  1. Just don’t overdo it or you may have issues with approval.
  2. Rat is correct, interior strapping is not covered by the CRL. FYI, it is possible to set snaps using split rivets, here is my armor and the riveted side is detachable:
  3. Hi Robert, welcome aboard and good luck with your build.
  4. A good start. You can buy Centurion-accurate gloves for ~$5 at Home Depot FWIW.
  5. Cool. So... what next? No way you're done.
  6. Can you shoot a side pic or two, that would help us in terms of where it is height wise, center wise it looks good to my eyes.
  7. Hello and welcome Paul!
  8. You’d be amazed at what ABS paste and polish can fix.
  9. Congrats and welcome!
  10. As far as I know, yes, but it sounds like he is slow to respond to emails so I would just keep at it if you haven’t heard back.
  11. I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Lipstick-Sized-Generation-Batteries/dp/B005X1Y7I2 The only thing I don't like is that the power button is hard to reach with it mounted to the helmet, they make a 5000mAh one with the button on the side that is a bit bulkier but may be a better bet.
  12. Hopefully isolated incidents, good that you got your order albeit later than planned. Here’s hoping your garrison mate gets his too.
  13. Great job on your build. Congrats!
  14. Embedded video doesn’t work for me, had to copy/paste the URL, but... wow! Very impressive.
  15. Welcome aboard Alex!
  16. Yeah, already few vendors for FOTKs, things like this just make it worse. Glad you were able to find another route.
  17. I have seen people sew their gaskets to the undersuit to save time kitting up, it is doable but as I still don't have my FOTK yet (thanks, Anovos) I can't comment on which system is "better".
  18. I use ukswrath’s system with an Anker USB power supply and still have quite a bit of room in my bucket, and I have a big head.
  19. I would like to add that your armor may vary slightly in height, the important part is the top and bottom rivets, the middle one should be equidistant from those.
  20. Jason, if you want to head out over the hill the Reno guys will be having an armor party either next month or December and I'd be happy to help.
