  1. Is there anyway to make it so a PM or post shows us who the member is with the real names, like the legion boards do? I get so many messages asking about money and this and that and 99% of the time I have to know a name, not a forum name. IM going crazy having to bounce around and search out a forum post to find out who they are so I can go find out what they have and so on.
  2. i use velcro on the back side of my boots but it does the same thing. Mine is not AP but the T/MC armor, basically the same armor as AP.
  3. I think the drop boxed could be moved in a little so they align with the front edge of the outside box on the belt.
  4. fun stuff. Great job.
  5. We know that some members have cut them shorter. Meaning cutting off one of the many boxes running down the side. members under 5'5" would surely have to trim theirs down. But yes, photos of your problem will help greatly in insuring what you need is done right.
  6. Sorry, found it in the actual CRL. Look harder next time Tray.
  7. Is there a color associated with the lightsaber they carry? Is it blue? Is it red?
  8. Notice the belt has the smaller boxes in the front and it's wide above the drop boxes. The adjusted photo shows two colors on the ab dots. Looks like a strap from the chest to back on the sides under the arm
  9. just take a wide strip of plastic and glue it along the inside between the two pieces. Maybe 2" wide by the length so you have 1" of glue per side to insure proper hold. This should do a good job of fusing them together. You'll need to insure clean edges. straight lines and then you can paint it afterwards.
  10. I've heard nothing but great things about the soft good. As for wait time, most places have a wait time. Nothing new there. Plastic is terrible really. Like stated earlier, the TFA has a lot of orange peel. Hopefully that's just because they know people have to paint the TFA armor. If the TK's are that orange peel this will show everyone that a $350 ANOVOS kit is a B-grade kit.
  11. Regardless of being Disney, Hasbro or Star Tours, this should cost $20 and $7 for the paint. So this is ridiculously expensive. There are a lot better options than this one. Keep searching friend. They are a dime a dozen at most stores.
  12. What everyone is saying. I PMed you back as well. You need to request 501st access first.
  13. Even an official event can be extremely dangerous with one trooper and one squire. Just be safe. If this is for friends and you trust the people you would be in costume with have fun and enjoy. You paid for the costume. It's yours to wear whenever you want.. No one can tell you otherwise unless you intrude on Legion business. Whenever I dress up and do anything fun in costume outside of official garrison events I always have someone with me who will take care of us. Watch my back and be my eyes and ears. As for charity events, those should be done through your garrison. They will have a much better turn out and the price is the same.
  14. 9V should last a good long time since it is running roughly the right volts for both fans together, 5V+5V. I think either way you are going to be running .5V short per fan using AA, AAA or the 9V setup.
  15. Mine is a variation of a friends ID# who dragged me into the legion. It's how I honor him for getting me to join such an amazing group.
  16. As said, Stunt is definitely the way most makers go these days. We have actually done some great mods and additions with the T/MC helmet in being able to offer a more accurate hero helmet. We finally created the new Hero ears. We've always offered bubble lenses. The decals are not painted style for centurion status but most people seem to paint theirs when it comes to centurion status. I believe you can get approved as a basic Hero without much problem as long as it is made to the specs. I plan to take mine as accurate as I can this time around. While I love clean, I love accurate even more now. Long Live the Empire. I say build what you like, and Build for the legion. It's a win win either way.
  17. it should be. That means it has a lot of sounds and things, correct? Not Hyperfirm? Links are okay. Share if you have questions.
  18. I don't think it should be that much of a problem. -----------
  19. My nickname. The name Tray was giving to me prior to birth. My name, if you have noticed on the legion boards, is Raymond Nichols born Raymond Dorsie Nichols III. Because I am a third Ray my dad always wanted to call me Tray. Unless I am filling out government documents I have gone by the name Tray since before I was born.
  20. I'm working on his trading card now. Is there a # associated with Anthony's Centurion HWT approval?
  21. Welcome Ryan, The Ireland Garrison is also a good place to go as they are all members of the 501st Legion in your country and can help you with the actual build of your costume. They are a great bunch of people with the same enthusiasm about Star Wars. You can find them at the following link. http://www.501stireland.com/
  22. If it isn't a real name that may be why they are making sure you are a person and not a spambot.
  23. I use Nevr Dull for mine. It is none abrasive and really does a great job. You find it at automotive stores. It cleans everything from scuffs to sharpie accidents. It will not remove scratches but will remove any grim from said scratch.
  24. I usually lock it in my tote. Sometimes I ask a squire to hold it if they are close friends of mine.
