  1. hi Carlos, I know that the Steve and the MWG added the info about the people that did this for Katie in the tote. We talked about it via emails when Steve and I discussed purchasing the tote. And I am very grateful for everything that the four members of the MWG that worked on it (top notch people) I just saw though out the internet that the 501st "Legion" got the kudos not the MWG and not the FISD. I feel that if you do the work you should get the thank you. If you look thought the internet blogs about this, you will see what I am talking about. It may be in Carrie's blog, but some how via the internet it was lost. 99.9% of the blogs gave the impression that the over 6000 active Legion members did this (which is really not true) that is what I was disappointment. and Not what the MWG did while presenting the armor ( you guys rocked). to show you how the internet blog are, one of the Blogs named Bryan (MWG PRO and one of the great members that worked hard on this) as the "Legion Leader" "But when she went to Legion leader Brian Troyan to raise concern, she was nearly laughed out of the room." Link to blog: http://www.dailydot....e-501st-legion/ So, do you see what I am talking about now? That the internet bloggers went in the wrong direction (they had the wrong info somehow).
  2. Sorry about the delay, but here is my Death Trooper. Can anybody say BRAINS??
  3. Hey All, I have been looking this over and my true opinion is, that until there is an armor maker that makes a kidney plate large enough to take away the problem of having to shim, that the method or outward look that Charles (Chookaboom) shows below is perfectly acceptable. I am not going to make anyone go on a crash diet nor risk the problems of ruining or doing irreversible damage to their armor. If in the future they lose some inches from their waist, it would be easy for them to remove the shim and do the necessary detailing to maintain their artisan program level.
  4. Looks good Rick. like the battle wear.
  5. Congratz Tony!!! Welcome to the Legion..... Just saw your name/ID# on the front page of the 501st.com http://www.501st.com/ http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=15047 I flipped you over to 501st member here..so you will see a few more blast doors opened for ya......

  7. Well from what I have found ESB were changed out for black and the ROTJ strapping is black as well. ESB: ESB: ROTJ:
  8. Hey Patrick, I guess we got the games for the jawas...They must all have bad motivators..... We will look into it....Thanks for letting us know.
  9. This is something that is an error that I am working on fixing, like Mathias said ignore it. i
  10. Here are a few images I got that may help you. IMHO, I that you had it almost there, just need to have the bells sit higher / cocked from your shoulder. kinda like a NFL shoulder pad.
  11. Those are asset when you are trimming plastic. Love the curved tip.
  12. yeah a month ago, I bought one for $20USD/12.35GBP after taxes, to replace my old heat gun, it works great. Burn the hair off a wamp rat at 1 meter...
  13. Congrats John on your EIB!!!! As for Centurion, here is was I believe for you man:
  14. For what you are wanting to do, I would buy a heat gu. You can get them at most hardware/home improvement store and hobby shops for 10.50GBP ($17USD) to 18.53GBP ($30USD) that will do a great job. Word to the wise, use gloves and be careful take your time (you can burn yourself, and/or do damage to the plastic). ------------
  15. No worries, the Incinerator is one of the TK, the really should not have the holster. The proper weapon is the plasma flamethrower (see below), but we do allow E11, for basic level. We have a discussion and vote earlier this year, about this and few other items on the Basic level. For the Basic level we are wanting it to read: Holster should be omitted from the costume. It is allowable to have a holster for Trooping if you are caring an E11. If a holster is worn, it will be made of black leather or leather-like material. Worn on the left side of belt and be attached to the belt from behind instead of front, with no loops covering the outside of the belt. The holster will be affixed with four fasteners (two at the top and two at the bottom of the belt) instead of none or two. The fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws If the basic level reads like this, and you are going for EIB and/or Centurion, the prior levels will not contradict the next level.
  16. Hi Walton, welcome to the FISD. What you are asking for, a good stormtrooper costume (with all the add-ons) for $200 is to use your words "insanely impossible" especially this time of the year. Once in a blue moon someone will need some extra money, and have to sell their full suit, but I have never seen the price tag drop under $500.ooUSD (average price for a good used might you with everything is around $1000.ooUSD. Pro style costuming (what we do) is not a cheap, especially when you look at the costumes like the Stormtrooper (the cheapest quality made armor kit is around $500.ooUSD) that is not including all the other things you will need (boots blaster, undersuit neckseal gloves and all the little things that you wanted like fans and speakers etc..) this is not cheap nor done overnight or in a few days. We do pride ourselves (the FISD community) on helping and showing the best routes to take when someone is looking to do a TK costume, because it is not an easy nor cheap adventure. One thing I would like to say is buying a pre-made Stormtrooper costume is something you have to be dead on with your size (body type). The armor has to be fitted to your body type, if you buy a pre-made suit, more than likely it will not fit you properly and will need altering. Which can be a headache in it's self. I hope you will change your mind and not just look at doing this for one day of the year, but look into the 501st and see what the group is about and the good it does in this world with charity work and fund raising + we do have fun be the characters for a galaxy far, far away..... We have a lot of info hear to help you do a great Stormtrooper costume, But like I said before, costuming is done at this level is not cheap nor done in a few days.
  17. Hi Patrick, If you look at the movie, like ANH, the Stormtroopers had their holsters on the left hand side because of the way the Sterling was made. If you look at the Stormtroopers when they are standing at attention, they are holding them left handed because the magazine housing is on the left hand side of the E11/Sterling. But, if you watch the movie the Stormtroopers are right handed and left handed all throughout when firing and this was never standardized for the character. So, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt, there will never be a requirement of the way you should hold the gun. I hope this helps to clear this up for you. Tom
  18. Hey Osku, Can you please be more specific on which TK costume you are doing? Some of the TK costumes like the Heavy Weapons Trooper and the Sky Trooper should not have the holster, even for the basic level, but it is merely an option for those who do want it. We had a discussion and vote about the holsters for all 9 different CRL's to try and correct the level confusion. We want to have even the basic level going in the right direction, so it is not confusing.
  19. Hey Carlos Like everyone said above, looking good Here is a thread that will help you to post the rest of the pix that you need to complete the photo part of your EI request: http://www.whitearmo...showtopic=10747 Looking forward to seeing more of your cool TK.
