  2. I use these. They used to sell them at Home Depot but I think now they only sell the ones with ridges on the fingers. The hand guards cover up the logo on the back, and the colored edge is tucked into my under suit sleeves. https://gorillagripgloves.com/collections/core-grip/products/gorilla-grip-never-slip-work-gloves I just use the plastic hand guards that came with my kit. Do you still have yours? I use Velcro to attach them and they've held up for 8+ years.

  3. Personally I use the rubber gloves and inner liners, I've normally got 4 or 5 pairs with me so I can swap out when they get really wet. I've heard some use nomex flight gloves and a few local troopers use their plastic hand plates that came with the kits. Some glue the latex hand plates directly to the fabric http://www.kppix.com/piwigo/_data/i/upload/2016/09/08/20160908120625-d4a641e4-la.jpg "I used E6000 to glue JustJoseph's latex hard guards to my Nomex gloves. Works great! I love not having to mess with separate hard hand guards on loops anymore."

  5. Helmet looks like my black series to me but as you'll need a TFA that's a nice thing to have for a display at home or a con. They can be updated to clear if you want but it's a lot of work. I think the partial yoke is to help reinforce the join between the various parts.

  6. It’s definitely a Disney one and not a kit. The ones made by Disney are inaccurate in two areas. The groove that goes around the aerator is wrong. It goes straight into the aerator slot and continues on the next side. Also the teeth are usually way thicker than necessary. But I think they’ve changed that to be more accurate as of late with the newer ones. But as stated above Cardinal is TFA so need the TFA helmet, cod, TD markings and if you’re really picky the forearm tops are different and the attachment method for all the parts are butt joints rather than overlapping as in TLJ also love to see more of the armor in better pics. It honestly kinda looks more like an 850 kit than KB. But idk need to see more to really know

  7. I recently posted two videos on how I assembled the shin of somebody’s armor but I wanted to go ahead with a different skill which is how to do basic painting. I painted a button plate and wanted to talk through how I go about it because I think it turned out pretty well

  9. Hmm... glad I have some choices! @gmrhodes13, thanks for all the links! Looks like folks really like Nomex except for the hand plate attachment issues (sounds like E-6000 with latex plates is the way to go). @shashachu Yeah, you're right that HD seems to only have the ridged ones (and not at the fingertips). I do still have my plastic hand guards from the WTF kit, but I would have to trim them down and add straps. I'm thinking I can probably get the Nomex gloves by tomorrow, then see if the WTF handplates can work for all FIVE of my troops this weekend! If I'm brave enough, I might try to cut the latex handplates off the old pair and put them on the new ones before the next troop this Friday. @shashachu looks like we don't have any troops together this weekend

  10. That looks to be a TLJ helmet as it has the teeth and pointier Jib. Cardinal is TFA era so you will need a different helmet by the looks.

  23. Final helmet update: The imperial cog is my favorite emblem and I thought it would look nice on the side of the blast shield. A sticker might have been the easiest way, but it needed to be heavily worn off. That required more work… Okay, here we go... A plaque was required, as this helmet will be in my RS collection and there it would look odd without it. The layout is close to the original RS plaques and I weathered it to match the style of this bucket. This project was planned for winter 2020/2021 and now comes to an end. Building something outside the CRL restrictions was indeed real fun. Would I do it again? Yes! It was more difficult than a normal helmet (oh wonder) but worth the effort. Maybe I would use a little brighter kind of green (like TS-5, TS-28 or even TS-78). And I would add an aiming device on the right eye. It still hurts to not have it. Anyway, it was a fun journey and I really enjoyed to run a build thread again. Many thanks to everyone here for reading and commenting. Actually I wanted this post to end with a 360 degrees video of the helmet with all lights on. Sounds easy, but after 13 takes I still ended up with issues on lighting, auto-focus and a wobbly rotation. So instead, I now close it with the final list of modifications and a few pictures: 1 - Blast Shield 2 - Black Interior 3 - Two-tone paint job 4 - Antenna and radio 5 - Utility belt 6 - Universal supply box 7 - Bacta canister (illuminated) 8 - Helmet flashlights 9 - Breathing tube 10 - Kill marks 11 - Aurebesh letterings 12 - Imperial cog on blast shield 13 - Skull face 14 - Weathering and paint chips 15 - ‘flesh wound with guts‘ 16 - Greeblies 17 - Blaster marks 18 - Helmet stand with customized display plaque Have a nice weekend Troopers and Cadets.
