  1. Very nice! You can't beat the real thing.
  2. It's still in a box! I may get round to finishing it as it's piece of TK history but to be honest I've just bought the CO TK moulds and am releasing my own set of accurate armour with JoeR soon. So the need to finish this hasn't been so important. I plan on making ANH, ESB and ROTJ. We have a few never before released helmets and a suit of armour. I'm just working on the bucks for the former at the mo.
  3. The original helmets never matched the armour anyway as they were made from different plastics and the helmets were painted and the armor was not.
  4. The uneven finish is usually caused from overspray. the overspray drys before it hits the surface creating the dull finish. This is vurtually unavoidable from rattle cans. You will have a nice glossy shine with some areas showing a matt dusty surface. These guys have given you some sound advice. Let it dry completely for at least a week and if possible depending on how thick the layers of paint maybe two weeeks it's better tobe patient than balls it up and have to strip it all down and start again.
  5. I'd go on a doughnut diet! looks like you wearing it on your leg......
  6. Also apply very light coats and leave for ten to fifteen minutes before each coat.
  7. Very informative. Can I just add that you really shouldn't use Mr Sheen on your armor as it does contain amonia which will in time yellow AbS. Best to find a polish without this in it.
  8. Told you could do it. Really good mate, well done.
  9. Looking good Vern! Keep up the good work.
  10. Hi Turrican, I was never really making them , I made a couple, one set for me and another for someone else. I just got a sheet of thin ali, Some tin snips, a file and cut it out to the template design above and then fabricated some cylinders from some tubing and some plastic screw covers and used a bit of plumbers epoxy putty to make the end caps fit on. Then used some thin rod and cut them to length for the middle pin bits. I simply stuck it all together with superglue. Done!

hi Steve, I have just got off the phone with SDS and they have assured me that you shadow is being done as we speak. He was hoping to have had it ready for this week but some of the pull and plastic just wasn't up to his usual standard and it should be finished next week. The reason for the delay is that the first batch of black ABS that they got was rubbish and it's not until you stretch the plastic after heating on the vac former does this become apparent. Some companies have been cutting back on certain ways the plastic is manufactured and for normal use it is fine but when you are stretching it to the limits required for for Trooper armor it's not. So rather than send out sub standard armor to you and others they had to order another batch which took a bout a month or so to get in stock at the distributers. He is really sorry and said that you will get your armor. It's no excuse but it is also his busiest time of the year for his Canoe business and things do get a bit on top sometimes. They have and will email you again tonight I'm told, to explain this but I thought as I know already I should let you know in advance. I hope this helps, Mark.

Hi Steve, Mate............I had no idea tat this was still going on! Why haven't you PMed me? I do know AA yes, I wouldn't say we are best friends by any stretch of the imagination but I should be able to help you, or at least try. Can you PM me all your details and the date you paid and any other info that you feel would help me tracking your stuff down. The last I heard from AA is that he had shipped it but I will certainly check that out for you. It is a Bank holiday here this weekend so Monday won't happen but I can try on Tuesday for you. Really sorry to hear this my man, but I don't have anything to do with his business so please don't blame me...... I will do my upmost to get it sorted for you.
  15. I got some on eBay. Saved alot of running about.....
  16. Sorry DF, I was under the Impression this was new armor from a new maker of some recently sold moulds. As you were enjoy your new armor when it finally arrives.
  17. Cheers for the clarification Chris. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
  18. You want E6000 or Plastic weld
  19. Chris, Are these not from the moulds you recently sold?
  20. Nice pics and a sweet looking set of armor. These are the molds I was looking to buy but I later found out that they are yet another recasted set from Matt(TE) They are nice but not quite what they seem as far as unmodified original molds. That's what stopped me. Still a nice set of armor though but just not a directly associated lineage as one is led to believe.
  21. I think I have some E11 Graphics on my computer somewhere. Pm me you email, your welcome to anything I can dig up. ;.
  22. That would be a TE,TE2, TM or a Gino for the time being I should imagine.
  23. That looks great! I have a metal cased counter here. As soon as I get the time I'll take some pics for you.
