The way I do it is to clamp them in place then just get a fine paint brush dip it in some Acetone and touch the brush to the seam. The acetone will run down the seam and should weld the two pieces together. Failing that you could fill the inside of the round part with quick cast resin and inbed a screw in to the resin. Then you can screw it in place without the screw showing on the outside. On the second technique all credit goes to Kieth as I saw his thread on how to do that. Or you could simply superglue them on. The originals were quite craptastic! Hope this helps dude......

In which case you'll need: Burn cream Cotton gloves Only joking, well...................you never know.......

I use a chainsaw. I find the level of control is second to none..... seriously though, I use a mixture of utility knife and snap it along the score line or scissors for cutting plastic , depending what parts I'm cutting. If you have some scrap I suggest trying out all the given techniques and find what works best for you.

there is nothing wrong with tacking it with glue. just a couple of spots is all that's needed. What trim are you using? the sealsdirect stuff should grip it ok without glue....

Cam said that were no handplates with the original suit.....

I'm just ironing out some things with the forming company and not sure if I should alter the inner thigh moulds as alot of guys seem to prefer the swoop on them. I have been through the pics of the original suit that mine was moulded off and there is no swoop. Anyway that's for my own thread......Fil.............You're on the List! They used MGC Sterlings in ROTJ and as far as I know they also used cast ones too.

Good luck mate. To say it's a huge undertaking is a huge understatement! :lol Anyone who has the time, dedication and puts in the effort to create accurate armour moulds has my vote. Trust me I'm there!

Just one word on cost. It's no relation to how much plastic costs or what machinery you use. You have to take into account the many months making the moulds and the cost in doing so. Not forgetting the cost of the suit the moulds came from etc.... I should know I'm doing just that myself. Still doesn't excuse Matt being a thief.
