    Resin/plastic should not matter all that much as long as the sizes are close IMO.

    I prefer gaffer tape to painters tape as it holds better, but is still more removeable than scotch/duct tape.

    My only ‘concern’ (as it would only effect us accuracy junkies) is this is ostensibly a TFA kit but that looks like a Last Jedi cod, which may cause issues with L3 out of the box.

    I think it is the same material in both pictures. My hunch is the noise reduction (looks like phone pictures) is knocking down the details.

    That ANH bucket was in terrible shape (missing all the bits basically, plus it is cracked and needs paint), whereas the TLJ one was, other than screen-inflicted damage, pristine.

    They are more like very thick mousepads than foam (at least mine are). They sell ‘em on Amazon for fairly cheap, think I paid 10/15 dollars for a set.

    They sent out an email about a week ago, if you didn't get it read further up the thread. TLDR is that it'll start shipping out by April of next year.

    Sanding is the most work but likely safest, I would worry that any compound that will strip the chrome would warp or otherwise damage the armor.

    Only if they are more than a pencil’s width away - I believe decals were still okay last I checked as long as they look hand painted?

    Pre-trimmed does mean less scraps for making paste unfortunately.

    Not really an update, but I did get some new box bling: On the left is a plaque one of our members made for the local troopers last year that I finally got around to putting on my Husky tote, and the right should be self explanatory... It's nice having friends with laser cutters.
