  1. hey Bryan, Here 's the best way to make those AM handplates smaller with a return edge: More info about making return edges: http://www.whitearmo...showtopic=12972 Also, if you want to go screen accurate, then look into a pair of rubber/latex handplates: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9515
  2. Congratulations to these members of the FISD!!! Helmets off to you all for being a part of this forum and what you do to make this Detachment a better place!!! Joe (JoeR) 1000 post Rob (Matt Black) 1000 post Eric (Darth Aloha) 1000 post Ryan (bluehickey) 2000 post Mathias (Locitus) 3000 post Salute to all of you..... Cheers! here's to your next 1000th post.....
  3. Yeah if you are going be proper with the Promo TK and use the SE-14R, just use the standard E11 holster (this would be for non-canon events ) -----------
  4. Hi Craig, most all the armor makers sell replacement parts (arms, legs, back etc...) you can get the square button covers from anyone of the armor makers. Just contact them and see for pricing and availability. Here's the link the the armor makers info/contacts:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538 I know ATA would have replacements.
  5. BTW here are some pix of original ANH/ESB armor to help you: -------------
  6. Hi Kirstin, the best way to do your thigh armor is to have the butt joint (with cover strip) not only in the front, but also the back as well. (more stable) Then you just put the thighs armor on like a pair of pant/shorts. With the Velrco you may have issue getting the backs to line up when putting them on. Then you have to get somebody to help you line them up, etc... If you ask me, glue the backs of the thigh armor closed. My 2 cents.... BTW, welcome aboard the FISD! Have fun with your journey becoming a TK. Tom
  7. I am BIG SW trivia nut....(or a nut that likes SW trivia) Some of this is correct, some of it is not ( missing/wrong info.)
  8. hi Jim, my two cent worth, Ebay is going to have recast kits and not have the costumer service that you will find in the Vetted vendors that was posted above. If you ask me, I would look into the RT-Mod kit. (more accurate than the AM) RT-Mod comes pre-trimmed. plus I know of issues/problems with the AM kit that I wish they would fix. Why I say this is because, I have an AM kit, and worked my butt off to fix them while doing my build. Contact Rob about his RT-Mod kit. I think you will be happy TK. Tom
  9. Congrats Tyler on your EIB!!! now go for the Centurion man!!!!! BTW, If the scanning crew ask you for a little help in the freighter....say you are busy and can't trust me on this...
  10. Correct you may use the cap style for the thigh ammo (the rivets only need to be a full cap, not the pop rivet style.)
  11. "Approximately" is the key . We did this to give you a size to look for/try to have. We do not throw a tape measure on the rivets...so as long as you are in the ball park you are good to go. I am working the updates for the CRLs (adding info).. This is one of the items I was putting into to give an approximation of size. From the looks of the screen used suit, the split rivet size for the crotch tab should be that same as the 6 on the kidney/ab.
  12. No they are different sizes The thigh ammo rivets are smaller than the six you normally find on the Kidney/AB . I used these to hold my thigh ammo (depending thickness ) you may nedd to purchase a long size of these; http://www.tandyleat...ts/1371-12.aspx As for the kidneyAb rivets, check here for a good source: http://www.whitearmo...opic=19041&st=0 The other you will need are male style snaps for the rest. Right side Ab and bottom of butt plate.
  13. Hi Oscar, The drop boxes are gray, I think the images on the Hi res are washed out or some thing wrong... So to do them correctly, paint them gray. The basic level states: "Ears shall have a black horizontal anchor-like detail on each side of the ear bar." Which is referring to the design that you are asking about. So you will need that for approval.
  14. What is the length on that scope and brand Mathias?
  15. Tyler your TK looks great You get those images that Mathias ask for and you should be going to the next level man. I believe you are going to Centurion. Am I correct after getting your EIB.
  16. Have Fun Ingrid, be safe!! if you get a chance and are near, stop by the Ghostbusters location: The Ghostbusters firehouse: North Moore Street, New York.
  17. This guy ZeroRoom does not look like he knows what he is doing with an E11... I kid, I kid..
  18. Nice Build Carlos! looks like you on your way.
  19. The best material is "pet screen" You can find in all home improvement centers (Lowes Home Depot even some Walmarts carry it as well) link to see what I am talking about: ----------
  20. hi Jason, let me clear the confusion up....We do not have the cover strip requirement for any level.... So you will be good go if you have done it with the overlap way. We know that the ANH and ESB screen used TKs had the butt joint and cover strip, which we are hoping that members/people will do this so they can get closer to what you see on screen, But for now, is not a requirement just a hopeful suggestion. Cannot wait to see your TK man!!!
  21. Hi Michael, I am the XO of the FISD and a part of the Carolina Garrison. I see that you state that you have "Morphine and hospitals. I NEED to send out packages!!!" Whom do you need to send packages out to? Please, PM me the list and I will help make sure everyone is taken care of. Tom
  22. TKBoots are great, just wish they did not have the problems with production time. Maybe one day. I have been on the waiting list since April. Be they say good thing come to those who wait....keep checking with them, they might get a cancellation. Or look into Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boot. They will be black, and need to be painted/dyed white...(but that what they did for the original Stormtrooper boots)
  23. Awesome! tell Maddie congrats on becoming Commander Foxy.
