My to do list seriously doesn't seem to be shrinking at all. What, lying around sick isn't checking things off?? Absurd. After I got those pictures kitted up on Sunday, I could barely move. Energy levels are low, mental energy is high but disjointed... my brain is like a sleep-deprived 3-year-old on a caffeine high trying to complete a puzzle with oven mitts on. Moreover, last night to my great chagrin I realized that my split rivets are too short to go through 4 layers of ATA ABS and a layer of elastic (as they would have to have done for my proposed side hinge closure). I can a) buy more online and wait for them to come because apparently nobody sells split rivets any more or b) rework the closure since it was bulkier than I wanted anyway, and I worry about straining the rivet holes (even reinforced). Option b) won out during last night's "sleep", and I think I'll put in ornamental split rivets with a conventional three pairs of double snaps with 2" elastic. Let's lay a few things out. • Sand ab seam • Reinforce seam • Install split rivets • Install ab closure • Size canvas belt • Sew on Velcro • Paint ab plate buttons • Glue ab buttons to ab • Attach belt snaps to ab • Attach ammo packs to belt • Connect cod to ab • Cod to butt elastic • Better butt to kidney strapping • Trim buttplate edges • Re-Plastidip bucket interior • Drill lens holes • Install lens mounts • Install frown mesh • Polish everything • Install ears • Paint bucket • Trim shoulder tops • Connect shoulders • Heat form shoulder straps (?) • Reinforce straps (?) • Apply straps to chest, five bumps on chest plate • Make shoulder bell strap • Trim shoulder bells (12" from bottom of ridge, 5" from side of ridge?) • Sand out hovi mic tip interiors • Install speakers • Paint hovis • Make neck seal bib Seems to me that, from the couch (or adjacent floorspace) today, I can work up new buttplate, shoulder, and ab strapping, trim the buttplate and shoulders, get shoulder strap positioning nailed down, and move on to belt and neck seal work if I can. I'd REALLY like to plastidip my bucket some more, but breathing with my respirator on... oh! I could paint my ab buttons, too. Let's do this thing! *cough*

I managed to pick up some nuts and bolts for attaching the ceiling hooks for the straps. For anyone who buys these hooks, these are flat head Phillips #8-32 1/4 IN: I backed them with some small washers and got everything attached: The straps are just standard backpack straps compatible for hiking packs and ALICE packs. They're very padded and feel pretty comfortable. If it comes it that, I will pad them in some way. Otherwise, it feels good and works! I will eventually paint the reflective strips black. I don't want to be spotted by Rebels.

Just got it today so haven´t really tested it, no problem putting on/off with just the glove but I can see some training is requried when in full armor. Glove can´t be too thight to begin with though so I checked that before ordering And I got some lines pre-installed but the great thing is that you can change them out as you like just plugging it in to the computer.....obviosly I have no idea HOW to do it but there´s a manual included so should be able to figure it out...eventually

Fine, I have balanced the sane advice with Daniel's advice - quickly recoated my bucket with plastidip, and will now lie very, very still. And thanks, Tony! PM sent. Turns out the rivets only have to go through 3 layers of ABS plus one of elastic, so if I can do the initial closure plan I'd like to.

Oh, I meant Centurion for my regular ANH TK. HWT EI is probably not an issue, I'd assume, since my underlying armor is already EIB, once weathering is applied.

To elaborate on how to fix the sniper plate going under the thigh (I'm actually yet to see someone who didn't have at least a bit of this problem, so very, very common!)- Get a cheap washcloth (like from the dollar store), wrap it up in duct tape, tape it into the top of the shin. It gives it just enough punch out that it doesn't slip under the thigh, and problem solved. Provided your thighs aren't overly large for you, and therefore not helping the situation.

Hi, ok, then i have to get used to assymetrical i think! It is the 2018 improved TKUK armor. I think it look much better now! I also have the older kit unbuilt.

I have used Flex-Seal for many projects, but due to it's runny nature I'm not sure if I would go that route, Jake. Plasti dip has worked out well for me in my buckets, and as long as you sand the inside (gives it a better surface to adhere to) and then clean/wipe it out thoroughly with rubbing alcohol (let it dry,of course) before starting it should work out just dandy. I'm not sure if Flex-seal has any residual odor, and being as you will be breathing it in you may want to test it first. Plasti-Dip has a horrible odor, but it dissipates in a few days. Whichever product you choose be sure to apply it in a few thin layers rather that one thick one. Hope this helps!

Great question, so the following reference photo is screen used armor. Note the notch placement, duplicate it. Your butt plate will move around while trooping regardless, so how it aligns with the notch won't matter too much once installed.

Q1A. You nailed it, armor and body strapping adjustments needed or added. Q2A. Nothing saying you can't trim it, just not too far Q3A. Your trim lines will work. Also suggest making sure the butt plate is fully under the kidney before final trim is made. Q4A. No longer required at any level of approval. 22mm notch is completely up to you to add. Personally, I did it because it was accurate. Q4A (belt alignment) Unless you plan to Velcro it in place, plan on it moving around while trooping. Perfectly normal Keep up the good work

Awesome Kalani. It's been a while since I trooped my HWT but when I did it was an hour or so in the heavy then at my first break I switched to a TK. Lightening the loads makes the remainder of the troop a bit more pleasant. Gotta love options.

As Glen said. Lore-wise, maybe yes, but let's stick to the CRL for this one. You can still wear a Pauldron to un-offical events (non-Disney / LFL) as of many of us do, but the ultimate decision should be made by your Garrison command staff if Pauldrons are allowed.

I didn't think much on the sniper plate as that particular issue is fairly common. Simple fix is to add a bit of material behind it to kick I forward a bit. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk

Well we aren’t the only ones frustrated. I was just a Disneyland Launch Bay yesterday and was talking with one of the supervisors and they brought up a Anovos. They said that when they were selling the Anovos helmets and costumes they got so many angry customers from late or no delivery they pulled the plug. So sounds like the Mouse isn’t too happy with them either.

Mmhmm, sure Frank, sure. Tbh I wish my kit came with a thin lens - what my ATA came with is so thick I can barely bend it, and it refuses to be heat formed. Perhaps that's welding shield material? It's very nice quality, just a pain to work with. Why shanksh Rat! I'm very, very motivated to finish this build and get to serving the Empire.

By the time we get these, there will be a new trooper that we will all want and the cycle will start all over.
