  1. So now ill see posts of Skutch and Bluey patroling the streets of NM....nice, i like it. ...oh and now you have to change your sig banner haha!
  2. i used a black paint marker to outline the traps on my TD. different brand though...i used Decocolor...but they are the same kind of thing.
  3. whoops..yes i meant .080. thanks guys! i dunno why they only have that one thickness listed for white ABS. Im going to be building a small Vac-table, nothin crazy, just a "shop-vac" one. Im gonna fiddle around with some smaller stuff, but would like .060-.080. basing that off of my old AP armor which is .080 i believe. .090 will likely be too thick to get any nice detail on a shopvac set-up. Does anyone have a US source for white (and black) ABS sheet in these thickness's ?
  4. lol...maaaaaybe !
  5. This is probably a dumb question lol.......So i went on TAP plastics to price a sheet of ABS plastic, i want to get .80 ...but they only have 3/32" listed. what is .80 in inches? is .80 the gauge?
  6. Well..that just sealed the deal for me. Looking to do an ESB TK...now i know what armor im getting PM incoming
  7. heh me too. It did grow on me a bit, and id like to have one in a TK helmet collection, but thats probably about it lol.
  8. Lonewolf hasnt finished his sculpt yet. Hes still tweaking. Im waiting for him to be happy with it, and going to replace my MLC3 with his. Definitely the most accurate ive seen. MC and SC, the 2 mentioned armorers are definately the best 2. If your already 501st, you can find Atin armor on the 501st forums. just search Atin and you'll find him. Its not as accurate..its from older molds from before we all knew exactly what the scout armor was shaped like, but its way cheap and approvable. Advantages of the MC and SC kits, aside from being more accurate, is also that they come with most everything you need for assembly. I personally have MC armor and love it. Jeff from SC is also great to work with.
  9. Im 5'7 and 220 (getting slimmer now though heh) and i had AP armor for my TK. Its all in the way you fit it to yourself.
  10. casting these in rubber/foam may be a good idea. They would then be flexible and can work as padding as well.
  11. That is some great describing and diagramming Terry... well done as usual..couldn't have explained it better myself! PS hope Darth Stewie is still doing well Terry! haha
  12. That looks AWESOME! Great Job! I wish all the TKs that applied for membership looked this good! Would make my job eaaaassssyyyy!
  13. i just did the front strip a little larger than the actual screen used strip on the front. I adjust the size by the back of the leg. My thigh i think was 23" around so i just added shims on the inside on the back. i then just covered any seem with a finishing strip. Mine is wide on the back, probably about 3-4" but no one really notices the back. From the front it looks perfect.
  14. Well, after the charity donations, and family/freinds gifts of cash, id quit my crap job, move out of New York City!! Id buy a house for myself, and a house for my sister. My house would have a large part built to show off my second sets of Costumes i built for display and other movie prop replicas i will surely buy/make. Id have separate rooms for the different genres of movie. Id have a 6 car garage and Id get 2,1969 dodge Chargers (one blackcherry and one "General Lee") Id build a replica K.I.T.T. (Knight Rider/ Modified 82 Trans Am), and acouple of other classic MOPAR musclecars, oh and the new Challenger for my everyday car. (can you tell i love MOPAR muscle cars? lol) Id probably never miss a con and vacation alot..i guess thats about it lol ....one day one day
  15. Looks great Dan! Ive grown to appreciate the ROTJ buckets. Id like to have, in additon to my trooping buckets, an ANH, ESB and ROTJ on my helmet shelf one day.
  16. I think thats the promo ESB blaster. Ive seen troopers with ANH blasters less the counter and cylinders in the carbon freezing scene. So i think both scope rail types would be fine for ESB. As long as the proper greeblies are there/not there. Actually someone posted a pic of one in another thread. EDIT: Now i cant find the pic...lol, but i know i saw it. lol.
  17. I agree with TKrestonva 100% ...and i wish i had your build lol. Im finally starting a diet next week lol
  18. Thats pretty cool of ya Scott! trooper helping troopers! Strangely, myself and 2 other troopers ran into Steve at the Dennys for breakfast that day. He "crashed" our table so he wouldnt have to eat alone...we had to go to catch our flights and left before him though...glad this worked out, i would have felt like crap if i found out this happened right after we left and then you got stuck Steve. Glad Scott came to the rescue!...and it was nice meeting ya Steve!
  19. Happy birthday Paul!
  20. hahahaha! Ah that ben cooper '77 TKbrings back memories...i had the Vader lol
  21. this is the third time ive seen this....makes me wonder if it was the same guy....i mean really...do you really think that looks right guy? good lord!! LOL!
  22. Well..i will be leaving in a few hours...see you all there!
  23. indeed, novus after you assemble. The AP has a dullish luster too it, when you polish it it loks amazing close to acrylic capped ABS. Super glossy!
  24. Holy shiney white plastic batman! those are some AWESOME suits! I think you have just confirmed that my TK upgrade will likely be a TM. i dont care what it cost! LOL!
