I didn't time it, long enough that my arms felt like they were going to fall off. If you add it all up (I did this over a couple days) probably 2+ hours of sanding.

Darren, your ab rivets look like they could use some paint touch-ups. TD screws look good though!

You should be able polish those scratches out no problem. Question 2 - No return edge. A little bit of curve on the outside where the plastic bent around (where it would have met the edge) is okay but there should be NO inside lip/return edge whatsoever. Question 3 - Gloves, unless you add a liner like some do, add minimal bulk, but I would still do any trimming after buying those just to be safe. FWIW my forearms are snug, I can get them on/off but it is a little tight - but that's the look I wanted. Too big and they look boxy to me.

Take it slow although with ATA armor you are less likely to break them (unlike my paperthin Anovos ones). Also as Mark mentioned if you want screen accuracy you don't need to round the corners - a little to prevent snags is fine, but the key is to be subtle.

No I followed his build pretty much by-the-book, if you take a look at my build thread it is very similar. I did things in a slightly different order though (and worse, first build ever, yay).

Mod what, the Anovos belt? I replaced the canvas portion if that is what you mean. The newer Anovos kits have unassembled belts so you may have more luck if so.

I bought two belts from Imperial Issue as the stock Anovos belt is kinda flimsy and even with mods won’t pass the higher approval levels. My two cents, buy two.

PLA is plenty strong (as long as you don’t go too light on infill) just make sure everything is glued down. The real downsides of 3D printed blasters are more that they can break if dropped and PLA can warp from heat (don’t leave it in a hot car).

Since we've been linking to this HOWTO a lot lately, I would like to add this: PSA: Keep a backup of your images! No one can predict the future, Imgur may not always be around (or may hold your images hostage like Photobucket). That is all.

Imgur is the way to go, the forum has super small attachment limits: You can even resize your images within Imgur.

Have you tried full-strength rubbing alcohol? The grocery store brands are usually not as potent.

I think the current work stalled out over whether the boots/blaster should be red or black, and some other small details like that. I do know there were a couple of people building Cardinals but have not seen much movement the past few months.

TKboots does technically still exist but is letting stock run out, so email beforehand nad make sure they have your size. If not ImperialBoots does have all sizes but they only take orders 1 week each month.

Yes, AM and TM have pretty good bubble lenses - none of them are as good as flat lenses but if you buy a good kit from a good source chances are you'll be okay, and if not you can always swap them out.

Do you have a CNC or laser cutter? You could just get some 1/4" plex and cut out a new one. Barring that, I would try searching for Sterling triggers as that what an E-11 is based off of, or model your own and share it for everyone here.

Watched the first few episodes, not a fan so far. That said... that gold stormtrooper! That almost makes up for the show being such a snoozefest. Anyone know where I can get my FOTK kit goldplated?
