Thanks John! Heres some more pics of the helmet done. Although this is an ABS kit, i am still going to paint it to give it a more accurate look. I went with the ABS for the durability factor. So here it is:

Just started a little bit on the kit today. I know its not much but thought id show ...something lol. I decided to start on one of the helmets first. Heres the rough fit of what will be the ANH helmet. I havent trimmed out the ears yet. Its being held together with magnets. But so far, so good.

Yup, and also packages over a certain cubic size are supposed to default to 20lbs. regaurdless of size or weight. So i have no clue what that was all about....but yea, the good news is definately that i have it! So this thread can finally become a build thread. Maybe it should be renamed "the search for DV's armor" and moved to the NCO club and i should start a new build thread LOL! Anyway, i am now home and the armor looks fantastic! The buckets(i got 2, a regualr and a b grade) look amazing! Looking forward to diving into this!

My thoughts exactly ripcode! But at last the arrmor has arrived!! I had to pay $4.15 cuz they say he underpaid...eh..no big deal..maybe thats why the held it..but seriously they should have known where it was as soon as myself or Terrell inquired. The post office is lame!

i always use krylon flat black on my blasters. It has this grayish hue to it that just looks like a real weapon to me. That textured paint looks pretty awesome though too!

ya know, that sticker with the lightning bolt... and the textured plastic its made from looks incredibly like a "lightsaber" i had when i was a kid. It was basically a glow in the dark sword. and im 90% sure it had a sticker on it just like that. If im right,m this is old, star wars era..like somewhere between 78-80 or so. Probably rare for what it is but, obviously not what he thinks he has. "the first stormtrooper helmet to hit the market"....ummmmmm no lol

Sweet tutorial bro! You use alot of techniques i use...i like the black before the grey idea...smart! When the post office finally finds my box...ill be looking forward to building my kit...i got 2 helmets with mine so i can switch from ESB to ANH =) The ATA helmet looks fantastic..great job Terrell, and great Job puttin her together Panda!

ive used goo gone, does the same thing as the lighter fluid. Not "oops", as that is solvent based and will damage the armor...Goo gone is citrus based and does not damage the armor at all...works a treat!

yea sucks big time. Saw 2 postal trucks this morning both whizzed by...still no armor or call from the post office. As for the blaster builds..there are a few good ones. Mine is a little more extensive in some aspects than others..and less extensive in other aspects than others, but most are good threads...check emm all out and take ideas from all of em! i think i called mine the one step beyond e-11 build or something like that lol

Sure did...im beginning to think they lost this package though. when we call, they basiclly read us the same info thats on the tracking. Which is that it was last scanned 1am Feb 25th at "Bethpage NY and is on the way to its destination" Its very frustrating. i repeatedly tell them..Bethpage is less than an hour from the main NYC post office, which is literally 3 blocks from my job, which is where its going. how does it take over a week to get there? this was shipped priorty and it has now been 10 days since it shipped and 8days past the expected delivery date. We filed a missing package complaint and they said they need 2 business days ...so Monday is the second business day. They also said the shipper can do more from their end, so i e-mailed Terrell to see if he can get any info on his end, or at the very least get reimbursed for the item cost and be able to ship out another kit if it comes down to that. hopefully it wont...but for now im out a nice chunk of change and a set of armor This is actually why i stopped using the post office for anything large and domestically shipped. ill keep everyone updated on the outcome of this. check this out: tax return check was supposed to be sent out feb7th...was postponed till the 11th finally get the check, deposit it thinking it goes in as cash, as its a federal check, apparently not.......had to wait 24hrs for it to clear It clears, i go to paypal ATA...it wont let me send him anything but an e-check....(later found out my credit card on file expired..apparently that makes a difference event though it should have been a direct bank account transfer) ..so had to send an e-check...which takes 5-7 days to clear.. e-check finally clears ATA ships...and now this post office fiasco..... Someone out there REALLY doesnt want me to have this armor!

you got it bro! Its definitely in the plans!Ive wanted one for years but rarely saw them. Plus alot of the time they were the newer 90s versions...i like the classic 79-80s versions so it looks like im going to have to make them myself haha. Definitely in the plans!

Thanks bro....Aside from the recent finishing of the mando( i started it in March 09!) The rest is all older done with stuff. Havent made a hock in a looong while. Vader im pretty much done with for a while. I want to focus on the Vac forming bucks and the vac forming itself now. As you may have noticed...i LOVE making stuff!

Hey everyone...glad this section has been added! As some of you know, i do make some prop/costume pieces at the moment. I dont go for super duper prop replica, but more for a nice accurate looking costume piece. I have made fiberglass Vader helmets based off of the old Don Post Classic action helmet. I did quite a few modifications on it and may update the masters in the future...who knows. Ive also built a Boba Fett helmet form scratch which im very proud of. Im actually currently tweaking a casting and making it the new master as there were a few things i wanted to tweak a bit more. But now i am ready to move onto the next level of armor making.....this has been a long time coming, and will probably still be a ways away....but my basic vac table set up should be a go by the summer or sooner. I have many plans for scupting and vac-forming armor for alot of my fave characters. Along with an animated clone, Snowtrooper, bikerscout, and TIE pilot....The mighty TK is in the mix of course. I also plan on making things like the oldschool Gatchaman/g-force/battle of the planets helmets, and an oldschool BSG Cylon Centurion. Plus of course other various small parts like TD pack parts n such. All of these will be my original sculpts/builds.....ill start with smaller stuff of course, but in the long run, the plans are there for many -a great things. Ill post in this thread as i get things going. I will also use this thread to document any TK (or other)sculpts i do to avoid any recasting suspicions. Im very confident i can sculpt a set of TK armor...im a bit wery of the helmet as its SO difficult to do...but i will give it my best go! heres to the fun of making stuff!!

I actually called them today and they said call back tomorrow if it doesnt show up today. Yea it is sad Terrell. You pay for priority and you should get priority...what if it was something more important? ...not that armor isnt extremely important...haha..but you know. Its funny cuz the tracking still says the delivery date is feb 25th...ugh

Still no armor...blah! The post office is pissin me off! Lol. Tracking said the package was an hour away in bethpage NY 1am friday morning. In the past when that happens i have the package the next day or maybe the following day. ...so....im stil waitin...
