  2. Ok mate, theres just two.I think the shoulder bell tops need to sit higher so theres no gap from the shoulder bridges and the bells. Your biseps are also to high. The black elastic that goes round your arms should sit on at the bottom of the open u shape of the biceps ,there shouls be almost 3/4 showing out the bottom of the bells. Thats about the only things, chest looks spot on with good space from the ab buttons, and the legs thighs look nice and high. Have you got a stap from your cod to the butt (between your legs lol) that will help stabilize the lower armour.
  3. Terry almost there mate just some adjustements on the straps from what i can see. A tip for the TD that will help is to shape the strips like this. The picture is from my old RT-MOD kit,but i will do the same for the AP.The velcro is just to save the ABS from scratches and cannot be seen from the outside. The shape of the strips stops the TD from riding up off the belt,it sort of clamps the belt at the bottom.
  4. de Havilland Mosquito If it was one of these then thats got to hurt
  5. Plenty of pictures on the forum heres one link from TK2416 ------------ Hope that helps
  6. lol i can see the shark fins circling you now, careful or you might get bit if you start by banding that sort of cash about.remember its unwise to spend to little but on the other hand its unwise also to spend to much.Go put a grand in the bank and the other have fun with your TK.
  7. use white velcro for starters,it will take your eye from the gap.
  8. I think these threads are great, everyone open minded on the subject in hand.Top bloke Steve and thanks for getting my old brain cells working.
  9. I dont agree with the way this sort of advice is given with no explanation.hes chest looks fine not to low and not over the buttons. If it aint broke dont fix it.
  10. OK this is the only other configeration i can come up with to sit inside the blue lines.Someone folded the loops over on themselves.left became right and right left. Great subject, just dont waste too much leather on it.You could make a run of ANH holsters .I will take one from you.
  11. Terry just swap the knee detail to the other shin then your sorted. Hope this helps
  12. Very nice lid, come on spill the beans what you up to now in numbers.
  13. Im sorry mate but i think its a pinched holster were the ESB loops have just moved toether. Heres my evidence
  14. sorry Terry, you should have dropped me a line about your shins mate.as nothing is marked up for us builders and everything is a mess with the AP kit as Paul said its a commen mistake. I just dont know were this hype started about the AP kit being the dogs b,i think we all should take our rose coloured specs off and see it for what it is.(A money making machine) I will update my picture library to state what Paul has pointed out with a diagram of some sort.Look foward to the pictures.
  15. I feel like giving up on the trim lines with the AP kit.Nothing lines up anyway! But saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel if you plan your attack. Link to my build there may be something in there that might help you. STUKATROOPERS AP BUILD Im updating every day.
  16. yes i did use that word once or twice lol, must come up with another ?????
  17. Sorry mate if you want it doing properly your going to have to go shopping for some rivets maybe a rivet gun drill and drill bit. Follow my TD BUILD you should be well in theres a section for the thermal detonator.
  18. Ok terry i have updated my AP build library and also added words to the pictures now.heres the link hope it helps. STUKATROOPERS AP BUILD 2008 Lots of work is going to have to be put into this mate best of luck.
  19. Thats nothing mate, just wait till you start on the arms and legs missfits on every part.very poor kit for the £££ $$$ A great deal of modelling skill is needed to sort what should have been right in the first place.
  20. Just push the inner lid area with your fingers, the plastic will flex enough for you to get the nut on (JUST). Once you have half a turn hold the nut and use a screwdriver,it will do up no prob.Dont go over tight though.
  21. Do you know all the time ive been looking at screen lids and the countless pictures i have of them i never clocked that STS only had three teeth . I have to agree that pulling the face down closes the head gap, i trimmed around the inside rim to make it pass my ears about 10mm round the back and sides leaving the front. Looking forward to you finished new lid Liz. If you take your ears off ,leaving the hidden screw and tilt the face forward first off seeing how that looks. If all ok the only new holes will be for the ears. On lids i have altered in the past i have always filled the holes with ABS plugs and plastic weld, i know you cant see them once its all back together but thats just me
  22. Yep you sure are, thats all spot on mate.not sure what the other guys are on about! Everything looks great belt boxes all in the right place and nice fitting suit. the only thing would be to fix the holster riveting it behind the canvas.
  23. OK heres my AP with no trimming of the cap .I have still Achieved the stunt look i was after by positioning the face plate inside the cap.I did not use the suggested drill holes on the lid. All decals are hand painted (exept the tube strips) ,thanks Liz for your inspiration on that part. Sorry about the hijack
  24. You DO NOT need to cut anything off the cap and back for a higher brow. Its how you position the face plate within the cap and back. Get that right and you will not have to spoil the shape of the cap.I will post pictures latter on this thread if thats ok with LIZ
  25. WOW Dan you watch your fingers on those pulls, theres some real SHARP detail in there.Like what im seeing.
