  1. I have just posted similar on the 501st, if we need a better more specific rule.in the charter then we need to.propose one. A much more pro-active way forward. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
  2. Sorry I have not been on here in a while and have only just read all of this. I realise that we have been asked not to involve 'garrison politics' however many have called our stance into question. Please feel free to move or delete this if it is not appropriate. The thread was removed into the COG area on our forum because I personally received a call enquiring as to who these people were? I stated that they were not our members and that I had no particular information about those in the fb thread. My personal views or those of any member of UKG staff have had nothing to do with the thread being moved for our CoGs to discuss. This is about protecting our garrison and our relationship. Unfortunately the unintended consequence of this has been bringing information to the attention of those perhaps we would prefer not to involve or inform. Whereas we are passionate about the who did what and why there are others out there interested in protecting their brand and IP. For the record not one UKG member has contacted me personally to ask, even those that have my personal number. On a personal level I have posted my own views on the 501st thread which you are welcome to read. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk
  3. No argument here Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  4. TM uses stelmax nowadays which is what was used to glue the original suits. We live in a very strange world where McDonald's have to warn us in writing that their Hot Apple Pies are hot I'm not in the least surprised that we have now added E6000 to the long list of banned products here. As has been said like anything else if used correctly, with gloves and proper ventilation I believe it is fine but that choice has now been removed here. Now to find a good replacement. 6. I was one of those charged with answering questions durung the recall Mark so what did I hide? I did not st it was about swag, please check you facts. Now as far as I am concerned you are baiting which is against the rules could a mod please address this. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  7. Mark your comments imply you have a personal grudge and to be honest are really quite rude. You seem to have your own agenda and despite the fact the recall was overwhelmingly supported by the general membership you seem to imply that the UKG did something wrong. By the way if you had read it more thoroughly you would know it was never about free stuff it was about the 501st being able to independently run troops and raise money for charity amongst many other things. Always important to get you facts straight buddy. As CO of the UKG I was one of those that led the recall and put my name to it and I will happily defend my position and reasoning any time you care to, however I suggest you place that on the 501st forum not in a detachment or indeed in a PM. The UKG have always, even before membership of the 501st, had high standards and it is our opinion that you do not see a TK in the movie without a blaster therefore, local laws permitting, it makes sense that it should be a requirement. Thus far this has not been an issue with our members. And in answering your question how is that UKG policy helping a trooper? It is helping them be more accurate, which is the thing we in the UKG strive for. Mark please feel free to complain to whomever you wish my friend. Mcott65 Mark- if you need any help or if you have any problems please feel free to drop me a line or ask any of our armourers buddy Looking forward to trooping with you! Don't be put off by the above the FISD is a great and friendly place and full of great info and help. And as Mathias will confirm it owes a lot to members of the UKG, myself included, who for many years pushed the boundaries and helped raise the bar for all whilst educating and helping others so that become achievable for all those that wanted to reach those levels.
  8. Wow that is upsetting- have you contacted the RS boys and let them know- I'm sure they will help you out
  9. Ok it may have been a mistake or an oversight but the intention was good. I have always celebrated the FiSD for its constant drive to strive for accuracy. Personally I think it is right to have the appropriate pack to make the costume correct it should not be about making parts interchangeable. Sure use parts for other costumes if they are correct but not just because it is cheap or convenient. Going back would be the bigger fail in my opinion. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. Seriously have you got nothing better to do than snipe and try to cause dissent. If you have something to say that you can back up with evidence then feel free otherwise I suggest you stop flaming and go away. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. Bottom line here is an ex DL has stated as a fact that TM is not a fan sculpt and shouuld not be reported as such. At no point does he justify or qualify his statement with 'in my opinion' Rob you then continue in the same manner again spouting an opinion as if it is fact. Yes you are entitled to an opinion but remember it is just that an opinion. It has no place in a factual thread without evidence. I would like to deal in facts not opinions. Please as I have suggested once before put up or shut up. Paul has stated he sculpted the armour himself. It is not acceptable behaviour to call another member a liar without evidence to back up the accusation and should be considered flaming which as I am sure you are both aware is against the rules of this forum. Paul as ex DL I ask that you recognise this and apologise. Rob I ask that you do the same.
  12. Paul and Rob. The burden of proof is on the accuser and not on the accused. As you both seem to agree there is no conclusive proof in these accusations I strongly suggest that you both keep your opinions to yourselves. I prefer to ignore hearsay and conjecture or rumours and chose to take a skilled artist at his word. I guess what I am saying, in the nicest possible way you understand, is put up or shut up. 13. Paul I ask this with the utmost respect and am in no way trying to flame or cause bad feeling. Have you got 100% conclusive evidence of what you are stating with regard to your comments about the origins of Paul's helmet and armour? I have heard smatterings of this in the past and personally do not believe it to be true. I would ask that you either put forward your evidence or remove the comments. Accusing someone of recasting is a very serious matter and although Paul is not a 501st member per se you are and this is not in keeping with what is in the charter.
  14. Really. When stukatrooper, myself and another UKG trooper met a bunch of the original troopers the one thing most of them had in common was they were all short Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
