  1. I have used the link tutorial,in addition good old chalk pastels from any art shop.Rub them on with finger, use sandpaper on them to create a powder and sprinkle as much or as little as you like. This then blends the colours of the base weathering and does not need fixing with hair spray. For scratch marks use rubber helmet trim ,cut a one inch piece and strick it on your armour, leaves a nice black mark on edges or high spots and does not scratch because its rubber.A nice Subtle touch.
  2. Here you go,this is how most of the MEPD guys weather there suits WEATHERING TUTORIAL Hope this helps
  3. TD = sandtrooper TK= stormtrooper The TD did not have the canister on there belt Its the TK that uses the canister .
  4. AND HERE HE IS today........NOTHING CHANGES DOES IT!
  5. this stuff melts the two sufaces together,it is a little thicker than water ,so what you do is hold the two parts of ABS together use a small brush loaded with the stuff and apply round the join.As it is like water it runs round the join and 10 seconds later you have a purfect finish. It drys almost as soon as you put it on,almost evaporates leaves no colour nothing to say you were there. DO NOT LOAD YOUR SMALL BRUSH TO MUCH<IT WILL RUN PAST THE JOINS AND IF YOUR FINGER GETS IN THE WAY OF THE RUN IT WILL LEAVE A FINGER PRINT. Just try it on some scrap first. Its all over eBay.ABS GLUE or weld.
  6. Its a form of ABS glue.It is very liquid ,i press the two parts together then run the glue round the edges with a small brush loaded with the weld solution. It runs round the joint 10 seconds and you have a rock solid weld.Meaning the two surfaces have become one by melting them together.

  8. yes mate i have painted the whole of my FX suit with KRYLON FUSION ,and yes you can get hold of it in the United Kingdom.I used Gloss white with no sanding or primer .All i did after it had set for a few days was give it a buff with a car polish job done,no fuss no nasty mess and good covering power.I converted a TK set to TD so had lots of mods with differant shades of ABS.Heres the link to the only UK suplyer of KRYLON.Shipping a little on the high side but worth it for a good finish,i sugest you get three cans of gloss white. ------
  9. Great to see, thanks for your time in putting this together.I am building my first set as we speak, could do with Wils help .
