  1. good work. Looks smooth. Are you going to try and recreate the return edge or will you just leave it as is?
  2. Nice job. I've used that on my car before when I went from a green interior to a black interior. Looks and works great.
  3. can you use a very very high grit sandpaper? then polish the armor afterwards?
  4. yeah, it is funny that a joke is in fact making kickstarter rich. Man I wish I was the creator of that site. It does surprise me that Kickstarter actually approved those projects.
  5. not to mention the stupid people who are dumb enough to think that there is a real chance to build a death star or an x-wing and the idiots who are stupid enough to give money towards it. Are they completely mad? Of course kickstarter is going to get rich. IF it were my company I would encourage everyone to start stupid projects so I made more money. You do know that's why people start companies right? to make money? Why would we be surprised that a company makes money off of other peoples money?
  6. THis is why mine has cracked in a few places. I have patched them but after 5 years it is slowing coming to the time where I will need to replace it.
  7. They say in the article that was written that you could buy a nice car for the price of the suits.
  8. How is everything going with the builds Peter?
  9. You finished yet Choo Choo?
  10. First post talks about it trying to be sold on pawn stars. Even has a link showing the episode.
  11. Whoever paid 3500 for it is either an moron or really really likes Star Wars and carbon fiber. Nothing about that helmet makes me want it and the idea that someone was crazy enough to spend that much... I'm guessing they have no idea. It isn't even accurate. Now if they did it with a SA helmet maybe, but an MR recast? ugh. I hope whoever bought it loves it because that's just a waste. Sure it is a fun idea, but it is useless.
  12. I lay out each piece and make sure it all loks good before putting it on. Thnen I put it on in about 10-15 minutes depending on how much energy I have. As I put on fat around my belly I have a little harder time with a spot or two but usually can still get in armor all by myself. I made sure I didn't have to have help getting in my TK.
  13. I didn't do anything. Mine is held in place by how tight I assembled the helmet. I have never had any issues with it. Sorry I am not any help though.
  14. Thanks for the heads up Nicky. hahahaaaa
  15. Ruby Rinekso of the ECG is a good friend of mine and the reason I joined the legion after 3 years of his pestering. His ID# is 1245 so I used a variation of his number for my own to honor him for getting me to join this amazing group.
  16. You might find them at a Sears hardware, ACE or True Value hardware store. Usually found in the small drawer bins they have.
  17. I believe they are referred to as Whippet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whippet
  18. Best to get the double boxes so they hang better. Just using the outside shell like most use will always lay funny.
  19. table sander is perfect because it has the perfect curve to shape the ears.
  20. And for the record to not confused people this kit is the T/MC kit. NOT FAC. FAC is the company that pulls the armor.
  21. In the very blurry picture I see a slight color difference but focus and angle can effect that. in the other I do not. I'd like to see a lot of other photos showing they do not match but based on the 2 you show I don't see a problem. Inside light is bad light to judge things.
  22. I've never seen them not match when coming from the same batch. Sorry that happened. I am sure we can work something out. MY only problem now is a new helmet matching the other armor.
  23. Sounds like a blast. I loved snowboarding Keystone. I miss being in CO.
