Another phrase that should be familiar, as we see it fairly often in Legion. We also see "FISD" in Aurebesh somewhat often. The bottom word is only one letter off. T is upside down in Aurebesh. It's a down arrow basically. I is a 1. S is used often. It's an arrow pointing down to the right. F is upside down and slightly stylized. --------- More tomorrow.

I started posting these on the FISD Discord server and thought I might share them here on the forum as well. Discord makes sharing images really easy since you don't need to host them, but I can just throw these on imgur about as easy. But I digress. Lesson 1: a phrase most are likely familiar with. L, O, and N are very easy in Aurebesh, since they're so similar to English. L and N are backwards and O is a round triangle. G is laying on it's side. V is a Y in Aurebesh.

It sounds like you are welcome to form a fire team, but the terms "Red Fury" and "709th Legion" would not be acceptable for inclusion in the name, as they are in use by D/LFL.

To access forum merchandise you must request higher forum access below, instructions in first post. NOTE you must log into the detachment forum at least once per year annually and keep your access. Affiliation on your legion profile is more to do with voting, usually this is an automated process each year before election cycle begins.

Hi there, I was unable to see the new racing shirt merch run info, and noticed my affiliation still shows as 'pending'. Could someone help me with that pls? I received my approval & TK ID in Dec. '23 so didn't complete the 2023 census - unsure if that's relevant or not?? Do I need to update anything in that section of my profile? My first troop wasn't until Jan. this year. My email address here was different to my 501st / Nightfall Garrison account, so I have updated them both to be the same. Cheers. Ian

I saw a few sales happening from the various vendors so if you managed to pick up a deal make sure to show us your progress here on the forum. This month has seen significant progress on 2 CRLs with both Imperial Armored Commando and Captain Enoch closing in on a chance for a new First in Legion Kudos. CRLs are a community effort, and all are welcome to come and join in on creating them. Even a spelling check is welcome and given who's writing them I am sure there will be a few! Over the years FISD has built up a number of incentive programs to help motivate and reward those who go the extra mile. Some have been very successful, the EIB and centurion programs, the attachés who represent us to their local garrisons, and emerging the Valkyries who represent our female and female presenting members. Others have not had the impact hoped, and either need a bit of a rework or some more promotion. The staff have been looking at revamping one of these, and hopefully will be in a position to announce some of this soon. I would also like to draw your attention to the 3D Contributor Program. There is no denying that 3D modelling and printing has completely changed the costuming world. From simple small parts all the way to complete weapons and costumes. Here are FISD we are no different and already a have a lot of parts available for members to download and print themselves. If you have something you have designed and are willing to contribute to other members then maybe an award will be coming your way. And finally the new 2024 racing shirt run is now live. These runs are not a small amount of work for the DMBO, or anyone who helps with them. This was compounded this year as we needed to request permission from every single unit commander to be able to use their logos on the sleeve, not a small task. These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on.
