  1. Close the blast doors on that one, and look at the our vetted armor makers list....I think you will my very happy with one of them.
  2. Everyone above hit every mark on the nose....Plus IMO, $1300 way too much for FX,,,,, BTW are they selling the Maul???
  3. Hey Nicky, I know your GML, (Lisa) said she approved you (like time ago). I know the wheels can turn slow sometime with this process ( depending on the number of applications) Have you checked with your GML Lisa? .

  5. Jimmy is correct. Self nominations are not allowed. With an emergency election, some of the protocol is a little different than the regular yearly nominations/elections. BTW: Thank you Jimmy for fielding this question.
  6. Greetings Fellow Troopers, I am officially announcing my candidacy for the FISD Detachment Leader. Anyone that knows me, knows that I have worked hard to add and pay forward to this site and its members. I truly care about this forum and all of its members. I feel that we are not just a website, but I believe that we are all brothers and sisters. Currently I am the Executive Officer (XO) and have taken on the DL duties during Mason's unfortunate absence for the past several months. There are task that have been started that the staff and I want to see through to the end. I also want to insure that the whitearmor.net continues to grow in the direction that will benefit all. At this time, I am asking for your backing and support for me as the FISD Detachment Leader. I thank you all for making this the greatest Detachment in the Galaxy...... 7. Hey Stephen, When you are saying mold your own trooper armor, you do mean sculpting and not pouring something over someone's TK armor (like ATA, TM, CFO etc) (recasting) Cause recasting is a BIG.. BIG.. no, no.. and you do not want to go down that road If you are wanting to sculpt your own molds, then there is a few ways people have done this: Modeling clay is the usual medium. If you are wanting it to be very nice and pro quality, then plasticine is what true sculpting pros use. Cheaper routes are Bondo, wood (carving), and cheaper clays. Then you will have make casting of your sculpted parts for thermoforming the plastic armor pieces.... But understand you can be some dollars out of your pocket. (if done well) People have spent $1000s and $1000s and years doing this, so be prepared Tom
  8. Hey Brent, when are we going to see that new cool sterling of yours??
  9. Hey Andrea it was great meeting you!!!! I loved the TK nails ( Priceless ) Great pix all around. thank you ladies both for the fun pix and posting them!!! BTW, that Tom guy is a bit of a nut case...stay away from him!!!!
  10. Congrats to Mathias (Locitus) on his 4000th post!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Mathias you got to quit double posting and all those me too post..... Just kidding man, I know a well as everyone else the dedication and hard work you do here. Thank you for all that you do...., Tom
  11. Hey all sorry for the morbid title but it is a catchy one..... I bought a full TK suit from a Garrison mate . The armor is it was not in the best of shape (fraked up), Not really salvageable for a regular TK, but just right for making a Death Trooper........ (lemons into demons) So I am getting down with the sickness....... I will post progress pix soon..... So I posted for now a video to hold you over..... http://www.starwarsc...ing/Show-Store/
  12. Hi Derrick, The neckseal in the pix above will work fine for Centurion Hero
  13. Here Paul: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538 Sorry I had to do it man!!!!! :P :P the sith inside me made me do it..........
  14. I know that for a fact that Paul you are the only one with this type of lid. I was told by Mason way back that he had trouble with the molds/bucks and was going to rework them to make is easier/better..... So you have for now, one of a kind, hopefully you will be the first, our model for the Kashyyyk Stormtrooper (KTK) ............
  15. It is just like the other TKs "Optional Accessories" The ANH Hero has the BlasTech SE-14R and the Stormtroooper lightsaber which is not seen in the movies, but is an option.... The StarKiller Lightsdaber something you see in the EU games and like you said with the "customized character" which the EU TKs are one of those that can be customized with adding the Starkiller lightsaber. Canon is a term used for Film TKs (any other Flim characters) not a term used for the EU TKs. If we do an LFL event, they only want Film (AKA "Canon") TKs and and Film Clones no EU stuff...So, we get to play a little more or "Expand their Universe" when it come to the EU TK.s SW "Canon" info: http://en.wikipedia....Star_Wars_canon
  16. Yellow foam in the clover leaf style 1/2 think (like screen used). Also some use the baseball helmet padding foam works great (velcro in) G.I/ Swat helmet style helmet padding works well: http://www.bradleyssurplus.com/used-g-i-a-c-h-mitch-helmet-pad-set.html
  17. This was the Legion TK photo with the Make a wish child. I am glad I had may bucket on, I was about to cry....... Hopefully we will be seeing the other photos soon form the photographer with the Ei and Centurions..... Hey Brian R. has he sent them to you yet????
  18. Hey Joseph, First welcome aboard man! If you have any question about armor, add-ons or anything to do with Stormtroopers, we are all here for you. That is what this site was build for. So, do not hesitate to ask post your questions man. I would also say contacting you local 501st. You did not say where you are which could help us point you to your local 501st. But you can find them from the front page of the 501st.com. Make yourself at home, Tom
  19. just a toy form the late 70s. What is soo funny, is if you have the SW Bluray in the "Saga" set, there is a Flight through the LFL archives and they have one of these setting on the shelf in front of what looks like a screen used lid.... They focus on this halloween mask/toy, but not the real deal......
  20. I just use a good drill bit and botta bing the rivet lip is removed and that is that....
  21. We may not be able to shoot straight, by at least we do not have the problem of running into every tree that is in ten feet of us....
  22. I see that you were the one that purchased it off of Ebay from Slave1Pilot. I got one of those too..They are very cool, have fun Vern. FYI, in the near future there will also be in the TKC CRL the E11b ( the really correct blaster for the TKC) more in coming soon.......
  23. Note: There is a new addendum to "Where, What and Whom To Avoid When Buying" (first post on the first page of the thread), that has to do with sending money for payment for product and services. please take a moment and read. From the FISD staff, Thank you!
  24. Here are some good pix for the padding and strap. For uber screen accurate, the chin snap is a S-spring. The strap is about 25mm wide (1 inch) and were connected to the inside at the ear screws. The padding is foam around 25mm (1inch) thick cut into a leaf style design Yellow over time (see pattern below). But you can soak it in tea to get to the yellowed look.
