  1. First off not a bad looking lid mate.I have tryed to put in picture style how your face and back go together.hope this helps. I would leave no gap for the brow trim,it will squeeze in.trust me ive made a few lids in my time The other thing you could do (up to you) is send it to one of the reg UK guys on here all are sound blokes and im sure they will build it for you,and i bet my bottom dollar no one would take a penny for there time! You need to match the pictures i have used to see what i have trimmed off the back and cap.The face has been left as is thats fine.I would trim the eyes and teeth before putting the back and face together, good luck with your lid.
  2. Ive always had scratch built,PVC pipe resin and scratch parts.Enjoyed the builds plus nice for trooping light etc.But......... Hyperfirm would be on top of my wish list as far as blasters goes.
  3. Well heres a picture to put on your wall mate, and again a very well done .BTW whats R2 like at making coffee.
  4. That was a no brainer,Congratulations mate.Get some pro pictures done the suit is worth it.
  5. I also use the Extreme racing suit .i have two, one a one piece with logo got it before they did the stormtrooper version, and a two piece. Both are fantastic.Non shine lycra cotton mix ideal for both hot and cold troops,a troopers must have item.
  6. Ive got a picture of the inside of my wallet, not may folk get to see that! Or better still the set for stun lid. to start the ball rolling
  7. I just put finger prints all over my monitor screen, ohh the love i have for these things is unhealthy! top job mate as always
  8. The other thing that stands out are the stunt HPDE lids and the hero ABS lids. You can see that the painted stunts do not match the non painted armour very clearly. Also guys grab a role of gaffa tape and go mad.I know on trooper among us who embraces the screen look lock stock and barrel (fireblade) scratched, gaffa taped armour, and i must say it looks fantastic.
  9. I know we have seen these sorts of pictures 1000 times over (most of us) and have an extensive portfolio of screen caps on our hard drives.Just thought for the few that have not i would grab some reasonable size pics of stormtrooper details. The trouble i found going through the film and never struck me before doing this, was stormtroopers just seem to run around alot (all the time). They just dont stand still long enough to grab a good shot,or there coming through blaster smoke. Anyway some we have all seen before some are new hope this starts 2010 off well for us screen junkies. Hi-ish rez screen grabs Some examples Enjoy
  10. Thank you also Gary,I have been without the internet for several months and have been unable to contribute the back end of last year as much as i would have liked. Its great to be back full time! BTW credit were credits due Panda, things dont go unnoticed round these parts ,congats
  11. Hi Brian, I spent a day with Mark (Firebladejedi) over christmas and saw your book on the side table, once i started to read it i was hooked and a very Unsociable guest.Thank you for recording the story behind our iconic film figures.Plus your story leading up to and beyond.

  14. It might feel odd,but its far from looking that way Tim.great job and like you have already said just the loose ends to take care off and your ready for duty sir. Fantastic build and glade you took your time .
  15. Mine have just hit the tarmac,i cant add any more to what has been said already about the service from these guys.E-mail reply within an hour and full shipping tracking, not forgeting the quick turn around of my order (within 5 days international) Happy trooper feet.
  16. I've had the Privilege of owning an FX,RT-MOD AP and two TM suits.I have enjoyed everyone of them.I have also spent many an hour sharing other folks builds who share there Experiences with there journey,I also look to others for help and knowledge far greater than mine in this subject of (STORMTROOPER) If i had wanted to build my AP kit ROTJ style i would have overlapped all the parts,i did not.I wanted a ANH looking suit so i butt jointed with the ANH finishing strip. That's all i have to say in this thread other than the good lord gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason.
  17. wow good spot.I really like this type of thread, gets the old brain going!
  18. Way back before the films were made Ralph McQuarrie was Commissioned for the concept artwork .This is hes stormtrooper with saber in hand.from this and many other paintings the characters were sculpted and brought to life . With the force sensitive troopers things have come full circle. Have i ever said" i would love to own this armour".
  19. primer is a little more forgiving than top coat paint.I sand after an hour with primer , or just follow the instructions on the can mate. I have always put anything by for 24 hours before the top coat goes on.Then its thin coats about 5-10 minutes between coats ,then just put the thing on a shelf for a week.that way the paint is fully cured and ready for anything you through at it.
  20. Why dont you just ask RT for a sheet of ABS?
  21. nice one mate, its about time you got back into armour.Do you still think you are getting your DL suits?
  22. Just reported it as well lol
