakes (note to myself: When Luke says "it will not work" , it will not work) but as always, the result matters in the end :) I want to thank @sni9er for the constant support, @Mr Mold Maker for giving tips as well and all the supporters who helped, bringing this project to life!

  6. Hi Candido and thank you for your patience. while reviewing your submission, we have found one item that would stand in the way of the Centurion. Although it was not mentioned in the EI review, we have to be consistent, so the paint on the teeth will have to be fixed for level 3. As per the requirements for basic approval, Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area You may also want to replace the tube stipes as they are a bit thick and few in number, they are also on backwards. The tops should lean forward, not back. The tube stripes are not deal breakers, but definitely worth mentioning and hopefully you may replace these to better match the reference images. Reference images Let us know if you achieve these. Thanks Andrew

  7. I do believe the Bapty blaster was used by Stormtroopers on the Death Star, I don't have any screen grabs at the moment but I can find them. The bapty was used in the pre production photoshoots, you can see it as the E-11 being held by Han and Leia. There is a great blaster building Facebook group dedicated to the Bapty blasters (the E-11 and the Dlt-19). Cool history and unique props. https://www.facebook.com/groups/801444749866194/

  11. Fantastic! Mark great job. Don't forget to add some shoulder bell supports if you're planning on applying for the higher levels of accuracy.

  13. I tried to order from RT-Mod but after initial contact, never heard from him again, saw on another thread someone else had same issue. He had a long lead time but armour looked great and he sizes up to your measurements. I am really happy with my AM kit. It’s really thick, nice a shiny and I had Eric make the helmet. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. Hi Michael, I think what you will find is there are different whites from maker to maker so colour matching the ABS may be difficult. In saying that, perhaps get in contact with some of the vendors here and ask if they have any cut offs you could buy. The link below will give you a list of the vetted makers to contact, but also reach out to Mike from Trooperbay as he also makes kits an may be able to help. Another option would be to google local plastics manufacturers, some may offer smaller sheets of ABS if your lucky.

  22. Hi Zylo! Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately after discussion with the DO team, we agree that your blaster will not be able to pass EIB approval. In general we don't get too picky about blasters because there's a decent amount of variation between makers, but in your case it's missing several major details that normally appear on an ANH blaster. I know you said it's a Hyperfirm, but it doesn't look like my Hyperfirm that I bought a couple of years ago. 1. Rear sight too tall 2. End cap clip is the wrong shape 3. No inner bolt opening/appearance of spring. 4. Handle inset wrong. Should have letters, not grooves, and center should be a screw head. 5. Trigger is wrong style. 6. No charging handle. 7. Ejection port is wrong shape and too small. 8. No ejection port guard. 9. Lower T-track too long. 10. This rivet does not belong here 11. No flash guard. 12. Front sight wrong shape. 1. Missing bayonet lug. 2. Rear of folding stock is wrong shape. (Strange, because the other side is correct). 3. Wrong type of fastener. Here are some reference images: And photos of my own Hyperfirm B-grade: (Note that my own blaster is a bit incorrectly weathered, but it does have all the proper details.) I'd suggest you checking out the E11 forums for sources of other blasters, or looking through past EIB applications. Don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of assistance.

  23. My fans sit on a rail system that fits into my helmet. The fans do not rest on the helmet itself, so they create very little noise. ukswrath makes the full rail kit.

  25. My apologies to everyone: I no longer have the pictures of the process. Maybe somewhere down the road I'll be able to have another crack at the BS helmet: but that'll have to wait. Currently at college and poor xD Thanks to everyone for understanding!!!

  26. Really depends how they are sitting once on, ideally the front should have 1 large and 4-5 small ridges attached. A nice thread full of detail pics can be found here

  27. In regards of the forearms I would suggest make the wrist as snug as you can, barely getting your hand through for that sleek ANH-look Ignore that busted bicep and keep up the great work

  28. I put in an order for a Hyperfirm before they started shutting down. I was referred to another company, the one Kalani metioned, and placed an order with them. The whole purchase was excellent. Communication was great, and they delivered a beautiful product. I'd definitely recommend them.

  30. You may want to enforce the side/edge of those areas too, they tend to take the strain and crack first with continued used of opening up to get your arms in. Coming along nicely

  31. To avoid the turn-around time from DoopyDoo's you can also get their full resin kit from me. I always have some in stock (only opened for an inventory check, so I guarantee no missing parts). This would make even more sense, in case you want to use the opportunity and grab a Completion Set, optionally with finished scope rail and/or Hengstler counter. Hm, sounds like an advertisement, but I just wanted you to know your blaster options. And resin is not that bad for trooping, most TKs I know are using resin blasters.
