  1. I'll be there in my TK for the group shots.
  2. You're doing an excellent job Nicky. It is really coming out nice. The little gap on the ear is typical for most helmets including the movie one. Your's isn't bad at all in my opinion.
  3. Ab plate top - My screen derived armor has about 1/4" on it. Chest plate around neck - no return edge. Kidney plate bottom. If it is cut from the butt plate I don't see how a return edge is possible. I do not remember seeing a return edge in the movies. kidney plate top / chest plate bottom - 1/4" on my screen derived armor. Kidney sides - no return edge (correct) top/bottom of each piece - -forearms don't have a return edge at the wrist. I believe some people have one back by the elbow. -Thighs, return edge at top. Bottom should already have a return edge. -Greaves have a return edge at top. No return edge at ankle. -Shoulder bells, slight return edge at the bottom. -biceps have slight return edge at top. Not sure about bottom. Mine does not. cod and butt no return edges around the bottoms of them. This is the best of my knowledge. Whether you have return edges or not shouldn't matter for approval.
  4. I log in each time so it doesn't hurt me any whatsoever. Everyone should log in to get the best out of this so I am all for making it better. Thanks Paul.
  5. Don't forget Tom's Restaurant on 112th and Broadway. Of course you could spend weeks in NYC visiting places from the movies.
  6. Mine is my nickname since before I was even born. Born Raymond D Nichols III, Tray for short.
  7. He is a member of the ECG. I believe I heard it is Ronald Lares.
  8. Yeah, It's tough to keep up with non members really. We, Garrison Carida, have an Academy where we let people join our forums with limited access and our cadets assigned an adviser who is always there to help with questions. All members are able to post and chime in with help. Each cadet also gets their own build thread to post photos and questions of there build during the process so that when the time comes they go through the approval process very smoothly with little to no changes needing to be made. I think this would be a great thing for other garrisons to adopt if they don't have anything like this already.
  9. yeah, I put a snap right in the center of that and then my belt snaps to that so the entire thing is covered.
  10. I just used a metal ruler long enough for my cut and clamped it to the plastic and scored and snapped it off. It comes out pretty clean right off the bat but you can sand to smooth the edges a little.
  11. One thing I would love to see is a "mark all threads read" link on the main forum index page. I would like to make everything appear as If I already read it so when I come back I can click new contect and not get so many pages of them. I just want to start from scratch again. No big deal if we can.
  12. I always see them at BigK aka K-Mart.
  13. I enjoy the people. And LOVE my TK. I spend more time here than I do in my own garrison forums. Just always cool seeing what people are up to. And all the new things people find about the armor.
  14. apparently it isn't on tapatalk. It just has some mobile app thing set in it.
  15. looking good. At times I wish I could buy 5 more TK suits just so I could have all the variants I like. And have one just all out Screen accurate. Watching with enthusiasm.
  16. As everyone has said, my first reaction was the thighs needed rotating just as everyone has said. The way you are standing does not help the photo at all. the angle isn't the problem. You are standing with your legs apart and feet pointing out and one leg slightly back from the other. You should stand at attention, feet point forward shoulder width apart and legs straight to see how they really look.
  17. you are about the exact height I am. Most of the lines you should be able to trim to and use. The greaves you'll trim some off the bottom unless you have longer legs and shorter torso. I'm the opposite of that, short legs longer torso. I also trimmed some of the top of the thigh off. Everything else was to the trim line. I am 5'9" weighing in at 175 lbs. when I built the kit.
  18. That seems like an odd statement considering the shoulder bells in that particular photo clearly do not overlap like they did in ANH. The way my armor is I would say if my biceps hung as low as they do here you wouldn't notice the black strap that went round it anyway. Is this just for ESB or is this something that is for all variants of TK's? I didn't see a post that Travis stated he was reading the ESB CRL. I just want to be sure I understand what is being said and for what it is being said about. There are so many variants of TK's I just want to be sure I am on the same page.
  19. Bobojuice did an awesome tutorial for how to fit armor for the tiny people. I am guessing this would be something you would want to check out. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=18243
  20. yeah, I would venture a guess that not many people will want to pay for the kit as it is trying to be fazed out. $80 - $100 sounds like a good deal for a display version though.
  21. I know this is way late in the discussion but T/MC armor is made with .090 ABS.
