  1. The "holster" is a raised ~210x30mm area with some slots for screws to hook into. It isn't an actual holster in the traditional sense... more like those cellphone belt clips.
  2. I think he says that because they don't come with real screws. Just drill some holes and you should be good to go.
  3. Sounds like I missed some drama, I'd love a FO coin though. Quick/cheap suggestion: add a FOTK to the available background image choices in the forum theme?
  4. Mine is 210mm long (and about 20-35mm wide depending on area): (This is R2Dan's metal holster from one of the runs he did a while back, I think he still sells them if you are looking for one.)
  5. Shouldn't be, as one our our DO's is the one who came up with the idea, AFAIK. Just make sure to use a sharpie/paint to black out the cut edges and put some speaker cloth or something behind the slit/holes so you can't see them.
  6. Looks great! Much better than my attempt, but I didn’t have a jig either...
  7. Great work! Good to know the structural bracket is raw aluminum, another thing to note for finishing my build...
  8. So true, I see all my mistakes in my TK.
  9. I’ll take two.
  10. There are screen used helmets like the new paint job FWIW... but it looks better touched up.
  11. What about a FO version of the EI/Centurion certificates?
  12. Looks like you are well on your way and have done your homework. Love that pic of everything rough taped up. If you want/need a stiffer belt there is a guy on here who sells them... but the Anovos belts look a lot better than they used to.
  13. I can measure mine later, if nobody else sees this before then.
  14. Last I heard (couple weeks ago) they were still having some real-life stuff to deal with.
  15. Seems like overkill for an OT TK. Harder to fit to the wearer, harder to finish, harder to meet L3 (those drop boxes are solid pieces, for instance). And probably, more expensive than vac formed armor. A Rogue One TK? Sure.
  16. ...and if that seems too daunting, you can replace them with straps from another maker like ATA.
  17. You can tighten the strap (nylon or elastic) that connects your shoulder bells to the chest-to-back elastic. If that doesn't work you can also try removing the return edge on the shoulder.
  18. Awesome, have fun with your build. Glad to hear you are going for Centurion, so much easier if you plan to do so from the start.
  19. Sweet. Time to dust off the printer.
  20. If you dry fit the ears its usually pretty easy to tell which side is which, I'm pretty sure the one on the left up there is the left ear.
  21. If you are trying to upload through the forum it has extremely low file size requirements. You are better off using Imgur or one of the other free image hosting services.
  22. I used Rustoleum LeakSeal (their version of Flex Seal), four coats and seems to be holding up so far after a week. Long term results... I don't know.
  23. Shouldn’t the white be gloss? Thought only the black was matte (might even be satin).
