Liz glad you got you lense.Simon yours is in the post. You will have to trim each end to shape to go round the nuts you are not using.I would go for the top or middle ones. Mark the centre of the lense length and bend inside the lid only make the screw hole in one side and put over screw.push and bend the lense to shape over the eyes and then mark the other side for a nice tight fit. Onces its all screwed into place slid the thin green material between the lid and lense for a real cool look in any light. You can also trim both bits to shape at the centre to miss your nose, but not to much. Hope that makes some sense.

Top Job there, the blaster looks well at home with that holster of yours.Nice work trooper. -
Just remember Liz stormtroopers are shaky with a blaster as well ,so it only follows that a paint brush in hand will be no different . Had a bad monday today ,long hours at work.So your lens pack never got to the post office ,but its ready to go tomorrow tuesday

Nice score Lizzeh, and looks like you got the eyes trimmed spot on.I have helped a few troopers out with a strip of dark green face shield here in the UK. PM me if you would like some no glue needed it uses the screws inside the lid.

TE2 - TK-2416's armor build[*TE]
stukatrooper replied to a topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
The weathering needs to be 60% less mate. Also your Ab,cod is to high and your belt is to low.Have a one to one with Rolf im sure he will help you iron out these little teething problems. Im sure you dont mind me pointing these things out to make your suit 100% its alot more constructive than the (WOW,YERRRR,GREAT YOU ROCK ) posts Overall a real sold build keeping everthing close to the orig with the leg and arm strips. -

Tan straps are good,No rivets on stitch corners. The only thing i can see is that the bottom should be open not stiched. -

Nice one so far, but i would have left the front strip shorter on the lower front if you are going for an Original suit look looking foward to seeing more. -
Treat it like ABS but just be a little more gentle with it.The HIPS will not flex as much as ABS.Keep away from the dremel. Take a look at my TM build if you havnt already lots of questions answered for you. STUKATROOPERS TM BUILD

Stealth trooper muaahahhahahah!!!!
stukatrooper replied to TK-4510's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Fantastic way out of your dilemma Chris and nice paint job Mike. The black i bet has the same shine level as the white pro paint but black believe it or not, reflects more light than white so looks far more glossy.White is almost a see through colour (if you can call it a colour) black is more a solid colour . The end result is this bling bling lid, whats going to set your amour alight Chris, really happy for you mate. -
Most accurate armour
stukatrooper replied to trooper01's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
I beg to differ that the RT is just for the big boned. It will fit a mouse or a house it just depends on how you build and trim your armour suit. Im 5'7" bare foot with a 30" waist and owned an RT set,it was great no problem for my size.Ive had FX and that was also fine.I own a set of TM now and again fits like a glove exept i would say the legs, but a very small fix with trimming the backs so that i can bend my legs. You need to know yourself well. The parts that need your close attension are the legs upper and the cod everything else on all sets should fit fine on almost everyone. There are 1000 fixes on this forum for almost every parts of your suit or suit to be.Read, read read short cuts are not the answer.be a sponge and soak up the info all about you its a great book with many many Authors. -
As you might know the clone helmets have such a small opening to get your head in and out.to get round this i just unscrewed my head and left it in there.
-
im not the tallest trooper in town at 5'7" no shoes. My boots have insoles inside which takes me to 5'9" lol ,a little more respectable.

That would be my aim super T.The holster is there funny that its not in shot.Anyway i gave up on the whole idea of 501st pictures today, light not great .So it ended up as a bit of fun. Will get someone to take my 501st pics later in the week.

Ive been home all day today and took the new suit off the Mannequin for some pictures ready for my 501st registration. This went ok at first got my green screen up on the wall set the camera up sort of and poped the suit on. now this is were it started to go wrong.First off i couldnt see a thing with the helmet on to set the timmer and every time i managed to hit the shot button i moved the camera. after a few goes i got it sorted, camera pressed ready for the shot "now did i set the timmer right, better check " CLICK GOES THE CAMERA SHUTTER . After some time and the radio and TV turned off so i could hear the beeps of the timmer on the camera i got a shot. No David Bailey but i had something to work with,i put everything away before i lost my cool and spent some time in photoshop. next time have someone to take the pictures.

MR tk helmet comparison pictures
stukatrooper replied to firebladejedi's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
WOW thats a real eye opener. The MR just does not have the look i would be after.there is just something about it i cant put my finger on. You just cant beat the miss shaped curves and bumps that the others have. Thanks for sharing . I think you have the AP spot on followed by the TE2,strange that ive put them in that order coz i would have thought the TE2 would be first.Still there all great just in diferent ways. -
FX chest plate mod
stukatrooper replied to Darth Voorhees's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
wow now that looks so much better, hats off to you for having the balls to go for it.It makes me feel good to know that ive helped out a trooper with the raw edge tip -
send me a PM Simon with your address and i will pop some dark green face shield in the post for you free of charge for a fellow Brit. I use the face shield as shown in the pic using the screws that hold the ears on as a fixing,no heat gun needed as it flexes to the shap of the lid.I pop the thin material in front for a super green effect. No glue needed for this method. No one can see in even with a flash but you can see out very clear. ------------- The two pictures are from my TM lid.

OK try this one for size go buy an E-type jag or Aston Martin, then change all the body panels on them.I somehow dont think that they will end up with the wonderful curves and shapes that make these clasics. Thats what makes the armour my friend and thats why we pay big bucks for it as you put it.I sugest go and make your own set .You dont need detailed measurements for that, you know the size of your own leg and arms etc and have been given plenty of likes to how it looks. The stormtrooper as 90% of use here know has been a piece of movie magic and has become an icon over its 30 year history. We love the misshaped curves and subtle shapes to it. good luck with you project

What to do with my Thigh Pieces
stukatrooper replied to alaskaguy's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
OK Jon,thanks for taking my post as it was ment to be read.Looks like you got the front spot on. What i would do is leave the back not trimming anything from it.run some velcro down each side on the outside and cut out a plastic shape to cover the gap. It isnt going to be pretty but will work, also if you ever wanted to sell on the armour you could without the new owner having to mod the thighs even more. -
What to do with my Thigh Pieces
stukatrooper replied to alaskaguy's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I dont want to throw water on your fireworks but if i were you i would find someone to help you with this build close to your home. Im sure as you have a TE2 that there will be some willing hands at your door if you asked. This sort of kit if for the more seasoned builder, with one or two kits under there belt. There are no trim lines to cut to as you have found. Im not trying to put your skills down but the alarm bells rang out for me when you asked about trimming the shoulder bells. this kit can look fantastic for you, i know everyone wants it to turn out that way for you. -
