  2. Hi Max, and thank you for your application for ANH Stunt Centurion! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of CENTURION #499. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. To start out, we would like to say a big THANKS to both you and Justin for jumping on the requested fixes. They came out amazing (especially tapering those forearms) and you should be proud of the final look all that hard work gave to your armor... I know we certainly are! The only suggestion we have is that you might want to consider lowering your biceps and forearms a bit if possible. I know you are a taller trooper, but if this is possible it would decrease the gap between your wrist openings and hand guards. And that's it, brother... welcome to the ranks, and extra kudos for making it into the "Original 500"! WAY TO GO! Side note- When you chose your FISD screen name, did you have a plan to be Centurion # 499?

  3. Agreed! There is even a cachet to being the 501st if you miss the 500th

  4. Congratulations Grave! It is such an achievement. As Centurion #488, I can say to anyone thinking of embarking on either a new build or upgrades in order to reach the certification, just go for it! The process of researching designs, techniques, materials and mods (if required) to build a set of TK ANH Centurion armour gave me a comprehensive understanding of building armour in general, as well as an appreciation for the fine details that entail EIB and Centurion status. This is experience I will take into my next build, and the next, and so on. Sent from my Imperial Comlink

  6. Hey troopers, I’m pleased to say that we successfully completed our 12 hour gaming livestream, on Facebook and YouTube, and had some great support. We raised a total of £325 for the MNDA (motor neurone disease Association), and hopefully a lot more awareness of this cruel disease. Here’s some of the photos from the event, before, during and after. A HUGE thank you to all of those that liked, commented, donated and/or shared.

  10. After intense weeks of work deadlines... finally had the time and energy to work on the modifications (and catch up some sleep) over the Easter weekend. I must admit, I did felt the pressure of the other guys getting approved while I was itching to finish my work... So here are the photos for your consideration (fingers crossed): Pencil marks removed in the vocoder: Ab Button Panel trimmed and buttons repainted: Hand guards repainted: Back lower ridges of thighs sealed with abs paste:

OK troopers, this is nail-biting time. We are down to only 2 spots left in order to be in the Original 500 Centurions, and we have one in the review process.

  12. Hello, Everyone! I'm one of the newbies around here and if you've read my introduction bio over on the "NEW GUY" thread, you might remember that I'm on a personal quest to lose some weight and get healthier. The other day I met my first goal and officially hit 25lbs lost! My goal is to get to around 210-215 or so, starting from about 283lbs, just this spring. I'm just under 6' tall and of pretty stocky build. I think if I lose my gut and improve my physique around my chest and back, I can make this white armor stuff look pretty good! All this is just another incentive to hit my goals. I'm committed and excited to continue my journey and thought I'd reward myself for my first 25 lbs by ordering an ARMOR MASTER helmet kit (currently v4.5) from Dave at Dave's Darkside Depot. Dave sent a brown box right away, following my payment and it came pretty quickly. Since this was my very first order and all I've seen of these white plastic pieces was from pictures online, I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to receive. Dave's Darkside Depot came highly recommended by a friendly gentleman I met on Facebook. He told me that AM armor was cut generous enough for a bigger guy if I needed it to be. I had been doing my research and found the RS Propmasters guys in the UK and watched their entire library of build thread videos on YouTube. I just think it would be cool to just go hangout with those guys for a week and be a blast! I learned a lot there and I liked the idea of an authentic reproduction from an actual screen used armor set. But after a few Q&A sessions with my Facebook friend referral source, I thought I'd start giving the AM armor a serious look. I could find a few good threads to read up on, but some were outdated and didn't offer a whole lot of great photos on what this stuff was really like. So I thought I'd dip my toe in the water and take a chance with Dave's Darkside Depot and the Armor Master line and see for myself what all this was about. With this thread, I hope to document and give the beginner a good sense of what exactly this helmet kit is all about with some quality photo documentation. Let me say that I am waaay impressed with what I got from Dave's Darkside Depot. The v4.5 AM helmet is much better than I had hoped for! The quality is there for sure. I can't wait to get the rest of the AM armor (with my continued success in health goals) and work towards acceptance with the 501st, FISD and my local garrison. Hope these photos are helpful! This is my first attempt at attaching photos.

  17. Isn't THAT an understatement!?! I see so many of these dug up photos of the screen used stuff and cringe at the thought of posting pics of work like that as my own. The images and the armor shows it age, but so many of us new guys are striving for outright perfection that in comparison to the screen used stuff, ours looks TOO GOOD! Richard, you are doing excellent work that even this OCD new builder appreciates. Keep it up, my friend! I'm also working on an ESB armor set, but from AM, here in the States. Needing badly to start my own build (progress) thread and share some of my photos as well. Enjoy the journey.

  18. Hey troopers Myself and my good friend Rough Dimon, and some other friends along the way, will be gaming and live-streaming from 12pm til 12am on Good Friday, April 2nd, to raise money and awareness for this disease and the MND charity. So, why are we doing this... A trooper friend of mine is bravely working his way through the challenges brought to him through motor neurone disease. Despite the changes that this has made to his day to day life, he still manages to support others with positivity and kindness and is a true inspiration to myself and others. He knows who he is. If you would like to watch the stream, or donate any amount, large or small, we’d appreciate your support. I will stream on my personal Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/daniel.branton.186 My friend will stream to YouTube: https://youtube.com/c/RoughDimon https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cableguydan
