  9. Holy Crap everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! I was getting caught up with my emails from this past weekĆ¢ā‚¬Ā¦Ć¢ā‚¬Ā¦ I was contacted by a coordinator from Lucas Films about helping get 100 Stormtroopers to do a BIG event at LFL HQ in California next month for the 35th Anniversary of ANH/ honor for McQuarrie. Here is the Email: Dear Thomas Gardner, I am Julia Silverman, one of the special events and public relations coordinators for Lucas Films Limited. I was recently in touch with Steve Sansweet and he forwarded your contact information to me. Mr. Sansweet conveyed to us that you and he have been in correspondence this past year about a book you are trying to get published, and you may be able you help us. Let me tell you why I am contacting you. Mr. Lucas is having us plan an event for the 25th of May 2012 at the Head Quarters of Lucas Films in San Francisco, Ca. This year marks the 35th Anniversary for Episode 4, A New Hope. This event we have been planning will commemorate the film, and also to be in honor and pay tribute the late Ralph McQuarrie. At the last minute, Mr. Lucas requested to have around 80 to 100 Stormtroopers as an honor guard for the event. Mr. Sansweet was actively involved with coordination of the 501st during the last large event (The Rose Bowl Parade in 2007). When we contacted Steve this time about helping pull this together on such short notice, he said that "we may be in luck!' Steve said that ironically he has been in contact with you over the past year, and that you conveyed about being on the staff of a 501st website that provides information and give assistance to those that are putting together their Stormtrooper costumes for the 501st Legion. Steve told us that your website has artisan programs that strives to making more screen accurate Stormtrooper costumes. Since it is such short notice, and needing a very larger number and wanting the best looking Stormtroopers that we can get for this event, we are hoping you can help us fine them. We are able to provide transportation and lodging for 100. This event will not be as arduous for 501st members like it was for the Rose Bowl Parade. There will be no need for extensive training, nor any long distance marching. Mainly standing at attention and a short march at the beginning and end of the event. I apologize and realize this is such short notice. So, for incentive for the 100 501st Stormtroopers, we will have a special screening of A New Hope and a teaser screening of next yearĆ¢ā‚¬ā„¢s release of Episode 2, Attack of the Clones in 3D. Plus, a tour of Lucas Films facilities, this will include the Archive as well. Please contact me as soon as you get this email, so we can start coordinating and get the details solidified. Regards, Julia Silverman Lucas Films Limited End of the email. OK, since I/we the FISD staff needs to get the ball rolling and not have pandemonium, I contacted Mason, and we set up a new area this morning for coordinating this so this will go faster. We need anyone and everyone that can do this event to go to the link below and give the following information: Full Name 501st TK ID EI and/or Centurion What version of TK you are Garrison/outpost CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS AND TO SIGN UP NOW!! This way we can look through and pick out the best TKs to do the event. Please know, there are ONLY 100 slots, so first come first serve!!!!!
  10. They may be having some problems with their site links. DoopyDoos also sells on Ebay: STORMTROOPER E-11 COMPLETE ANH E-11 BLASTER KIT OFFER http://www.ebay.com/...#ht_6129wt_1020 STORMTROOPER E-11 PIPE BLASTER BASE DETAILING KIT http://www.ebay.com/...b#ht_5209wt_825 If the ones above are not the versions you are looking for, just look at this link: http://www.ebay.com/...&_ssn=doopydoos
  11. +1 Yeah, you can get "A" grade kits starting $125.oo USD that have screen linage to them. All the kits can be put together in a few hours to a day. (all depends on how long you work on it.) Even if you do the basic 501st approval there are things you will have to do to the MRCE/EFX style helmet: Darker lenses installed Frown painted properly for type/style (gray for ANH,black for ESB/ROTJ) Proper tube stripes for type/style of TK Ear screws added (for ANH/ESB) Chin seam caulked or filled Proper amount of teeth cut out (if needed) Optional Mods: Correct trim Thin out the ears It will take as much time, if not a little more then a kit would. Just my two cent... BTW, a little history about the MRCE, was the original concept for the Master Replicas LE, but got the thumbs down by the prop collector's world. M.R. made it the economy line and named the helmet "Master Replicas Collectors Edition".. After M.R. went out of business, 4 of the top people that worked for M.R. started eFX. eFX retained the copy rights for some of the product one of which is the MRCE which was re-named eFX PCR.
  12. Great looking Incinerator, Some of the thing that I would do have been said above to make it wee bit better. If I may, the drop boxes look a little new looking. If it was me I would scuff them up a bit to go along with the rest of your cool INC.
  13. I like the Shadowtroopers, the only down fall is they look great shiny with no scratches, but look bad when they get a lot of scratches and dirt ( you have to polish your TX about every troop) Whereas the TKs look great either way. in fact I feel the more scuffed up the TK gets the more real they look (plus closer the screen look) One more down fall to the TX...A good friend/ Garrison mate, has a TX, and all the time people yell out "Hey there's Darth Vader!!!" Is true....
  14. TM and Gino make Hero. But the color tone of the white maybe not match either. Here are some options. 1. paint the whole helmet. 2. Cut out the Hero ear bars and cut/dremel out the same are of the ears the color match you helmet. then glue them into the ears that work color wise for your helmet. See below: Sorry, my diagram is a little crude (I am at work.)
  15. ............................ Happy Birthday to Nathan (Runnriottt) and Ingrid (LadyInWhite) Hope you have a great one!
  16. Welcome Back Luis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to see you in your new AP armor.
  17. It's the dianoga in the system fraking with you.... http://youtu.be/vfS-cwoMEfY We also have problems with the Droid Mouse drinking on the job:
  18. I just did just Hovi and got sh!t load.....
  19. The forum search engine (the IPB) plugin is not that great .We were looking into a better search engine to replace this, but a lot are not compatible with the IP software. Some will cost a wee bit more than we have in the piggy bank... Try just "Hovi" nothing else.
  20. The TKC EI does state: Holster should be omitted from this costume. "Should" is the key word". This word allows you (or anyone) make your own decision, with or without a holster....Either way, is EI approval-able (Burger King motto: Have it your way) Hopefully with the discussion about the holster and belt requirements in the Detachment only area, all TK CRLs will be strengthen and better clarification .
  21. Basically, the base 501st approval for All TK E11 states: ''Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster." So you can use anything you want for the weapon as long as it's ''based on the Sterling sub-machine gun" for basic 501st approval. If anyone wants to, for their basic E11, they can have anything they want for greeblies...You can have or not have: counter, power cylinders, etc......... In fact, it states in all TK CRLs: "Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present must meet the guidelines below." There again you do not need a weapon for basic 501st approval. IMHO, that the ESB style should not be allowed at all, only the ROTJ. But this would limit the EI apps, The ANH E11 is waaayy off from what is in the game to be in the mix and could confuse someone new to the TKC CRL. The ROTJ Style Centurion does state: Folding stock shall be in the extended position. The extended stock is a should for the ESB and ROTJ in the EI level, not a Shall. Folding stock (should be in the extended position). And the ESB does not have a Centurion level. I have been working on better verbiage and clarification for ALL the TK CRLs (Basic /EI / Centurion) and will be posted soon for all the TK members to look at and discuss. Have patience If you are having reference to the Sideshow Statue, We do not use it or the action figure for the paint reference, because the Game Model came before them..... but if, and I do mean if someone is going to have a holster we had to use the only reference there is which is the sideshow/action figure. If you read my post in this link: ---------- I said: In the future, the Centurion may end up saying: holster is not allowed. You said from same thread:
