Hi Stuart, Looking great. :-) Sadly, we are unable to process EIB or Centurion applications with any kind of decal, including the UKG shoulder bell decal. If we could kindly ask for arms down pictures without the decal, we’ll be good to go with your app. Thanks in advance, Dan1 point

Keep up the great work trooper! Are you wearing a harness system or a belt with suspenders - they may be what’s causing your thighs to ride high.1 point

Alright friends, as my final trick I just submitted my Centurion application, and the day was also topped off by a birthday cake my girlfriend made me today. Thought I might share a picture of that as well as it's kinda forum-related.. (you can also tell she helped me with lots of my build by the details she managed to put into this cake ) Thanks for reading, thanks for following! Freddy1 point

Current colour on the scope looks very good to me. No wrinkle paint recommended for this part. A flat black finish is common for the scopes, but looking at original scopes I think a semi-gloss (or even gloss) black really works better.1 point

I see Centurion in your future. Walt makes a great kit! I also used the soft side of velcro in my bucket. Going around padding and such. It came in handy with placing electronics. Especially easy when I switched to a single pole double throw switch and added two extra batterys for fans. Looking foward to seeing your progress!1 point

That's a nice Blue! I did the same for scratches. I used a cut off pc. of coverstrip. The corner worked great and took paint off nicely.1 point

Hi there. I know thus is an old thread. This person goes by another name as well and located in texas. His stormtrooper armor is made from fiberglass. Anyone else wants to chime.1 point

Looking good mate! Yeah, I'd drop the thighs a touch. Let's have a look at those thighs from the back before you cut anything [emoji846] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk1 point

Hey everyone, so i was just wondering about the helmet trim. I have circled one of the images by Christopher Pearson on Flickr from the Rogue One Stormtrooper Reference CE 2016. I think there is a visible seam which leads me to believe it is a rubber seal similar to that used in ANH builds. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk1 point

Didn’t take it that way either I’m all for scrutinizing but I also want it to be consistent that’s why I raised the question and the suggestion for a check list1 point

Hello Sir No apologies needed and showing all the aspects of the armor including basic requriments help others whom are not that frequent looking through build threads. So I’m only raising this for clarity and future reference and to suggest that we make a photo list that includes a motivation as to why the applicant needs to include the photos asked for. Perhaps start a new topic in attache HQ and see what can be done?1 point

Here are some pictures of the shade of gold I have on my scope right now - what do you guys think? I am also wondering, does the scope have wrinkle paint to look like the real deal or is it just flat black? Sent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk1 point

Here is the scope body with both end pieces in place...primed in grey paint and ready for gold paint! I will try a rose hued gold as I remember reading that the real deal isn't that attractive of a gold color. Hope it turns out good, update shortly!!! Sent from my SM-G390W using Tapatalk1 point

In general that's just an assembly difference. The face plate is pulled separately from the cap and back. Depending on how the brow was trimmed and bolted up (and how rushed the build was) you get a number of different looks. This is further exacerbated by the fact the left image is a hero helmet and the right a (sandtrooper) stunt and one well know for a large gap. The hero face plates are different, but I've heard multiple explanations as to why. As for which is right? All of them. If you're building a hero you'll want no gap, a "move along" sand trooper, a big and lopsided one. Generic TK? probably somewhere in the middle but really it's up to you.1 point

I finally received some magnets I ordered from ebay and got started with gluing. I've started with the forearms, and right off the bat had trouble with trying to hold the two pieces together with one hand while applying clamps with the other. Also, the split between the pieces kept getting bigger when I put on the clamp. I figured out that part of the problem was that the clamps themselves were too wide and were pushing the pieces apart. Cutting down the clamps with scissors helped with that issue. Then I found that I could run a piece of stronger masking tape down the inside of the seam and that held everything together nicely, allowing me to use two hands for the rest of the operation. I bundled up my magnets in cloth sachets like I saw on a post here in the FISD forum, and glued my first piece together! I tried to clean up the excess glue that squeezed out of the joint, but I am a little concerned that my clamps are going to get glued to the armor...1 point

Did not got to do much today, disassembled the helmet partially to install the SHA. Drilled the holes in the rank bars and the holes for the microphones in the side, unfortunately one side did not cooperate and I had to redo some of the plasti dip, which is now drying. I glued on the rest oft the sniper plate and I am very curious how it will turn out. I did a first partial fitting today, obviously without the left shin. First with now shins at all and than with the right, to see how big the gap between shin and thigh is. Excuse the crappy pictures I had to use a propped up mirror again.... Therefore no pictures from the back. With right shin (yes it is the right, keep in mind, mirror) Pressing the thigh down to how mich I think I have to extend the elastics. Now with gloves: I need to do some pictures of the back but I fear, this will not happen before the weekend. From what I saw, I am inclined to leave the thighs as they are right now. I don't want to loose to much at the top, as I fear it will be to much of a black gap. Would that be okay for Centurion?1 point
